The Glashütte region, located in Germany, has a long and rich watchmaking history. After the end of World War II, all the watchmaking companies in the Glashütte region were merged into a single plant called VEB Glashütter Uhrenbetriebe (GUB). This was an important period in the history of Glashütte watches, as many fascinating and durable models were created with the Glashütte logo on the dial. One of the most legendary watches to come out at the time was the iconic Spezimatic. Today I will present a rare, special version of the "decoration" for officers and distinguished members of the National People's Army (armed forces of the German Democratic Republic). Released for the 20th anniversary of the organization in 76. The watch was not offered for sale to civilians. Only about 5,000 pieces. "MIG 21" (Air Force), "T 54" or "T 55" tank (Land Forces) and a missile boat.Characteristic Thick gold-plated case and dial.Caliber GUB Spezimatic 75/: 26 jewels, rotor automatic, 18,000 halfrotations per hour.
