Here is the latest one which is a Seiko Alpinist the latest Prospex model reissue of the famous and much coveted Sarb017, with its green sunray dial and its gilt indexes!
My model came out with the famous cyclops on the date which spoils a little this sublime dial, without further ado I modified all that and with a little trick I removed all that to give Caesar what is Caesar's! 😉
Even if the date is white it does not shock at all, the watch is now to my taste with the crazy charm of this so emblematic model. You will see in the photos before and after the removal of the cyclops, good reading thank you.

Seiko alpinist prospex

Here is one of my vintage, a so-called jumbo Lip with a gold-plated case in the art deco style from the 50s I think with the famous R25, size 38 mm, good size for the time and small seconds, it has been restored, revised and re-plated by a watchmaker friend in Belgium, it is like new with its white dial which has suffered the traces of time with a lunar effect. A marvel and a piece of French watchmaking history on my wrist.

Ma Lip vintage jumbo 

Here is a rather rare model, 
Indeed it is the first eco-drive model 
Presented in 1974 by Citizen, a prototype that was never marketed at the time, 
The first marketed model was released in 1976. 
In 2020 Citizen re-released this model in commemoration on the occasion of the anniversary of its marketing in Italy (which was at the time the first country to sell eco-drive models in Europe). 
It is a limited edition of 750 copies. 
And of which I am the happy owner, another piece of history on the wrist.

7723, just the first quartz alarm watch, in the 70s Seiko continued to drive the point home with ever more innovation in quartz.
A marvel with its octagonal bezel in line with the style of that time!
I would add a dedication to Super Yo-yo, he will be recognized for his pipes because although it is in very good aesthetic condition, the bitch was a little capricious to start again!
But it is done, it works now.

I could not find an original bracelet, but I found one that suits it well.
It has a case that we recognize in the seiko or grand seiko style!
A sublime dial, which changes color, really crazy!
In short, I am under its spell!

King quartz 

Here is my Citizen c7 with its magnificent green sunray dial, famous reissues of the seven from 1965. Powered by the caliber 8200 - its domed glass reminiscent of old acrylic glasses. With its day window at 12 o'clock and date at 3 p.m., the watch that was given to me for Christmas by my wife. This dial is so deep that you get lost in it at every glance. Another nugget from Citizen, bravo 👏.

A pebble in the pond, this citizen will have left its mark, I will not introduce it to you because we know it now, it is finally available so we should not deprive ourselves of it, it is magnificent in real life better than in the photo, to be consumed without moderation, it is well made and the words criticized the clasp, it is done I have kept it up 😉. Citizen Tsuyosa

Orient from my collection, I acquired it a couple of years ago ordered from Japan, reference RA-AS0103A10B, rare in Europe, open heart dial with day/night window, the dial is exceptional I have no words to describe it, it is in blue mother-of-pearl and has more or less deep pink/yellow blue reflections in short I can't explain it you have to see it in real life. We forget to look at the time sometimes I look at it at least 4 or 5 times before really looking at the time 😂. Magnificent watch I never get tired of it.

An indescribable dial

I wanted it for a long time, searched for it for a long time, hesitated a lot because I wanted it to be exclusive, a watch that gives me emotion, the watch of my 40th birthday, every time I wear it it reminds me of that day surrounded by family and friends without whom I would never have been able to realize my dream. Here is a truly atypical, rare and exceptional watch, there are so many things to say about this one because it is truly special and rare in our countries. Indeed it is a 1974 model released only on the Japanese market. Advan collection with a 7039 caliber - 21 jewels days / date quite classic but then the rest is completely the opposite .... It is called the Seascape Model: it uses the sun as a logo and the dial represents a sunrise or sunset above the water and the pink color of the dial represents the pink reflection of it at sunrise, and the dial from the top separated by the horizon represents the sky where the sun appears, so much poetry for this dial. The glass when it is beveled in 3 parts follows the shape of the asymmetrical case both in height and in its profile, and it is engraved in it the brand and the model (advan) which is not on the dial it seems that the inscriptions float just like the railway also which is engraved in the glass. So many details and I may forget some. It was marketed in two models, the one that represents the sunset and mine which represents the sunrise. Absolutely indescribable.

