Rolex a brand that leaves no one indifferent, me first. At first I hesitated for a long time with a model in 41 due to the prism of this "man's size" size that I ultimately find not at all adapted to my wrist. The 36 historical size, proportion that I find ideal. Concerning the choice, it was a real favorite on this green dial, which I never stop discovering at each outing depending on the inclination, depending on the light a real treat. This watch has an important sentimental value for me, it marks several positive events for this year 2024. In short for me this watch has a lot of qualities and very few defects for the moment I can't see any I will make an edit in case that happens!

Rolex Oyster Perpetual 36 Vert 

This is the watch that gave me the bug of the passion of watchmaking, at the same time how not to be a fan starting in "luxury watchmaking" with this 58? For me it adapts to all situations as much at the sea as in the mountains. The combo blue bezel blue dial when you live in the south like me with more than 300 days of sun per year is simply perfect. The only small downside for me concerns the bracelet, it would clearly deserve a small update (T-Fit). Overall I can only recommend this watch which should be in every enthusiast's collection.

Rolex OP 36mm, purchased in 2019. This is the Rolex I've always dreamed of. When I was little, I dreamed of having an Air King (Vintage) which corresponds to the OP of today... I never get tired of it, I literally wear it on every occasion. Its proportions are perfect, it is robust, reliable, beautiful, I have also mistreated it quite a bit (but Rolex's after-sales service has always been there :) ). In addition, I lost it and found it again by chance (quite a story...). So I am eternally attached to it.

Rolex OP, the base & the class

I have always had in the back of my mind the desire to own a Rolex Oyster Perpetual because it perfectly represents the spirit of the brand: a simple watch, very beautiful aesthetically but no less robust, water-resistant to 100 meters and with a good power reserve with the new OP (~70 hours). I hesitated between the green dial and the blue, the Rolex boutique called me back after a few months to inform me that they had received an OP 36 with a blue dial and I do not regret this choice at all. It goes perfectly with my outfits, such as a suit during the week, or more casual when I am on the weekend. The sunray dial that turns bright blue in the light or tends towards black when it is less lit is perfectly mastered, all while remaining not ostentatious. Indeed, the absence of a date window or other complication makes the watch relatively unrecognizable but very readable and very symmetrical. There is only the essential: hour, minute, second. Its 36 millimeter diameter makes it unisex and ideal for a man or a woman and I am very sensitive to this androgynous side whether it is a watch or a bag, which will also make the piece even more easily transferable if the time comes one day. The idea also that the Oyster Perpetual range has been part of Rolex DNA since almost its origins pleases me a lot for its historical side. In my eyes it is undoubtedly the most accomplished Rolex watch without necessarily being the most complicated or the most expensive.

The most accomplished watch

This Rolex Oyster Perpetual 36 was a real favorite with a blue sunray dial when I first tried it on. Unfortunately, I was very naive at the time and when I said in the store "I'll buy it!", I was disappointed. Well, I was finally called back two years later. What a joy! I find it magnificent, extremely simple. A magnificent dial. And I like the discreet bracelet, totally brushed compared to the DJs. You can use it all the time for everything!

Rolex OP 36 - blue dial

A classic, timeless, a little snub to all these huge watches.
It's very small but it's cute.
It keeps a nice presence on the wrist.
It's well made, precise without fuss.
I like this watch. This one will stay in the family.
I had the chance last Friday to enter a store that I didn't know and to come out an hour later with the beauty on my arm. That necessarily adds a little magic and attachment to the story.

A beautiful story.

A watch that is pleasant to wear thanks to its contained diameter and its low thickness, which is what I was looking for. It easily fits under a sleeve and is discreet. An entry-level model from Rolex, it has excellent finishes: brushed bracelet, Easylink extension, 70-hour reserve, chromalight display and above all the sunray dial which is never the same. I had set out on an Explorer but during the test I preferred this one.

An exotic timepiece

A historic piece from Rolex, this pink OP Candy mixes the DNA of a classic piece combined with a touch of freshness with its pink dial. It is an ideal watch both in summer where it will blend into the summer atmosphere as well as in winter where it will bring a touch of cheerfulness. With its 70-hour power reserve, its 100 meters of water resistance as well as its go-anywhere side, it has everything to be a dailywatch however, I would advise before buying this one to have more sober dials.

My first Rolex, and not the last… I’ll let you imagine the dream that came true when I was barely 18 years old and I was given this piece that is so symbolic to me.
A real favorite, and it is still today the most important piece in my collection. The domed bezel, the fully brushed Oyster bracelet, the clasp with the engraved crown, the dial that sometimes seems lacquered, sometimes sunburst… so many details that make this watch perfect as a daily. The bright black dial gives it great versatility and discretion. The 36mm is definitely the best size for this type of case, the best proportioned. This watch has accompanied me everywhere, carried me in my goals and my studies in watchmaking, motivated me to surpass myself. That’s the Rolex myth.

Oyster Perpetual bright black dial: excellent daily

In the absence of the availability of a Tiffany OP, my choice fell without regret on this Candy, model 126000. First there is the choice of diameter: 36 mm is for me the perfect size for this dial so simple but so effectively elegant. Then there is this pink which can vary according to the light going from flashy, almost ostentatious, to pearly pastel pink reflections. As for the movement, the caliber 3230 is incredibly precise with a large power reserve. Finally, no matter the color, here is an "affordable" Rolex, more available than a professional, goes everywhere, sober and discreet. The marriage of the case with the bracelet is perfect.
