I have a Subdate 16600 that I really like but nevertheless I was tempted to acquire a more recent model with the caliber 3235. After 5 months I had a Seadweller 126600. My 18.5cm wrist supports it without problem and the significant weight does not bother at all. The new "Glidelock" bracelet allows ultra-precise adjustment. The bracelet is less sensitive to micro scratches than that of the Datejust or YachtMaster. Since the time reset due to the time change the drift is only -0.7 sec or an average of -0.0 sec / day!

Halfway between the Deepsea (44mm) and the Submariner (41mm), this Sea Dweller 126600 is simply awesome. Its size and details make it quite unique. So close to the best-selling Submariner and yet so different... I am witness to this since I got rid of my No Date 114060 to get it. No regrets, I wear it every day and even for sports. The detail that probably makes the difference is the bright red Sea Dweller in the middle of the matte black background.

The right compromise

Having only had divers, Omega 300, Iwc aqutimer, and now a Seadweller bought new since 2022 at ad. I'm crazy about my watch, I wear it every day, I find it much more original than a Sub. Its only small flaw, I find the unidirectional bezel not hard enough. I added a photo with its weight because I have never managed to get this information. It also gives the impression of getting value for your money!

The perfect watch

I initially wanted a Sub Mariner Date, the latest iteration of the house, then when I went to try this Sea Dweller I immediately fell under the spell of this magnificent diver. A very beautiful presence on the wrist, the red line, model initially released in 1999 for the 50th anniversary of the legendary Sea Dweller. 
I am not a diver, the only time my watch will see water is during a dishwashing session, no more, no less. It's a shame but who knows, one day it will really see the ocean. In the meantime, as soon as I iron it, it's a real pleasure. I recommend trying this watch, less common than its little sister and certainly less copied. 


4000ft~1220m Rolex Sea Dweller

I finally managed to buy this Rolex Sea-Dweller from my Rolex AD in Manchester a few months ago... after almost 2 years of waiting list. I was like a child when I got the call... I honestly couldn't believe it! I had tried it many times and I always liked its beastly and brutal side for a diver's watch... I read here and there that it was not a real Sea-Dweller because it has the magnifying glass on the date... Seriously, all these specialists telling you what to do and what to think... it's becoming a pain! I have the Rolex I wanted, I like it, it's beautiful, maybe it will go for a little dive this summer - or not - what matters is that I love it! Thanks for this platform that surprisingly did not exist before 🙏

Love it even if waited too long

When it was released in 2017, this new SD 126600 came to replace 50 years after the appearance of the first SDs (an entire generation of successful divers in 40mm) and especially, the recent 116600 released barely 3 years earlier.
External signs: 43mm, a red signature and a cyclops, why these changes, the cyclops did not seem to me to have its place here, was not the signature of the extreme divers found in the fact that they had a date without cyclops?.. and the 40mm were perfect.
Yet 4 years later, I acquired this new generation of SD and I now admit to really liking it, technically very accomplished (183gr, 1220m, a very pleasant and easily adjustable oyster bracelet, a mvt allowing to go to 70h of power reserve and a cyclops very useful for those who do not see well), in the end this diver is robust, readable, precise and marks the change probably to satisfy the American and oriental markets. I recommend this model to those with a minimum wrist of 17.5.
