An American Lecoultre in Paris
This watch is exceptionally elegant thanks to its patinated white dial, delicate thanks to its triangular indexes and dauphine hands, and efficient thanks to its power reserve indicator in the subdial at 9 o'clock. Madame has long, curved lugs that wrap around the wrist. Its absence of a crown enhances its presence, and it remains very easy to adjust. This marquise spent 12 months in the Swiss workshops for a complete overhaul, which included decoration of the movement. The case is 10k gold-filled, an alloy quite common on the American market in the 1950s and 1960s. I'm still looking for the perfect strap...
