In 1982, Porsche won its 7th victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, with the Porsche 956 driven by Jacky Ickx and Derek Bell (his 6th and last victory) in the colors of the Rothmans cigarette manufacturer. To commemorate this victory, Porsche Design created this special edition (1956 ex) with a strap in the colors of the car. Fan of the brand and this race, fan of cushion cases (see my opinion on my Panerai Luminor Marina), I really liked this watch and I bought it immediately. It is just a simple Quartz watch (Ronda 515 movement), no chrono, just the date at 6 o'clock, I find it very pleasant to wear and very pretty with its brushed metal silver counter background with Racing logo at 9 o'clock, its bright colors and its hand that reminds me of the red zone... It is light, a little bulky (42mm) but quite thin (10.5 mm). The strap is a mix of leather and fabric, a little stiff. The back of the watch has the Porsche logo and the edition number (mine is 1610/1956), and on the crown, you can see the Porsche crest. A nice watch to wear on a summer evening with bright colors reminiscent of the colors of the Porsche Rothmans team.
