My passion for "pilot" type watches inevitably led me to the very legitimate German brand Hanhart.
Its historical side directly inspired by the brand's models in the 30s-40s, this bi-compax dial with its slightly hollowed sub-counters, this striated bezel, this red reset button, this "TwinControl" was immediately a favorite!
Of course, it has been updated and necessarily moves away a little from the original: 42 mm diameter, an automatic movement, a date window and an anti-reflective treatment that allows you to admire this magnificent dial and its different angles and whose overall finish is truly flawless, even under a magnifying glass!
It has been with me for several years now and it is always the same pleasure to put it back on my wrist!

And this SLA023 really does!...
A descendant of the great line of Seiko divers, this blue version of Marinemaster immediately caught my eye when it came out!
Despite its tank-like appearance on the wrist, this diver is extremely comfortable to wear whether on its steel bracelet or even more so on this "Waffle".
You really have to try it to realize it!
I put that down to this monobloc case whose shape perfectly fits the wrist.
This blue version with its discreet golden touches constantly plays with light and reflections!
The finish is superb and the 8L35 movement is of excellent regularity and precision.
One of the watches that I wear the most and with as much pleasure as ever!


A historic diver!

When we talk about Breitling, we are most often talking about the Navitimer.
For several years, I had been in love with the look of the Colt and Avenger models.
This massive case, this dial, this engraved bezel and its typical riders (Breitling invention to prevent the watch glass from hitting the plane canopy) .... We can identify it for sure!

The brand Hanhart was created in 1882 by Johann A. Hanhart in Diessenhofen, Switzerland. Specializing in chronographs, then stopwatches, the brand still designs and manufactures its watches today in its workshops in G&uuml;tenbach, in the south of Germany. The brand is known for having supplied pilots' watches for the German army, but also for having been worn by Steve McQueen.
The particularity of the brand's models is that they have a red pusher. Legend has it that an officer in combat found his watch with a tint of red on the pusher. Looking closer, he realized, amused, that it was a touch of nail polish that his fianc&eacute;e had painted so he wouldn't forget.
In 1924, Hanhart launched its first chronometer, and soon after the product line expanded to include pocket watches and wristwatches. From 1932, following the death of his father, Wilhelm Julius Hanhart focused on making his own blanks. In 1938, the first single-button chronograph with the "Caliber 40" entered mass production, followed by pilot's chronographs in 1939. After the war, the brand manufactured the "Admiral" chronograph, intended especially for doctors and officers.
In the 1990s, the brand was taken over by Klaus Eble, son-in-law of Willy Hanhart. In 1997, it was success. A faithful replica, down to detail, incorporating all the characteristics of the case and dial of Hanhart's legendary aviator's chronograph, is produced in a limited edition of 2,500 copies. The range includes models such as the<a href="https://www.dialicious.com/en/hanhart/417_es"> Hanhart 417 ES</a>, the Hanhart Primus, the Hanhart Pioneer MonoScope, the Hanhart Racemaster GTM and the Hanhart S-Series.
