Yema YEAU 011, automatic, 40 mm diameter. I think I've had it for 8 years (?) ... I don't wear it... not to my taste anymore. It works very well and is in new condition. I don't know what the movement is, Yema 2000 perhaps? A model without problems that makes me think of an attempt at a revival of the brand. Since then, the evolution is striking and so much the better.

First step for change

YEMA Superman 500, 39 mm, "integrated" FKM Viton bracelet. In my budget, I hesitated between the Hamilton Murph 39, Hanhart Preventor, Baltic Hermétique, Tissot Chronomètre, Certina DS2...and then, newsletter from Yéma...promo - 30% on end of series. I consult and, I see this Superman 500 in several variations. I really didn't think about it. So I looked on YouTube the opinions...Very positive. It will be the 500, without date, black background and cream index in 39 rubber strap. Ordered and received. After three days (!!!) of use, I am won over. Of course, it seems to come from another era, but deep down, I had to look for that. It is magnificent. The finish with this case back, this dial...to the touch, when you turn the crown...the quality of the bracelet which has the defect of being "integrated", not my thing, so change to be expected. Really a nice watch.

Casio G-Shock GA-2100HD-8AER...once again, trapped by one of the variations of this GA2100 series...there are so many. But this one caught my eye, a little more. Mouse gray strap and case, white background which makes excellent readability. It seems that at night the lume is great. to be seen later. And above all the quality, reliability and solidity of Casio. Really happy with my purchase. Finally, it fits very well on my 18 cm wrist.

For 100 bucks you get nothing...yes, a super G-Shock!

My Lanco automatic from the late 60s early 70s was purchased over 10 years ago in NOS condition. It is about 36mm in diameter and has a beautiful sunray purple dial background. I have never had it serviced, which does not prevent it from keeping time without problem with about 40 hours of autonomy.

Vintage as desired

Casio G-Shock GLX 5600... a very well-known model from the brand with tide times (which I admit will be of no use to me!!!) but which due to its "glossy" finish can only be found in Japan. This gives me one more souvenir. Of course it is battery-powered (given lifespan of 10 years) and fits the wrist differently I think. Less comfortable than my usual ones. The shiny side is weird at first glance, but it is for this originality that I took it. Around 65 euros. Good choice Xavier!!!

Holiday memory

Casio G-Shock, Baby-G, BGD5650...I had a hard time convincing my partner to buy this sporty, solar, radio-controlled, waterproof to 100 m...light, etc...model that was only available in black in France. On vacation in Japan, we found it in brown. She fell in love with it and is crazy about it! These dimensions adapted to small wrists completed her decision. An indestructible and timeless model. Top buy.

Madame's G-SHOCK!!!

Seiko 5 sport, SRPL05K1...limited series of 9999 copies, which for me is useless. Nice neo retro model with a contained diameter, 38.5 mm. It comes with two bracelets. I prefer the leather one but aesthetically the metal one suits it better. Its movement is the 4R36, no problem. Good perceived quality too. Mention for the days in Kanji. A little heavy. Rotating non-notched bezel. Green "luminova" treatment not tested over time. Water resistant to 10 bar. A little pleasure at 460 euros which is not exaggerated.

Casio G-Shock 2100B...on vacation in Japan, I thought I would bring back, among other souvenirs, a watch. I wanted a Kuoe Kyoto. Not impressed. I had Casio in the back of my mind. And while wandering around, I came across the G-Shock store in Osaka. My blood boiled!!! Do they have the G2100 in red? Yessss! No hesitation, purchase made...with for me all that it represents. Should I write an article about it? This model is very well known...I would have preferred it in solar, but what a pleasure. And obviously, I will lack objectivity on the rating!

This Yema is magnificent. 39 mm, car, rally leather strap, sports literature all around, a quality finish and a splendid general look....I'm crazy about it! I had spotted it last year but it had slipped out of my sights...and then when I went to the brand's website, the beauty was on sale!!! No hesitation and no regrets upon receipt. Really a great purchase, as the vintage codes are there...Not passionate about car racing but loving cars in general, the collaboration with Alpine suits me very well. And this case back, and this pin buckle and this blue second hand signed Alpine and....and ...

A truly beautiful model from Yéma

Orient classic automatic 38 mm. Of a simplicity, a readability and a reliability at the top. Of course the leather strap is not the most comfortable, the oscillating weight is noisy ... without manual winding. But as soon as I move it, it starts again without eyebrows. A basic model without problem.

