This watch has a mirror-polished steel case. The glass is sapphire, which is nice. The cream-colored dial offers a very elegant day/night indicator. The applied indexes, as well as the date, reveal a certain quality. The very special handles give the model its personality. Finally, the hands are beautiful and complete the dressy character of the timepiece. If the finesse of the bracelet can be surprising at first, I find that it is consistent with the general subtlety that emerges from the watch.

This watch has a mirror-polished steel dial. The blue dial offers a lot of information, while remaining elegant. Indeed, in addition to the time, this timepiece is equipped with a date, a sunburst day of the week indicator and a day/night window that gives its name to the watch, while taking up the aesthetic of the moon phases that can be found on more expensive models. This Orient Sun and Moon nevertheless remains graceful, despite the number of information displayed, thanks to the Roman numerals and the very thin white hands, which stand out perfectly against the blue. For some, the visible screws, as well as the cut Roman numerals, can be defects but this is not my case.

Oh the beautiful blue!

The case of this watch is made of brushed steel. On the other hand, the bezel is polished. I particularly appreciate this model for the beautiful harmony that reigns between the cream dial, the applied Roman numerals and the blued hands. Even the date with a white background and the absence of a logo on the crown do not manage to alter the irrepressible charm that emanates from this timepiece. Finally, this Orient is sublimated by a magnificent domed glass. The only two drawbacks to report are the solid back and especially the original bracelet which is, it must be said, of poor quality. Nevertheless, I find that this watch is one of the most endearing in my collection.

Child The

This watch has a mirror-polished steel case. This timepiece is characterized by its superb black sunray dial. The power reserve adds a touch of complexity. The date display is relatively original. The hands respond to the indexes. The oscillating weight of the movement, gold-colored, adds an additional touch of elegance. The crown is nicely logoed. This model, however, suffers from two negative points. First of all, it is necessary to point out the inevitable hesalite glass. However, it is above all the thickness of the case that will pose a problem for some, especially for a dress watch.

Espresso - Martini

The main asset of this watch is obviously to offer a complication usually reserved for exceptional timepieces: the wandering hour.
While there are other models offering this reading of the time, this one stands out in my opinion by its seconds hand which brings life to the dial.
It is also necessary to highlight the dodecagonal shape of the case, as well as the oscillating weight which occupies the entire case back with a helical cutout.
The leather strap is not very qualitative and those in silicone do not go at all with such a dressy watch in my opinion.
Nevertheless, this small downside should not make us forget the beautiful quality of this model and the exceptional complication it offers.

Vagabondage!

This watch marks the rebirth of the brand after a long period of inactivity, hence the name. This model is characterized by an octagonal-shaped case in polished steel on the sides and brushed on the top, as is the bezel. I particularly like the robustness that emanates from this timepiece, with a screw-down crown and a water resistance given to two hundred meters, while it is obviously a dress watch, as evidenced by the leather strap. In addition, it is worth noting the sapphire crystal as well as the sixty-hour power reserve, which is really appreciable at this price point. I like the Cartier-style crown insert less.

Nappey is dead! Long live Nappey!

This watch has a mirror-polished steel case. The main interest of this timepiece is its magnificent steel blue dial. In addition, I particularly like the typography of the Roman numerals which reinforces the dressy character of the model. The apparent power reserve of 50 hours is an undeniable asset of this very pretty watch. It is also worth noting the presence of the open heart which gives its name to this beautiful creation from Orient Star. For my part, the only notable downside is the insert on the Cartier-style crown.

Orient star open heart

This watch is made of a mirror-polished steel case. The deep black dial features a day/night indicator at 9 o'clock, as well as a date display, also on a black background, at 3 o'clock. It should be noted that if the number 3 is absent, a metal dot materializes its location. Zeppelin has the particularity of housing various types of movements. In this case, it is a Myota whose reputation for reliability is well established. I particularly appreciate the typography of the numbers, directly inspired by timepieces from a bygone era.

Black desire

Wanting to acquire a new red watch, I set my sights on this Orient Bambino, which has a date, a day of the week indicator and a day/night indicator. Already in love with my previous Bambino, which was simpler, I wanted to buy this new model which is better finished, as evidenced by the logoed crown, as well as the open back, which was not the case with my other timepiece. Its burgundy dial is particularly elegant and having so many complications for so little money is really great! The only downside is the original strap which was not worthy of the watch head and which therefore had to be changed.

A Bambino who has everything a grown-up has!

The main interest of this watch is the electric character of its dial and especially the very particular shape of its date window, which makes this model recognizable at first glance.
The original strap was of poor quality, it was necessary to change it. That said, nothing shocking in this price range. Moreover, I find that the ostrich strap, which the timepiece is now adorned with, does it justice perfectly.
We regret the absence of a logo on the crown but it does not bother me at all.