Here is a small Seiko reference 7009, I inherited it from my uncle who is unfortunately no longer with us, so I dedicate this review to him, he who was also a fan of Seiko just like me, and this watch will remind me of the good times spent with him, this Seiko was his first who bought it new in the 80s, automatic caliber reference 7009-876A day date with a tonneau case typical of his years, I had the case back engraved in his memory, don't worry uncle it is in good hands. Rest in peace!

Having had several problems with this caliber, I decided to save it anyway, by recovering dial/hands and a seiko skx case (yes the nh35 is not compatible with the original seiko 7002 case), and in addition grafting a seiko nh35 caliber, more modern and nevertheless more repairable, by the way I equipped it with a domed sapphire which sublimates its magnificent dial! I found my diver 😉

The Great Wave of Kanagawa, better known as The Wave, is a famous Japanese print by the Japanese painter, ukiyo-e specialist, Hokusai, published in 1830 or 1831 during the Edo period.
The case is a Seiko 6105-8000 case from the late 60s, water-resistant 200m, 120 click unidirectional bezel, sapphire crystal, full lume dial, it has an exemplary finish and a sacred presence on the wrist.



San Martin ‘ kanagawa’

My first automatic watch that immersed me in this vast and interesting world that is mechanical watchmaking, before I was more of a Casio, then for Christmas I chose this Citizen it had just come out and its khaki green dial, its aviator style and its vintage style case attracted me, and bam here I am with my first automatic mechanical watch on my wrist, Citizen Platform Mechanical Automatic 42 mm case and 8200 movement. I wear it very often because there is something between us! Which is indescribable.

My first mechanical watch

Here is a watch with a legendary movement from the 50s.
The famous As 1130 movement, also called "WEHRMACHTSWERKS" dating from 1896 founded in Grenchen in Switzerland.
This particularly robust and reliable caliber equipped many watches during the WW2 war, this one is fitted in an Imperios called jumbo 38 mm, beautiful proportion for a watch from those years.
Its dial is magnificent with a beautiful patina, accompanied by a green nubuck strap which gives it a beautiful presence. A beautiful piece of history on the wrist.

Automatic caliber year 1965.
With its minimalist dial, its applied cubic-shaped indexes and its gray sunray dial, it seems simple but embeds the date, the day and its caliber 6206 in gold finish of 26 jewels and the diashock protection.
The case is also simple with its integrated crown at 3 o'clock, it is simple and timeless.
Its screwed case back where the Sea Lion appears and the main characteristics of the calibers quite a novel.
It is sublime, despite the traces of time visible on the dial.

Here is another Seiko 7002 - with its yellow dial, rarer than the other dials (usually black) - in a beautiful general condition - it has undergone a change of hands because the original hands were really tired, it has been somewhat modded, I also gave it a beautiful jubilee worthy of the name Starpcode with a beautiful folding clasp!
Which gives it a more qualitative appearance than the original one.

In the center and midnight blue around, quite a program, this dial is truly magnificent which sparkles at the slightest source of light! With an integrated case. The plexiglass has been changed for a more beautiful effect! Beautiful acquisition and one more Seiko for my collection. Thank you

An atypical Seiko 5

Here is my Seiko 5 - Snke01k1 - with an integrated case - 60 minute bezel - equipped with an automatic caliber 7S26 - shiny black dial - applied stick indexes as well as the 5 logo. Day date black background - 36 mm brushed case - the perfect watch for summer and in tune with the times with its integrated bracelet!

