The must-have Macro Loupe for all watch lovers

A little gem discovered by chance during a family stroll through the streets of Saint-Jean-de-Luz. Among Italian, French, and Swiss divers, this JLC Master-Quartz, displayed at a more than reasonable price, immediately caught my eye. As the true geek and enthusiast that I am, I used the next day as an excuse to fill up with gas and inflate my tires with my wife to discreetly orchestrate a detour to St Jean-de Luz and confirm my purchase of this pretty piece!

70's

A little gem from the 70s, this quartz Jaeger is very charming with its linen dial on a silver-colored background that contrasts with its polished baton indexes and the applied JLC logo. A diameter that fits perfectly on my 17.5cm wrist. In a condition close to New from Stock, it is a real pleasure to wear this beauty that has a crazy charm ☺️

Surprising

A Cartier Santos, or how to marry elegance with sport-chic.
A priori, never a fan of gold watches, and even less of two-tone watches, this Cartier Santos from 1991, reference 2961, once put on the wrist was like an obvious choice for me.
Of contained size, it knows how to get noticed thanks to its bezel and the studs of its gold bracelet. It is truly magnificent. What's more, a watch that is not found on all wrists.

Flat: not great cyclops and average date readability. And transparent case back for a mechanism that is not particularly beautiful. I would have preferred an engraved case back.

Timeless, iconic, robust, reliable, simple and efficient.
Tritium index with a crazy patina, slightly blued bezel, this 14060 always makes me crack. If there were to be 2 left, it would be part of the lot (with my Zenith El Primero Revival A384).
Model from 1991, it combines both the advantages of vintage with its tritium indexes and its aluminum bezel, and the advantages of modern (robustness of the movement, precision and water resistance)


For once, Iconic

Limited edition for Air Force divers, say the splashes. Robust watch, with beautiful finishes, spade second hand, the inscription 'Air Force' worn in red on the dial, steel bezel, well-made steel bracelet, all this gives it an air of adventurer that I love. My daily for several months now.

Zenith A384, chronomaster revival El Primero. Faithful replica of its big sister, the very first ZENITH watch in steel, equipped with the El Primero chronograph caliber from 1969. I fell head over heels for this model to the point of buying two! What a thrill this watch is, which for many takes up the codes of the Patek Philippe Nautilus while the two I have date from 1972… including one from March 1972, before Basel World of the same year which will see the presentation of the Royal Oak! And yes, this Jaeger-Lecoultre Master-Quartz is equipped with the Girard Perregaux GP352 caliber, one of the two Quartz calibers developed by the Swiss watch industry with that from the BETA21 consortium. Note that Girard Perregaux was at the time one of the most innovative Swiss brands. This watch is therefore equipped with a battery and a Motorola chip allowing the watch to be dated with a number showing the date of the week and the year! This JLC therefore predates Gerald Genta's two blockbusters. Its design has everything to please me, TV box, integrated bracelet from Chatelain, absolutely fantastic striped blue dial! What is it missing? Reliability, quite simply! An electronic circuit that is over 50 years old was not designed to have such a long lifespan... So it is a capricious watch far from being able to be used as a Daily! No problemo if we have understood this paradigm.
