Nicknamed Poor Man Navitimer, my first pilot watch given to me for my 30th birthday by my wife ❤, what can I say, 16 years later I still enjoy dressing it with a new strap, everything suits it, nato, special forces para elastic, and the incredible original steel with solid links. I never understood and used the scale on the bezel that allows you to calculate everything 😂. Screwed pushers and crowns, water-resistant to 200m, its curved glass gives a sublime depth to the dial depending on the angle. Its only flaw is that it is quartz but how could it be mechanical at a retail price of €450 at the time, and found for around €250 in Japan as was the case for us. The battery lasts 5 years and costs a handful of euros. I think this watch is hard to find today, perhaps an imminent production stoppage. It's iconic and I can definitely never part with it.

SNA411 you know it if you are a connoisseur!

I think every collector should have a birthday watch and Seiko by its serial numbers makes the search a lot easier.
This Seiko Actus SS from December 1976 is my birthday watch, it is in a 'time capsule' condition in the good sense of the term, almost new old stock.
SS means Second Setting, it is the 3rd Seiko model with this famous 'stop seconds' setting.
Immaculate dial, case without scratches, I just swapped the original metal bracelet, not very pleasant and very 70s, for a wine red leather with the most beautiful effect.
I wear it rarely, it is a heritage watch that I will pass on and which I hope will see the next generations.

Seiko Actus SS 'Birthday Watch'

What can I say, this is not my first Citizen, I have eco drives as well as an auto diver, but this one, with its original and endearing side, goes straight into the top 3 of my collection. Beautiful, comfortable to wear, I can't take it off anymore, if I had to find only one flaw it would be not being able to change this integrated bracelet, my favorite activity :). Its color changes depending on the light and goes from a very light blue to a blue reminiscent of this famous New York jeweler.

I present to you my Citizen Ice Blue NJ0151-88M that I love, it's my only watch that is not a diver or a chronograph... the model that I present was for a long time only available on the Japanese market but now it is on sale in France, it is an automatic model of 40mm in diameter and 5 ATM... it has a superb color that varies in the light and a pretty integrated bracelet of 3 branches, in short a watch that I like and I find that the Japanese manufacturer Citizen is not recognized in France at its true value while in the USA this manufacturer of the rising sun is a hit... Citizen has iconic models like the Aqualand JP2000 (the big blue 1988) the promaster NY0040 and the Chalenge Diver Futjisubo titanium which has an incredible history hence the name (Bernacle in French) that I also have it is the rival of the SPB143 62 MAS from Seiko and this Tsuyosa Ice Blue (strength) in Japanese is a real hit…

A pebble in the pond, this citizen will have left its mark, I will not introduce it to you because we know it now, it is finally available so we should not deprive ourselves of it, it is magnificent in real life better than in the photo, to be consumed without moderation, it is well made and the words criticized the clasp, it is done I have kept it up 😉. Anything is possible.

Citizen Tsuyosa

Citizen is making a strong comeback this year in the watchmaking world, this tsuyosa also means STRENGTH in Japanese! This watch is available in several colors: blue, green, black and yellow for France. Other variations are planned for the future. Today I present to you the yellow model, a model that sold very well to the point that I had to put myself on a waiting list and after 4 months I was finally able to receive it! The watch is well built with a diameter of 40mm and a thickness of 11.7mm, the crown is at 4 o'clock, the glass is sapphire, very good for this price range. The movement comes from Myota, a house owned by Citizen, it is the caliber 8210, 21 jewels with a power reserve of 40 hours, it is given for +- 20 seconds per day. The movement echoes the dial, it is gilded with its Citizen Japan engraved balance wheel, it is visible, which is a plus for me but it also has a disadvantage for the waterproofness and as the crown is not screwed the watch is given for 5 atm too bad! the yellow dial is a mixture of matte and sunray because it appears matte at first glance but in strong light it becomes a little sunray. The stick-type indexes have a luminescent layer that shines only by its name! indeed it is very very light! The glass has a cyclops for a "magnifying glass effect" of the date, some will like it or not. the integrated "president" type bracelet brushed at the ends and polished in the center adds a chic side to this watch. Now let's talk about the price, for less than 300e Citizen offers you a refreshing watch with these different colors, pretty, summery, well finished and automatic with a sapphire crystal! Any flaws? yes of course: A water resistance of 5 ATM while the Tissot prx is at 10 ATM, a crown at 4 o'clock which is just a disaster for setting the time for someone with "man's" fingers and no nails! I also noticed for setting the date a problem with the caliber 8210, in fact no stop second and forced to make a whole revolution of the hands for the date because if I try to go back, the second hand does not like it at all and starts to go back what am I saying to jump 5 seconds back! I did not insist suddenly. The "lume" is also ridiculous compared to a diver! apart from these few small inconveniences it is a watch that I recommend and which will give a lot of pleasure to its owner.

Citizen Tsuyosa, a summer watch?