The base

Hamilton Classic Intra-matic auto, 38 mm. I had been looking at it on the internet for a long time. Its discretion, its finesse, its elegance, its iridescent gray dial, its smooth leather strap made me want to buy it, without having ever seen it in store. The sales precipitated this purchase. Once arrived, I realized how difficult it was to read the time. The glass had unbearable reflections!!! I'm keeping it anyway because I really like this model. I will give a bad rating for visual comfort.

Discreet, elegant, qualitative...but not very readable

March LA.B AM1, 40 mm, Forest green...I had a hard time spending more than 1000 euros on a French brand watch...and then as often, in front of the model, I cracked...and have no regrets! The finish is superb, the buffalo leather strap is qualitative, the Citizen movement is without problem...as for this neo retro look, that's what made me provoke the purchase. On my 16.5 cm wrist, the diameter is perfect. The only problem, the thickness of the model, a detail...one of my favorite watches.

No regrets...

Undone basecamp classic automatic, 40 mm. I fell in love with its design. Its movement is the Seiko nh35a, so no problem. It had a khaki NATO strap, a piece that I didn't like. So I replaced it with a silicone one that does the job very well. Screw-down crown, proven waterproofness. The only problem is that when I pull the crown to set the time, you can feel the dial moving inside, not pleasant.

Original

TIMEX Marlin automatic, 40 mm. I already have two from the previous edition. They were enough for me. And then as I wandered around the specialist sites, bam... new models with attractive colours. So what to do? 15% off? Argument of weakness!!! the blue one, the green one or the green one, the blue one? My finger slides twice and pays once... fast delivery and there they are. The pluses: superb dial colours, aesthetics to my taste, no date (!), stop seconds (a detail), reliable movement, quality leather straps, sufficient luminescent treatment. The minus: acrylic "glass" with lots of reflections. I put a patch on, will it work???

The blue one or the green one? The green one or the blue one?...

Mido Commander dato/day auto 40 mm. I changed the original strap in brown imitation crocodile leather for this one in smooth cognac leather. It is a watch that I would have preferred in 39 mm given that with the white dial, it is a little bigger. It is reliable, dressy and rare! Mido is not a brand that is yet very well known in Western Europe.

Hispanic / Swiss, a nice mix

Zodiac will be dragon, about 40 mm on each side, which makes it appear more imposing on the wrist with its cushion shape. Screwed crown. I did not know this model and, when I saw its hands and this red second hand I was charmed by the model. Original pin buckle which is not my thing.

Tissot PRS 516 small seconds...42 mm...I replaced the leather strap with a silicone one that suits it very well. The three sub-dials of the seconds make it original. Small downside, its autonomy which is not great (less than 40 hours) and its thickness. Otherwise the manufacturing quality is very present.

Not disappointed, but just a couple of little things

It's simple, I love it. Tissot PRS 516 purchased in 2009. Black rally leather strap. About 40 mm. Really good manufacturing quality. It works perfectly. When I wear it, it's certainly a sports watch, it goes everywhere. The luminosity of the hands in the dark is also very good and its readability is excellent.

Yema Superman Héritage quartz, 39 mm, coral dial...pleasure purchase far from the controversies of color, movement, legitimacy...I found this watch very pretty, preferably with the tropic bracelet. Once on the wrist it is light but with a little lack of comfort due to my bracelet / wrist size ratio! About 310 euros...that's fine!!!👍😁

Tissot PRX automatic that I had bought with a metal bracelet and for the winter I offered him the leather one! Superb classic watch, with a top finish and autonomy... I would have preferred it in 39 mm, a detail so much this watch has the codes of an almost perfect model. With a Tissot price.

Swatch MoonSwatch, mission to Saturn...I said: "Great PR stunt...they're not bad...all plastic, irreparable, 250 euros, not for me!...." And then, months went by and I myself passed a shop in which I asked if there were MoonSwatches...and bam! Yes! 8 different ones...and then I fell in love with the mission to Saturn...very fun watch...what a stunt from the Swatch group!!!

For what ???!!!

Baltic aquascaphe blue grit bronze first numbered series (279/300) in 39 mm. Original model which has already bathed and which has held up well. This bronze alloy oxidizes only by becoming matte. Reliable model which is very robust. Comfortable on a daily basis despite its weight. Only the after-sales service has never responded to my request to post a review on their site. Too busy certainly wanting to play in the big league internationally.

