Gold and 70’s

This Omega Genève "Türler" reference 166.099 gold plated, represents the first vintage watch in the collection. It features the caliber 1481 present at Omega and Tissot in the 70s, whose particularity is the rapid date change by pressing the crown, and allowing a very appreciable finesse to the watch. How did a young man in his twenties fall for a second-hand watch from the last century, you might say? Surely by becoming tired of always seeing the same watches on the wrists or on the networks. Paradoxically, it is the timeless seventies look that inspires today's new releases that made it easier for me to take the plunge into vintage. Its entirely golden appearance, especially its sunny gold dial, may seem flashy. However, the contained diameter of the 34mm case makes it just a simply solar watch. The inscription "Türler" on the dial reinforces the unique side of the piece.
