Taking advantage of a very good offer on the Hodinkee website during the "flash sales", I am now the happy owner of this Autodromo Group B limited series.

I have been looking for a chronograph for a while, the choice is quite wide today and it is difficult to make a choice.

However, I wanted to get away from the "diving" or "aviation" theme a little.

First of all, concerning the purchase on the Hodinkee website, I am quite satisfied with the experience, only one downside, the packaging for shipping, relatively light, the watch box was really not secured in the cardboard.

When worn it is relatively light, it fits my small 17.5cm flat wrist well, the bracelet is quite easy to adjust. I still removed 6 links.
The push buttons are a little hard to start and stop the chronograph, but as I am not too used to chronographs, this does not shock me.
The winding of the movement is very smooth.

A quick test for the lume, it is not a diver so do not expect to have a headlight on your wrist. I still find it quite nice, the inscriptions on the tachometer part as well as the needles and the railway, give the impression of having a neon-type lighting which is really not unpleasant.

Now remains to be seen in time, this one will complete my collection for a little while.

In short, it is a pleasure purchase, especially since I have a chrono version of the Group B collection for less than the three-hand version currently in the catalog.

I share with you this opinion on the Nomos Ludwig reference 249, its name, "Duo white enamel".

So yes, we are far from the other models of the brand which have a much greater visibility, like the Orion, the Tangente and the Club for example.

So yes, also I think I can already hear the little internal voices of a large number of people: "What 33... 33mm, but that's small!"

It is not really the standard for a man's wrist, of course, but I share this watch with my partner for whom I bought an XS strap so that she can also have it on her wrist from time to time.

The opening of the dial gives the impression of wearing a vintage going to 35mm in diameter.
For your information, my wrist is rather flat and measures 17.5cm, the lugs of the watch do not protrude, it is very quickly forgotten thanks to its 6.6mm thickness (2.6mm for the movement) and its weight.... 33gr with the bracelet! 

An important point is the width between the lugs, which is 17mm, so either you buy the bracelets from Nomos, or you have a small custom bracelet made for fun. 

The Alpha.2 movement is very beautiful, the watch has a sapphire back that allows you to observe it for a long time (it is a shame to hide it). 
The winding is smooth, the adjustment flexible. 

I chose this watch both for the brand (because I wanted a Nomos for a long time), its finesse, the slightly vintage side and because with only two hands, time is discreet. 

It reminds me a bit of the Blancpain Villeret 2 gold hands with the caliber 21 (my dream...)

In short, for me it's 100% positive. I wear the watch regularly, outside of sports activities, as well in a suit as with jeans and a t-shirt.

Minimalist beauty à la Nomos

I recently got it back

The unpacking is quick! (Probably the excitement)

I like the simple and pleasant packaging, I don't ask for anything more with a watch. Not to mention the presence of a little personalized note, a very nice touch.

I am very satisfied, really, it is very beautiful.
The dial gives a little depth effect thanks to the hands, the indexes and the moon phase disc.

Perfect diameter for me, as is the finesse. On one of the photos you can see the comparison for the dial opening. Knowing that the Nomos is 33mm, the Longines 34.5mm and therefore the Mu:n 36mm.

The engraving on the back is splendid. The sticker will stay on it for a long time!

The bracelet is flexible and comfortable.

I am very happy to support the project with this small purchase. There is no shortage of quartz watches with a moon phase on the market, with Zeppelin among others, which was also in my sights. But it is not the same thing, here with the Mu:n there is a real philosophy that accompanies the moon phase.

In short, nothing to say on my side, very happy.

I recommend.

Another very important point is the communication with the brand, it is very pleasant to be able to communicate with the managers and they are there, listening to us and taking care to know if everything is going well.

I am sharing with you today my opinion on this Doxa Army.

I have now had the watch for 3 months and I can say that it is a real treat. I rarely take it off.

Why the Doxa as a diver?

It's simple, I wanted something other than the big brands that you find everywhere.

We are really on something more intimate. I never get tired of its dial.

It does not leave you indifferent when you meet other enthusiasts then

This watch is made to live, it was already on vacation with me recently (at the sea), the case does not mark easily except the back which shows a few micro-scratches more quickly.
A quick rinse with clear water to avoid salt accumulation.

The dimensions are very good: 
- diameter 42.5mm
- Thickness 11.95mm (compared to 13.65mm for the 300T)
- Between lugs 20mm

The bezel insert is in black ceramic.

Very good readability in the dark.

I put the watch through the timegrapher, it's impeccable, between 0/+1 second/day.

It weighs 170gr on the steel bracelet (with a few fewer links).
And 105gr on the BNO big hole vulcanized rubber bracelet

For information, my wrist is rather flat and is 17.5cm.

The only criticism I will make is its steel bracelet. Although very comfortable and the buckle very well designed. It is a little heavy for me.

A diver with character

Today I present to you this little Longines Presence yellow PVD steel.

Not the most famous reference from Longines, with a design that will not necessarily be for everyone, because "too classic, even old-fashioned" (Yes, yes, be honest!)
But which has the advantage of being accessible while having interesting characteristics.

Here is some information on this Longines:

Not bad, right?

The movement is the same as the Hydroconquest model, except for the power reserve which is announced at 72 hours. The base in both cases is an ETA 2892-A2.

This watch, very classic, is very suitable for both special occasions and days off with jeans.

Even if it has recently been removed from the Longines catalog, it is still possible to find its models with often a nice discount. In addition, the 5-year warranty also applies to these models, the date of purchase being authentic. This is the case for mine, which allows it to live more serenely.

Personally, I don't think I'll keep mine, not because I don't like it (otherwise why did I buy this watch), but simply because it exists in an 18K Gold version and that's something that's missing from my collection.

In short, someone who wants a simple, branded watch, in auto, a good power reserve and to wear at the office, but also near the fireplace with a glass of whisky (in moderation of course), it does the job! 

Plus it's a mixed watch! So we can share it when we're a couple XD!

Here is my little feedback on this Horloscaphe.

This is the NC001 first quartz version from January 2019.

I was lucky enough to get this watch thanks to a collector on Instagram whom I thank again.

I really like this version because of the black hands and its versatility. Why quartz?

For its ease of use, its Ronda 715 Li movement and its 10-year battery life and its EOL function.

Overall the watch is perfect, it is a toolwatch that deserves to live, the brushing of the case holds up well despite everyday aggregations. Almost all the bracelets fit perfectly on the Horloscaphe.
The packaging is simple and pleasant, I appreciate it, because in terms of storage it does not take up space.

On this 2019 model, the only slightly negative point, in my opinion, is the lume, which I find quite weak. Plus the alignment of the bezel, not 100% in front of the index on mine.

Otherwise, it's a real pleasure to have this watch on the wrist, a brand that deserves to be discovered, I find the prices honest.

This version was born from a collaboration with Hodinkee on a base of 500 models spread over 5 x 100 copies per livery.
The model that I present here is a version 037 close to the color combinations of the team sponsored by Olio FIAT.
The midnight blue background and the orange-yellow hands create a very particular and unusual atmosphere in watchmaking.
The choice was made on this small series to use a Sellita SW510MB hand-wound mechanical movement.
The finishes of the case and bracelet are as always very neat and above all vary completely in terms of treatment and color from one livery to another.
For such a small production, the effort is remarkable.
