Laventure Transatlantique GMT Owner Review : Bluffing, versatile and accomplished

Desiring a GMT complication watch to diversify my collection, I was originally eyeing vintage because the diameter was smaller for my thin wrist but too fragile to take it underwater or on a trip. I turned to the independent Swiss brand LAventure de Clément and I admit that I was seduced by the overall concept proposed: real toolwatches with a strong vintage spirit and therefore (on this model in any case) a reasonable diameter (38.9mm). The rather dark green like the one proposed is my favorite color and it was one more argument to crack and legitimize this purchase. Inside it is a Selitta caliber which seems to do the job very well, and which will be easily repairable if necessary by a local watchmaker in the event of a problem. The water resistance is more than good (200 meters), the rubber strap offered is comfortable and the case quite incredible and original. What I especially appreciate about this model is that it really has its own personality, being apart in my collection. I read some reviews on specialized sites at the time of the announcement that the price was high (around €4600 in my case with the conversion, excluding taxes), perhaps but you have to keep in mind that all the components are of Swiss origin and that we have here only one person (in this case this Dear Clément) who takes care of everything so the margin is in my opinion accordingly and from my point of view it is normal. The months of waiting at the time of purchase could have made me tick but in the end I decided to take the gamble and I do not regret it at all because strangely I took advantage of this time to imagine how I would wear the watch and how to accessorize it best, and it even reminded me of the time when I waited for my Rolex. I add that Clément is hyper responsive to the slightest question that we could have during the process (this was my case). Being a fan of neo-vintage and vintage in general, I couldn't pass up a piece from this superb brand. I'm happy to be part of THE Adventure and to take it there!
