I wanted a watch to mark my engagement, a beautiful ring for the lady and therefore a watch for the gentleman. I was eyeing a Seamaster AT that was very rational in my eyes. I dared to ask to try a Speedmaster "to see" and quite simply a big smile, an emotion of pride, of naivety to be part of the heritage of this watch when putting it on my wrist. 10 months later it is mine and I can put it on my wrist every day!

What I like about this watch is the routine that goes with it:
- take it out of its box every morning just before leaving for work
- wind it up
- contemplate it during the work commute
- take it off and feel the warmth of the steel after a day on the wrist
- put it back on its cushion and its box to see it again the next day

It is a watch that you can feel on your wrist, its weight is perfect, the 42 diameter is contained. The bracelet is very comfortable and has a beautiful effect.

On the other hand, it is a watch that I feel is technical and fragile and that I consider as a jewel. It is a perfect pair for weekends and holidays with a diving watch to be without constraints.

Speedmaster 

I was lucky enough to participate in W&W 2024 on Friday. Despite all the new products present, I had 2 watches in mind and a stand to see in particular: Tudor and the new BB58 GMT and BB41 monochrome with 5-link bracelet... I had confirmed the favorite I had in a photo

Heading to the Tudor (Bucherer) pop-up store in Geneva to try to find the beauty.. 2 were available and I liked to try.. think.. find all the flaws and arguments against. This time a feeling of madness: buying it on a whim/whim at the risk of having to wait months and months once decided in France.

It's a bit early to have perspective after a few days but what I like:
- Very comfortable bracelet
- Top fine adjustment
- Perfect proportions
- Monochrome black (more timeless, less vintage)

On the wrist this BB gives me a very qualitative impression, which could be at the level of the Rolex but at a more contained price to be able to wear it in all circumstances, and that's the goal.

I think I'll give it a tropical bracelet for the sunny days.

The Speedmaster needs no introduction. I wear this watch every day and for all events. Casual or strict, its style always looks good. Its 42 mm size is a good size for a small man's wrist. Obviously, the sapphire crystal prevents scratches and the opening at the back allows you to enjoy the Caliber 1863.
I highly recommend it because beyond being a timeless piece, this watch is not associated with "show off" and can be worn in any weather...

Universe Watch

This version 35705000 driven by the Omega 1861 caliber is the second watch in my collection acquired in 2011 just after my sub.

After all these years, still the same intense pleasure to wind it up to wake it up.

Nothing more to say about this icon presented so many times.

A must have that will remain in my collection for life.



Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch

After having thought carefully about acquiring a speedmaster in my collection, I decided to buy it new (2023) and in sapphire in order to admire the movement. 
I think that for all collectors, a speedmaster is essential. Concerning all Omega models, I bought it for its history, its chronograph, its refinement. 

Recently, I changed its bracelet for an Ostrich bracelet (gold) and I rediscover it. There is no denying that the leather bracelets suit it perfectly and allow you to change your style. 


Speedmaster 3861

Everything has already been said about the speedmaster. So I would talk about the feeling when the first time you wear one on your wrist, and especially the first time it is ours and we start our story with it. The search for the right strap (the best is Joseph Bonnies' NASA), checking our car speedometer on the highway and the fact of perpetuating the story by spreading it around you. I started with something new wanting to try to keep this watch until the end of my life and for it to be part of my story.

One small step, one giant leap in the heart

When I first went to my now regular AD, it was to see this speed (and then several others later...).
It caught my eye, and I only hesitated for 24 hours to come back and buy it...
Its dial, announced as 42mm, is not that big of a 42, due to its asymmetry, in fact, for those who, like me, have a child's wrist, this watch is more like a 39.
Its reputation is well established, it doesn't have much left to prove, but I especially appreciated its bracelet, its simple dial and its perfect lines.
For my part, I opted for the sapphire crystal, the case back allows us to see the caliber 3861 nestled inside.
For any good collector, it is a must!

The Collector's Watch

This speedmaster is a dream come true 7 years ago. This chronograph is elegant and sporty at the same time. My omega is equipped with a hesalite glass and the manual mechanical caliber omega 1861. The power reserve is 46 to 48 hours and an accuracy of +3 seconds per day. My pleasure lies in winding the watch. I love to contemplate the dial, the design of the case and the dome of the hesalite glass. The history of the speedmaster and its selection by NASA shows how robust this watch is. It will be passed on to my son.

STRATOSPHERIC!

Long before I really got interested in watchmaking and bought my Omega Speedmaster, I owned a Guess (yes, yes) for a long time, with a design very inspired by the prestigious astronaut watch. During a birthday, I was asked if the watch I was wearing was an Omega Speedmaster, the name didn't mean much to me at the time but I then became interested and discovered this iconic model as well as its history. This Omega Speedmaster (old reference, replaced in 2021) is my first luxury watch and because of the little anecdote told above, it occupies a very special place in my collection and my watchmaking journey.

Omega Speedmaster Professional - le graal !

The one? Yes, if there were only one, it would be the Speedmaster. An incredible story, a magnificent watch. Being passionate about space, space travel, it is a holy grail for me to have this watch in my collection. I chose a model from 1992, my year of birth, hoping that it will follow me for a very long time...

The one

This is my daily watch, the one I like to wear. However, it is not the latest acquisition in my collection. It is a 2020 model, double sapphire, steel bracelet. Since then I have bought NATO and an alligator from Omega. It is a timeless watch, connoisseurs notice it. I am even thinking of buying the new model and I hope one from my birth year. This watch goes with all outfits.