Electric blue

I bought this watch to have a model with a Californian dial (Roman numerals on top and Arabic numerals on the bottom). This timepiece has a second time zone thanks to its GMT complication. 
While the hours and minutes are particularly legible, this is less the case for the GMT hand. The crown is screwed and its grip is facilitated by the roughness with which it is covered. The sapphire crystal is also appreciable. 
We will regret the zebra engraved on the case back, even if it represents the safari. 
Finally, the original steel bracelet did not suit me, even if it was of good quality. Its change was also facilitated by the quick pumps with which it was equipped. 


Safari California 

This watch is particularly important to me because it is my first timepiece in this price range. Until now, I only owned models under 1000 euros.
This watch is particularly endearing thanks to its art-deco aspect, reinforced by its very elegant square case.
I also fell for the historical aspect of this model since it marks the 140th anniversary of the brand.
In addition, the transparent back that reveals the oscillating weight is also very pleasant.
The ostrich leather strap is well suited to the watch and accentuates its dressy character.
I don't see any flaw to report, except perhaps the low power reserve, which doesn't bother me at all personally.

Historical heritage

Bought to replace my CCCP, which disappointed me a lot, this Fiyta brings me complete satisfaction.
I already knew the brand, but having a Miyota and especially a sapphire crystal for less than 200 euros is still quite incredible these days. In addition, the bracelet, without being flawless, is of a more than adequate quality for the price. It is still a butterfly clasp and not a pressed metal clasp, which is the most common in this range.
However, I preferred to dress the watch with a leather strap by personal preference.
The only small flaw of this timepiece is its classicism, but it is also what makes it strong.

A little girl who has everything a big girl has

This watch is truly historic because it is the heir to a model that equipped British troops at the beginning of the 20th century, hence the name. I particularly appreciate the typography of the numbers, as well as the hands, slightly disproportionate to the relatively modest dial. Finally, the very thick glass in the shape of a beveled dome sublimates the tenderly old-fashioned character of the timepiece.

So wow!

For once, I present my Tissot pocket watch, or fob watch.
It is a so-called "savonnette" model, that is to say that the dial and the glass are protected by a metal cover, which allows a mineral glass.
I particularly like the historical Tissot logo, as well as the Roman numerals and the small seconds. All this really gives an old character to the watch

It's in the bag!

This watch has a brushed steel case topped by a mirror-polished bezel. The dial is divided into two distinct gray parts: in the center, a circle houses the literature and on the periphery, another gray disk, darker, houses the railroad and the indexes. The gray scale is further enriched by the steel of the case and by the leather strap, which is not original. I changed the latter because I don't really like steel, although it is of quality. The main interest of this model lies in its date pointer, which is reminiscent of that of an Oris Big Crown. The whole timepiece gives a real impression of robustness, like its movement, an SW 200. Personally, I like the back with the visible screws less, but it's a matter of taste.

Fifty Shades of Grey

This watch has a slightly domed mirror-polished steel case. The beige dial is very pleasant to look at. The applied indexes blend perfectly with the power reserve, the date and the day of the week. The domed glass completes the antique character of the timepiece. This model is particularly well finished, as evidenced by the work around the oscillating weight. The pierced horns facilitate a possible change of strap, without distorting the slightly outdated appearance of the timepiece. The absence of a logo on the crown, as well as the quality of the strap are the weak points of this model, which nevertheless remains very endearing.

Amazing Amazonas 

This watch is made of a mirror-polished steel case. The charm of this timepiece lies mainly in its particularly elegant domed glass. The very fine hands and indexes reinforce the dressy character of this model. We regret the absence of a logo on the crown. In addition, it is worth noting two negative aspects concerning this watch. On the one hand, the original bracelet was of poor quality, which is why it had to be changed. On the other hand, the movement makes a lot of noise, which is never very flattering.

Zone rouge 

This watch has a mirror-polished steel case. I particularly like the beige dial which gives an antique look to the timepiece. The typography of the Arabic numerals contributes to the beauty of this Zeppelin, as does the open heart. Finally, the sword hands and the small second sublimate this already magnificent dial. It is worth noting the background which reveals a decoration slightly inspired by the Geneva coasts. I do not see any real negative point to mention concerning this watch.

Belle Zeppelin !

This watch has a mirror-polished steel case. The dial is particularly attractive and gives the timepiece a resolutely dressed character with its Roman numerals, blued hands and of course its open heart. The domed glass enhances this already superb model. The crown has the merit of being logoed. For some, the diameter of the case will be an obstacle, especially for a dress watch, but not for me. The only small downside is the mineral glass, but honestly, in this price range there is nothing scandalous.

Envoy

This watch has a cushion-shaped mirror-polished steel case. Briston has the great merit of bringing cases of this shape up to date. I appreciate the refined character of the dial and its Bordeaux red color. The pointed hands are very well matched with the indexes. The crown, for its part, is stamped with the brand logo. The original NATO strap detracted from the dressy character of the model, which is why I replaced it with a more elegant leather one. Finally, the white background of the date is a real negative point.