Original French bronze diver

Hamilton Khaki field mechanical in 38 mm. I had the beige strap mounted on it, it did not suit me, lack of comfort. I opted for a 2-piece nato which changed everything. The watch itself exudes robustness when I wind it. No play in the crown. With good autonomy, more than 3 days for sure. Simple and nice purchase.

A nice mechanism

My Tudor Black Bay 41 is mounted on an original NATO strap that seems fragile at first glance but turns out to be solid in use. Its readability and lack of date were part of my purchase choice. The only downside for me is its battery life. Which for a watch of this price is less good than other more expensive models.

Simple, readable watch with a sense of robustness

My Lip Nautic Ski 7th continent has a magnificent dial color... a blue... you'd think you were there. 41 mm, in polished steel (too much?), it has a recycled plastic strap that is not very comfortable. In addition, its oscillating weight is quite noisy and the screwed crown catches a little. I can't wait to give it a little bath!

My Hamilton Khaki Action Sport automatic, 40 mm, from 2005 is in new condition. It is a watch that I am very attached to. I put a suede leather strap on it that suits it very well. The removable crown protector gives it originality. The matte case plays into its discretion. I like it very much.

I never get tired of it

Yema navygraf in 39 mm. With tropic bracelet. A very pretty model from Yema. I was seduced by the orange color of the indexes and hands. Very readable. The case back with the old brand logo is superb. The bracelet is just comfortable. The whole is of a beautiful perceived quality. Discreet in addition. As for the movement, it suits me very well.

A nice model...

Citizen Promaster Land, 42 mm diameter, solar... I replaced the metal bracelet with a natural rubber one that suits it terribly well. It's a model without a back! So if there's a problem I think sending it to Citizen will be essential. Steel case finish with screwed crown, water-resistant to 200 m... it's a bit heavy but remains a really practical model. In addition, the luminous coating on the hands/Indexes is efficient.

A top tool watch

Briston clubmaster classic, gun metal, 40 mm. Bought new 1 month ago, from an old stock, so with a great price. My second from the brand. Khaki strap color with "gunmetal" case finish. It remains readable with the luminescent treatment of the hands. No date, not useful. Discreet in this color. Very well finished, with its well-centered chrono hand, it changes from a Moonswatch!!!

Bristol, clubmaster classic, 40 mm, blue dial, black nylon NATO... it originally had the brown leather NATO, but I preferred to equip it with the black nylon one... this is my second Bristol. The first was the chrono model, but it had lost a hand from a sub-dial! So I returned it, refunded it and bought the simplest one. I like it. Very readable. Always original. Passionate about beautiful mechanics and watchmaking, the Briston brand quickly caught my attention, and more precisely the Clubmaster Classic collection. 
One model among them particularly caught my eye: the "color". This version discovered on the Internet (rare photos and articles about it) is, to my great regret, almost impossible to find until the day I decided to go to the official store in the Marais in Paris and, miracle of miracles, they are all there (or bad luck for my credit card). 
It is available in several colors (red, yellow, blue, white, black, burgundy, pink). You will also find it in a chronograph version. 
This model, available in an infinite number (or almost), is suitable for both men and women. The Clubmaster Classic and other models of the brand such as the Vintage appeal to both men and women with their finesse and elegance. 
My partner and I fell for the very colorful "Classic" collection, which allows you to swap bracelets or even exchange watches. However, it must be recognized that the 40 mm case can be quite imposing on a very thin wrist. However, it seems to me that the design, both elegant and casual, attenuates (unlike other models of the same size), The cellulose acetate case is 40 mm. 
Well proportioned, its square shape with rounded corners, or more precisely a cambered square, is quite original. 
The case is available in different colors as mentioned above. The colors are bright and well stretched, which guarantees a very nice and flashy effect in its brightest colors. 
The perceived quality is good, both solid and refined. The crown where the brand emblem appears is finely made. However, it seems a little fragile to me, especially when setting the time and date. 
The chrome effect on the edge of the dial unfortunately tends to "pit" very slightly. However, I have the feeling that this problem - which was present on the first series produced - has been resolved. The back of the steel case is engraved with the logo and name of the watch, as well as all the information concerning it, sober and chic once again.
