—> For this watch purchase I had a simple specification:
-A second-hand watch a little vintage but not too much! :-)
-A watch that can be worn every day without fear of water resistance, or other...
-A pleasant watch in all circumstances!
So I started looking for a watch but with a contained diameter, sapphire crystal, Swiss quartz movement, thin and robust enough at the same time and with significant water resistance to go in the water in summer 😁
And by dint of prospecting I came across this magnificent Tag Heuer:
-Hell of a look!
-Super thin case 10.5mm and 38mm in diameter
-300 m water resistance
-sapphire crystal
-greyed silver and sunray dial of all beauty
-incredible finishes!
-advantage of a "modern vintage" of the luminova which makes its effect in the dark 🤩
Icing on the cake the price which is the price of the second hand and watches a little put aside.

An everyday tool in all circumstances

—> This watch has been a thoughtful purchase for a few years.
—> It is a safe bet as to the choice because it is timeless in its design (the golden ratio is hidden in it?;-))
—> It is a safe bet because it is a high quality product with the guarantee that it is followed and whose parts are still very easy to find. It can therefore be worn daily without fear of breaking and no longer finding parts.
—> It is also a legendary watch,
known by enthusiasts. It is very discreet, can be worn easily in all situations and with its 42mm diameter it remains very pleasant to wear.
—> I am very happy and I never tire of my Legendary Moonwatch Professional 1861 which are the latest 1861 references,
having a new but somewhat outdated watch:
—> 5 atm water resistance, manual winding, hesalite crystal and old design movement… It gives an extraordinary old-fashioned charm! When you wind the crown and you hear a clicking sound, it's great :-) 
—>As someone who loves old watches, I'm delighted with this new purchase! 


Universe Watch

Today I present a special watch on several aspects:

—> A watch that embodies its glorious past,
—> A toolwatch that can withstand anything,
—> A watch with incredible finishes and reasonable proportions compared to its performance and waterproofness.

The case partly takes the shape of its vintage big sister the Genesis with fine lines (for a diver) but also its knurled crown. However, it takes a little more diameter to modernize and is 41 mm which remains reasonable when you have it on your wrist.

The dials have nice colors. But also a small detail that I like a lot:
Beuchat embossed on it on the entire dial. Never seen before.

The superluminova is as efficient as on Seiko, Citizen or other similar sisters.

The hands also take the shapes of its ancestors Genesis and Abyssal.

The steel bezel is firm and has an excellent grip with its sharp notches.

The strap is quite simple in urethane like Citizen or Seiko and has a small drop, because at the horns there is 20 mm and at the buckle 18 mm. The buckle is also simple with Beuchat written on it and is in brushed finish like almost the entire watch.

The edges of the case are in sandblasted finish very lightly.

The case back is incredibly engraved!

Serial number, small diver like in the old days…

The caliber is quite simple: Miyota 8215; many find it crude, but it is a very resistant caliber, and renowned because worthy cousin of Citizen more than renowned for their robustness.
Another advantage any watchmaker will repair it and is not expensive to maintain.

I will finish on the incredible water resistance also 500m!

A watch that also has a special resonance for me:
It was offered to me by the CEO Beuchat for my work done for them.

Worthy heir to the glorious past

—> A diving watch without compromise, it has incredible assets! A water resistance of 400 bars or 4000 meters! (tested at 6000 meters at the time!)
—> A bold and timeless design:
Finely brushed stainless steel bezel with screws to hold the bezel insert.
The case is polished on the edges and remains very thin (9mm) without the back.
—> It has all the charm of diving watches from the 90s; 3mm thick flat mineral glass, sober design, quality brushed stainless steel and no frills! The ultimate tool watch! But which remains thin and with beautiful proportions 39mm in diameter a magnificent knurled crown with a nice yellow cabochon, with the technology that characterizes the watch, written on it "HPS" hydraulic pressure system.
In short, a must have!
The glossy dial is simple but magnificent with unusual indexes.
The Mercedes Rolex-style hands are also typical of the 90s. 
The second hand, with its little arrow tip, is painted yellow, as are some small writing details, also the famous "Hydraulic pressure system"
The Isa 1198 quartz movement is very robust and is necessary because the watch is filled with silicone fluid.
I repeat a must have😊✌🏻!!!!

I am not going to rewrite the same review as the previous Genesis 4000 since they are the same but with a yellow dial version...
I will only add an adjective that is not the list of adjectives to characterize these Beuchat:

The sequel to the forgotten rares

Having retrained in watchmaking in 2016, I of course wanted to treat myself to a watch if I got my CAP… Once I got my CAP, I started browsing LBC to find what I wanted (at the time, the DIALICIOUS platform unfortunately didn’t exist…)
At that time, ORIS was also making headlines with a reissue of the “diver sixty five”
I decided to go looking for a similar model, and after a few weeks I found what I wanted! What’s more, the person was next door to me…
A magnificent Oris Star diver from the 1968 era from January (the month of my birthday) according to the inside of the case back.
—> Super compressor case, black aluminum bezel,
Lacquered dial, tritium index, ringed super dome plexiglass and waterproof crown signed Oris, not screwed down.
—> Manufactured movement Oris 645 KIF:
- First movement from them with a jeweled Swiss anchor.
- Antishock KIF Flector.
- Bi-directional bezel in black aluminum and tritium point at 12 o'clock.
- Case so super waterproof Compressor of the time with clipped back, diameter 36mm and thickness without the plexi 10mm.
- Tropic bracelet from the 60s new in stock found by me.
- The crown in the style of big crown finishes the diving look of the time and luckily it is original signed Oris.

A very precise watch the Oris 645 manufacture movement is excellent and robust.
The watch is very easy to wear with its contained diameter and its low thickness a beautiful skindiver that slips under the sleeve of the office suit 😀
