Having owned this 42mm Hamilton Murph Auto for a year, I never tire of its refined aesthetics. The dial offers exemplary readability accompanied by a pleasant symmetry without a date. Equipped with a good power reserve (80 hours), my model has a precision close to that of the COSC. The most attentive among us will be able to observe a Morse code message (Eureka) visible in relief on the seconds hand, a reference to the film Interstellar from which this watch takes its name (Murph). A few black spots on the board of this 42mm model, however: its 54mm horn to horn, the lack of anti-reflective coating on the dial and a non-screwed crown despite a supposed water resistance of 10 ATM. The first two points have been corrected with the 38mm model released in 2022. In short, this Murph shines with its versatility by offering us a beautifully crafted dress watch with military inspirations. Most wrists will, I think, find what they are looking for with the new 38mm model, which I think is more accomplished.
