Very endearing this Meca revolt, it pays homage to the mangas of the 80s, James Bond atmosphere, as you can see on the box. It is teeming with small funny details.
The bezel is fixed and interchangeable (a second one is provided), we find inscriptions on the top right in a very original way, like on the lens of a camera.
The case takes the atypical forms of the meca 2, this time a little less angular.
The bezel is screwed on very easily which allows to change look.
The dial is straight out of a manga, with its second yellow lightning and its small black syringe hands.
The bronze-colored crown is screwed, because make no mistake it is a real tool watch waterproof to 200 m with an indestructible myota 82S0 caliber.
The very nice case back represents a combat swimmer at the foot of a lighthouse.
The tropical bracelet is very pleasant to wear.
It's a fun and entertaining watch, everything is done very seriously, the quality is amazing and the comfort is unmatched.
For adventurers nostalgic for A2 recreation!

Funny tool watch 

I just realized that I haven't introduced you to my C2!
I had the pleasure of picking up this watch at the showroom and chatting with the creators.
A very beautiful 2-level dial, sunburst for the minute track and with a gray seabed map with a touch of blue.
The case exudes quality, Akrone working a lot with the army.
The logo is a hexagon with an ermine (and yes Brittany!) inside, all forming the A of Akrone.
Waterproof to 300 m, it is ready for adventure.
The case back represents a kraken in homage to Jules Verne and the city of Nantes.
A fun little detail, there is a return of the Kraken's legs on the dial in the seabed map.
A very pretty knurling of the signed crown which allows a good grip.
The two-tone bezel indicating hours and minutes allows a clever "GMT function" for travelers.
I really like its polished skeleton hands and applied indexes.
There, I think I've covered this beauty.


The adventurer

I can't get enough of this dial! Minimalist and full of details, the faceted indexes and the sunny blue dial have a great time in the light. The minute track is cut into the dial. A small set ruby is at six o'clock to indicate that the movement is automatic (miyota 9039).
A very good quality/price ratio for this first model a little more high-end timex, a pretty "skeleton" case quite original, the bracelet has not been forgotten with a "snap button" instead of the loop, a small laboratory of ideas this watch!

The Timex 

Nice design for this krono-sprinter, the latest Lima watch candy, a minimalist design that plays with colors, this black sub-counter as a nod to the car racing of the 70s (see the box).
Cream dial with just a 12 at midnight ;) or the off-center inscriptions accentuate the asymmetry, which is the most beautiful effect. Bi-compax mention, because yes it is a real bi-compax (two complications) 24 hours and chrono timer for the sub-counters.
The "square circle" tachymeter bezel adds to the vintage side of the watch.
The screwed crown takes the original shape of that of the Meca revolt.
Very nice engraving of the Lima logo on the case back.
All this, on a very pretty super comfortable bonklip bracelet.
For the price of a moonswatch, we have a pretty meca quartz!

Ready to race!

Ah the good old days of old toys, here is the Lima Meca 2, a minimalist watch with an original cream dial, old school as you want with the raised central disc indicating the minutes, the hands, the blue typography...

The concept immediately caught my eye, it is wound with a hexagonal butterfly key like a toy from yesteryear, which is quite funny.

The case is a block of finely brushed steel cut from the mass reinforcing the refined side.

The whole is very homogeneous and balanced, it is driven by a seiko nh35 visible on the back, behind a time travel gun (which the watch offers us) another fun detail.

Finally a watch that doesn't take itself seriously!

Fun and entertaining

Very happy with this small field watch small second, very readable with a beautiful lum. Brushed case and polished and brushed bezel on the top. Dirty dozen Modern with a timeless look. We feel that it is robust, its small diameter is very pleasant (37mm). The 100 m water resistance allows you to take it everywhere on an adventure. Personally I love it! Bravo Vario!

A great little waterproof Field watch

Same case as the retro dial, here is this new version in automatic version, the index/hand combo is magnificent, with nice details, the indexes reflect the slightest source of light and make it very readable, despite the absence of lum. Its all-steel look is resolutely vintage! A real pleasure to wear!

The brand in Akrone was created in 2015 in a Kickstarter campaign by Jean-Fran&ccedil;ois Kerboul and Erwan Kerneur in Nantes, France. Akrone is a French and Nantes brand founded in recent years. Being a watch enthusiast and collector, I had necessarily heard about it... Until the day a colleague who was also a collector arrived with an Akrone on his wrist... And so I was able to discover the excellent quality. So I acquired this pretty Akrone C02 Lagon, in a blue dial color that is rare in watchmaking. It is precisely its originality and its textured dial, as well as the engraved caseback that won me over. Akrone C02 Lagon - 300m

Featuring a C02 abyss model. This diving watch is distinguished by a dial on 2 levels: a first peripheral level with the indexes and a second central level with a map of the seabed. This verticality through the sapphire crystal gives us the impression of falling into the abyss towards the ocean floor. The case back is not left out with an engraving of a kraken that deploys its tentacles to the clasp of the "engineer" type bracelet. This watch exudes robustness with a water resistance of 300m and its adventurer look!

Acquired in July 2020, this watch is my 2nd compressor but my 1st Akrone, a dynamic French brand with an astonishing quality-price ratio. Miyota 9015 movement, 41.5mm diameter, 48mm horn-to-horn, 12.7mm thickness, AR sapphire crystal, beveled hands, bidirectional internal rotating bezel, screwed crowns and water-resistant to 300m => incredible specs for a price less than €600 at the time. The alternation of polished and matte is well placed, the dial with the raised seabed is original, as are the fluorescent green touches here and there, and the movement is impeccably adjusted. I regret a certain weight (170gr on steel bracelet) and a certain thickness, 2 points however inherent to this type of watch. A very nice purchase, this Compressor in Frégate color!