She's in the red!

This watch has a cushion-shaped mirror-polished steel case. While the case is relatively large, the bezel and dial make the timepiece appear smaller than it actually is. The gray dial is the model's strong point. Not liking steel bracelets, I equipped my watch with a Bond-style NATO strap, which suits it particularly well. I am less fond of the logo-free crown and the solid caseback. Nevertheless, this timepiece remains particularly competitive.

Platform mechanical automatic 

This watch has a polished steel case - mirror. The dial, a deep blue, offers applied indexes, no numbers, a day/night indicator, as well as a date which has the great merit of having a tone-on-tone background with the dial. The indexes, associated with the sharp hands, give a real impression of dynamism. The original strap, brown in color, gave the model an impersonal appearance. In addition, it attenuated the depth of the blue, which explains its replacement. Finally, it should be noted the overly common character of the case which diminishes the personality of the timepiece.

Ocean blue

This watch has a mirror-polished steel case. The black dial has a grainy texture that gives it an interesting relief. The timepiece also has a date window with a black background, which is not always the case, even on more expensive models. I particularly appreciate the resemblance to a Blancpain Fifty Fathoms, even if we can fortunately not call it a tribute watch. The only real flaw of this watch is the plastic insert on the bezel. However, I have owned this Spinnaker for almost three years and for the moment I am very happy with it.

Fleuss

This watch has a mirror-polished steel case, except for the handles which are brushed. The black dial is extremely full, perhaps too much, since it offers, in addition to the time, the date, the day of the week and a day/night indicator. The caseback is full. The crown is, itself, logoed. In an original way, the only readable numbers are the 4, the 8 and the 12. Although having a dial that is a little too busy, the main defects of this watch are the original bracelet and especially the movement. Indeed, the latter is devoid of stop-seconds and manual winding, which is really regrettable.

Producer II

This watch has a fully brushed steel case. The timepiece is similar to the models used by aviators in the Second World War, whether on the Axis or Allied side. Moreover, the history of Laco, like that of other brands (Stowa, Breitling in particular) is very marked by this period, which explains not only the appeal of this model, but also its very existence. Very logically, the double-scale dial, as well as the large "sword" type hands, offer very good readability of the time. In addition, the blue allows for very interesting plays of light. The crown, of substantial size, is also a legacy of aviation watches of the past. I find it a shame that Laco does not provide a more qualitative bracelet, but the timepiece remains very pleasant to the eye.

Pilot Aachen 42 mm

This watch is made of a brushed steel case, on its large central part, and mirror polished at the bottom and top. The choice is relatively limited in terms of new skeletonized models at affordable prices and quality. What I particularly like about this timepiece is that although it is skeletonized, it is made up of a dial mixing numbers and indexes. This dial allows reading the time as easy as on a more classic watch, which is rarely the case with this type of model. The blued hands bring an additional touch of elegance. I would have appreciated a more refined Swiss movement, but for the price range it would have been difficult.

Skeletonized version

This watch has a sandblasted steel case that gives an aged look that is particularly pleasing to the eye. The applied indexes offer a play of light that is hard to detach from. The timepiece not only has the date, but also the day. The latter has the advantage of being in French. The dial offers two scales for the hours (a classic one from 1 to 12 and the other from 13 to 24). It is also necessary to highlight the beautiful quality of the leather strap. The hardlex glass is a little disappointing for a watch of this type, but it remains more resistant than a standard mineral glass.

All the charm of Seiko

This watch has a mirror-polished steel case with a cream-colored dial. The hour hand with its circle is quite original. The applied indexes and numbers reinforce the old look of the model. Finally, it is necessary to emphasize the name of the model, perfectly in line with that of the brand. The crown, relatively imposing, is logoed. I regret the mineral glass and the bracelet which does not seem very qualitative.

Hindenburg 

This watch has a brushed steel case with a mirror-polished bezel. The dial is black with a "clou de Paris" finish. The hands are leaf-shaped. I particularly like the applied indexes and the transparent caseback that gives a glimpse of the ETA movement. The mention "Le Locle", which gives its name to the model, is extremely rich in meaning and evocative for any watch enthusiast. The new version with the 80-hour power reserve movement is of course more efficient, but the charm of the old one is irreplaceable.

The brand Ollech &amp; Wajs was created in 1956 by Joseph Ollech and Albert Wajs in Zurich, Switzerland. This watch has a mirror-polished case and a screw-down crown. The main asset of this timepiece is to offer an original reading of the time with its single hand. The glass is made of sapphire. The original bracelet with its slightly sporty side and its orange stitching gives an additional appeal to the watch. The white flange offers an interesting contrast with the black dial. Obviously the version with a Swiss movement is more prestigious but that does not detract from the attraction that this timepiece exerts.
