As soon as I heard about this project, I thought the idea was awesome! So, there was no way I wasn’t going to buy one! But impossible… the first day in the store between rue de Sèvres and rue du cherche midi, there was no point in even trying… I had given up on the idea of having one, until I found it in Montreal! Only 3 models available. Pink, red and this magnificent blue that is ideal for summer! I love it! And you know what? It made me buy an Omega afterwards… they succeeded, with me at least!

Moonswatch - Tiffany dial ?

Portofino Chronograph with a white/cream dial that I find absolutely superb. Many details brighten it up and highlight it in a very beautiful way: small seconds at 9 o'clock, sub-dials at noon and six o'clock circled in yellow gold and featuring red indexes at noon for each of them bringing a welcome touch of color. Day and date at 3 o'clock. I really find it magnificent despite a fairly imposing format of 42mm and a fairly significant thickness as well. I love the yellow gold hands and indexes.

Nice big watch!

I had long been obsessed with this Omega Railmaster that I found simple, efficient, magnificent with vintage codes. But I had never really had the opportunity to find one nor had I really looked for it. It was finally after buying the Swatch Moonswatch that the idea once again trotted through my head to buy a more modern Omega since I already had 2 vintages. And by chance, what did I come across while walking? This magnificent Railmaster that had caught my attention several years earlier. This time, I didn't miss the boat!

A watch that I didn't know and wouldn't have thought of buying. And one day, passing in front of the Hermès window at Galeries Lafayette: an unexplained crush on this watch that I had never seen! Very beautiful. Very reliable. Very fine. All the little Hermès details are great. With a very fine and pleasant bracelet even if it wears out a little quickly. I changed it several times and finally put it back on. I still love it just as much even if I wear it less. A watch that will always be of my heart: given to me by my future wife!

A “porthole” case that you will love.

This Rolex Oyster Perpetual 36 was a real favorite with a blue sunray dial when I first tried it on. Unfortunately, I was very naive at the time and when I said in the store "I'll buy it!", I was disappointed. Well, I was finally called back two years later. What a joy! I find it magnificent, extremely simple. A magnificent dial. And I like the discreet bracelet, totally brushed compared to the DJs. You can use it all the time for everything!

Rolex OP 36 - blue dial

While I was looking for a Rolex OP 36 with a blue dial, unfortunately unobtainable… and unavailable… and I had almost lost all hope of having one, I happened to come across this very beautiful second-hand Rolex Air King in Saint Malo. Without further ado, I jumped at the chance. A magnificent blue dial, little literature, a balance and simplicity of formidable efficiency. I love it. Very light watch. Obviously given its size of 34mm.

A very easy to wear watch, discreet but captivating when you pay attention to it. The mirror polished hands react well to light and contrast nicely with the matte black dial, all of this highlighted by a domed sapphire. The proportions of the watch are ideal, 39mm in diameter for less than 12mm thick.

A watch full of charm

For my 25th birthday, I bought myself the Cartier Tank Must. For the next one, I decided to dare to buy myself the Omega Railmaster Trilogy. A real vintage tool watch in 38mm brought up to date with today's standards, notably thanks to its Master Chronometer movement. Its ultra-readable and refined tropical dial is just a treat. The retro Omega logo affixed to the dial as well as on the clasp make the whole thing magnificently anachronistic. If you want to own an underrated watch with a big personality, in a contained diameter and with a refined design, this is the watch for you. Originally launched in 1957 with the Speedmaster and the Seamaster 300, the Railmaster has always been wrongly the ugly duckling of the famous legendary trio when in fact it has everything, and with the added bonus of a universe linked to people working on the railways and near magnetic fields which makes it in my eyes more irresistible than its competitor of the time the Rolex Milgauss.