Hello everyone, I present to you my latest acquisition, a Seiko again yes I know I think I am really a "Seiko fan" 😂 now I am starting to have a small collection, so this one is a Bell-Matic ref: 4006-7000T for the purists from January 1972. Indeed it is the first automatic alarm watch released, it consists of a magnificent gray canvas dial, with day date and alarm function. It was given to me yesterday for my birthday. And one more iconic Seiko in the collection! Truly a fabulous brand. Thank you

Seiko bell-matic 

I present to you my 70s skin diver, 38mm diameter, with its shiny black dial, its typical hands of those years. It has a rotating bezel in both directions, and is equipped with the France ébauche FE140 caliber which, from memory, equipped certain Yema of the time. It is very endearing and I have great pleasure in the scope. Unfortunately, I have not found any information on this brand which has now disappeared like many!

Skin diver vintage 

Indeed "the watch that pleases", Kiple this brand was born from this slogan! Small French brand that no longer exists now, a crazy story to discover in French watchmaking. It is a small diver, well it has more style we will say, with its bi-directional black Bakelite bezel, divers logo engraved on the case back, screwed back, but it has no indication of water resistance level, nor screwed crown! In short its cherry red dial and its case diameter of 38 give it a beautiful presence on the wrist. In the lineage of Yema and Lip, another good slice of history in my collection.

The Kiple watch

Here is a small watch (28X28), from the 30s, standard size you might say for the time, the dial is not stamped with a brand, nor is the hand-wound caliber which is nevertheless of good quality, it was revised by a friend who sold it to me by the way. The most surprising thing is this brand of case manufacturer Denisson who made cases at the time for Rolex, and Omega to name just these major brands. A great discovery and a piece of history on the wrist. I love it!

My little robust Lip in perfect condition! 35 mm embossed dial in superb condition, small 35 mm gold case makes it a small dressy unisex watch, with its crocodile-embossed leather strap that suits it perfectly. Manual caliber with central second, once again a small vintage at a mini cost, but with crazy charm!

This is my wedding watch that my wife gave me to celebrate our union. We chose it together, she and I fell in love with this particular case with its straight handles and its rivets on the edges. It is a Seiko Premier ancestor of today's Presage collection, white guilloché dial, blue hands, sapphire crystal and open back to admire the automatic 4R35 caliber decorated for the occasion. 40 mm case which makes it the perfect dress watch!

Vintage Seiko from October 1975, from my personal collection, caliber 6602 manual winding. 36 mm case - date silver sunray dial, very good condition for its age, coupled with a navy blue leather strap which suits it wonderfully and brings out the tritium indexes. A magnificent little dress watch.

Ricoh cryscut UFO automatic watch, Japanese brand that no longer exists today, 42 mm case without lugs, found on Vinted, I fell for its very special case, the watch is in its original condition, the deep blue dial is damaged unfortunately, but that's the charm of vintages, we love them for their little flaws and their very special style.

Here is one of my divers that I love, it's my 4th, the story of this watch is funny, it's the 4th that I own in fact I always sold the other 3 and I always regretted it, and I took this one back a mako 1 and I fell in love with this second crown at 2 p.m., its slate black dial, it follows me everywhere now and I don't plan on parting with it!

I really like the Citizen brand, which makes many nice and reliable models at low prices. This one is powered by a solar Eco-drive that ensures precision and autonomy. But it's its very original look that seduced me. A crown in an unusual position, a 60 at 12 o'clock, a big black bezel and a touch of orange to brighten up the dial. I would add a comfortable rubber strap. The only downside is that the date window is strangely planted on the 3. It's not great. In conclusion, it's an unpretentious but pretty and pleasant watch.

Sporty and accessible

Citizen has relaunched the crystron model with a limited edition only for the Italian market. (3 variations, black dial shown here, green dial on black pvd and blue dial). The watch sports the 70's style of the crystron released for the first time in Italy (hence the limited edition in this country, 750 pieces per variation with numbering on the back). The career is fine and pleasant and can go as well to a woman as to a man. In broad terms: Mineral glass, 5atm, eco drive 6 months in the dark, day-date, 3 circles drawn on the glass. I particularly appreciate the lightness of the watch, the Milanese mesh bracelet facilitating the adjustment as well as the crown almost completely integrated into the case. At less than 200e this product is great!
