This Seiko Astron SSH071J1 is a limited edition of 2000 pieces. It features a green ceramic bezel, a "Super Clear" sapphire crystal as well as a high-intensity titanium case and bracelet. The two elements that I find amazing on this watch are its Super Clear glass whose transparency is mind-blowing and its 5X53 (Quartz) movement which is extremely precise. Indeed, the particularity of this caliber is that the watch automatically connects to the satellites in order to synchronize the date, hour, minutes and especially the seconds on the satellite's atomic clock. As a result, it is compatible with all time zones existing to date. It will always be on time, no matter where you are on the globe. It should also be noted that it has a battery that recharges with light (natural or artificial). Its all-titanium design allows this watch to have a very low weight, it feels like wearing plastic. I recommend it to anyone looking for an elegant, lightweight watch with a good setting and battery life.

Having been passionate about Japan since I was young, I mainly own watches from this country. As my first Grand Seiko piece, I wanted to acquire a diving model and I wanted to start this research/acquisition in the summer of 2022. It was a good fit with the calendar, the SLGA015 model was released in early August 2022. This is the first watch that I have pre-ordered in my entire life, which shows how important it is to me. I think I am the first in France to have it, the Place Vendôme boutique having kindly notified me on the day of receipt of this model. Several aspects seduced me in this Evolution 9 Diver 2022. First of all, its sporty/diver look. Its black ceramic bezel is magnificent, its all-titanium case and bracelet make it very comfortable to wear on a daily basis. The other point that really attracted me to it is its Spring Drive 9RA5 movement. Offering a comfortable 5-day power reserve, it is also extremely precise. From my observations, it loses less than a second per month, no more! It’s crazy. Its easily adjustable buckle (diving watch) is also very practical. Finally, the lumibrite is of very good quality. The experience at the Place Vendôme boutique is fabulous.

Grand Seiko SLGA015

I wanted a somewhat "sport chic" watch and I hesitated for a long time for this SLGH017. My heart was torn between this one and the White Birch 2021 and 2022. Finally, when I tried all three at the Place Vendôme boutique, it was the Night Birch that won my favor, hands down! Its dark dial is as detailed as the White Birch 2021 and is impressive, a treat to admire. Its hi beat 36000 movement is excellent and the fact that it is full Titanium also played a big part. I highly recommend the pieces from the Evolution 9 range. In addition, the experience in the Place Vendôme boutique is exceptional.

I was first struck by the exceptional dial of this watch, with such lively and contrasting colors, then by the always exemplary finishes as only Grand Seiko knows how to do them.