This citizen tsuyosa is just incredible 😍! At first I wanted to buy a Tissot PRX quartz because I liked its design. I went to a jewelry store and tried it on but I found it too big for my wrist. I waited and citizen released the tsuyosa shortly after. I went to try it on and I fell in love with it. Once I had the money I bought it on the ocarat website for around €260 I think. This watch is my first really beautiful automatic watch. It is also the one I wear the most and the one I enjoy wearing the most. It can be worn in all situations, whether with a shirt for a chic evening or with a t-shirt for sports. 

Its jubilee-style bracelets are very comfortable and very beautiful. The polishing and chamfers of the case are of very good quality. It has a sapphire crystal with a cyclops. It has the stop second and is equipped with a miyota 8210 movement that can be seen from the glass case back. It has a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. It is not very precise but you can always have it adjusted if it bothers you.

All in all, I am very happy with my purchase and I recommend this watch to any enthusiast or beginner. Due to its very good value for money, I think that this watch can suit both beginners in watchmaking and seasoned collectors. Do not hesitate to buy it, you will not be disappointed! ⌚⌚⌚


The best watch for less than 300€

This is my 33rd birthday watch, a rather biased gift. The watch is as pleasant to wear as it is to look at. The finishes are really very beautiful and what can I say about this yellow dial. The indexes, hands, dates, bracelet, everything is perfectly proportioned. The transparent back reveals the movement. The only downside is probably the clasp, a little tinny but effective.

Citizen Tsuyosa Jaune

I already have a Tsuyosa, which has a yellow dial. As a gold lover, I opted for this model which is reminiscent of the Daytona Jhon Mayer. 
This piece is magnificent, it is part of my collection and it sits proudly next to the Zenith, Rolex or Omega. 
This green sunray dial is just magnificent and I am in heaven when I wear it. 
The advantage with this model is that it is not widespread and therefore we never come across one which makes it an almost unique model.

Gold is best of Tsuyosa

The Tsuyosa, a watch already spotted when it came out but it was the ice blue version that made up my mind. Ordered from an AD (Parrenin Joaillier) in St Germain. The beauty arrived at the end of July, just in time to go on holiday with it. It is a very pleasant watch to wear and to look at thanks to its superb sunburst dial. Compared to my Tissot PRX it seems subjectively smaller to me because of its more rounded shape. The only real flaw concerns the water resistance limited to 5 ATM. So you have to have another watch for swimming.

Citizen T

When Citizen releases this watch they are not at their best, the Tsuyosa comes to revive a market. The Tsuyosa is a marvel accessible to many and totally in the current trend. 
Unobtainable at launch with waiting times of 1 year for certain colors. 
I decided to take the model with Yellow dial which is a nugget, with its automatic movement it is already an iconic piece. 
I can only recommend it to a first-time buyer. 
It has everything going for it

Flat: not great cyclops and average date readability. And transparent case back for a mechanism that is not particularly beautiful. I would have preferred an engraved case back.

Summer

I just received it and I am amazed by the quality-price ratio that I had been told was excellent.
I love the bracelet. The dial in a magnificent orange is very readable with large indexes and the dial is noticeably larger than on my PRX of the same size and it is very pleasant. The hidden crown is my 1z time and I love it, what comfort.
Very comfortable, I am absolutely amazed.

At the top

An ideal watch for summer or to bring some sun in the middle of winter. The yellow dial is bright no matter the lighting. The integrated bracelet fits well with the case. The finishes could be a bit better, but for mass-produced watches it's okay. The crown is not easy to operate and I would have liked a version without a date or at least without a cyclops.

Simple and effective in short citizen

My choice turned to this tsuyosa blue dial "tiffany", because I find that it is a good alternative to the prx of tissot. apart from the bracelet that prefers on the prx the rest of the watch does not have much to envy it. At the top for the summer in casual mode, but finally goes very well every day with any outfit.

Watch goes everywhere

We've seen it over and over again for a year, maybe a little too much. But I fell under its spell the first time I saw it in real life. It's impossible to take photos that fully honor its magnificent yellow dial. It's fun, light and comfortable. Its Miyota 8000 series movement is robust and precise. For less than €250, I don't see what better purchase I could have made to give myself a nice Christmas present. I love it!

Ma funky watch ! 

I had spotted this watch when it was released on the Japanese market and then I had abandoned the idea because of the potential customs duties. But as soon as it was released on the European market I did not hesitate given the price. You really get your money's worth. Here we have a watch that is a bit different from the traditional Seiko (just as recommendable however). The dial makes the whole watch for me. I may regret the slightly large diameter and suddenly the dial looks a bit empty but it remains one of the watches that I wear regularly.

The perfect watch to start with

Following the fairly recent discovery of this watch on a fellow Bordeaux YouTuber called dialicious 😉I was pleasantly surprised by this watch at an unbeatable quality/price ratio
Tiffany blue color in tune with the times with a beautiful sun, plus a date also well integrated
Bracelet of good quality also with a micro adjustment easy to access with a tool however
A downside is the power reserve not always homogeneous sometimes far from the 40 hours initially announced
