As I already said when talking about my G-Shock collection, I have been a fan for a very long time. I am proud of it because the "hype" has gradually increased, hence my feeling of having been one of the pioneers. 
In my circle (I am a street artist) the design of the G-Shock is even a source of inspiration and a daily companion. I can't imagine painting or graffiti with a Daytona. 
In short. The Mudmaster occupies a special place in my collection. It is not an entry-level model since it still costs a few hundred euros. But for this price it offers so much!! Only the Japanese can be so competitive. Sapphire crystal, ultra-resistant carbon case, infinite features, it's quite incredible. 
I owned a Breitling Chronospace for a few years which offered (much) less for (much) more money. I have now had the new Mudmaster model for a few months which is a step up from the old version that I also owned. 
In terms of design, the rendering is very qualitative. The perceived quality brings it closer to much more expensive analog / digital Swiss watches. It is light but takes up space on the wrist. Chick wrists abstain :) 
The G-Shock spirit is present: with this watch on your wrist you want to go and cut down trees with your bare hands. 
The only problem? The desire to go and see the range even higher ... Casio is really very strong! 



Ideal for saving lives or jumping out of a helicopter!!!

I have been a G-shock fan for a long time, like since 1998! As soon as I got my first job, while taking the Parisian metro, I stopped at a CASIO stand to buy myself my first G-shock. I still have it, by the way. It is in a bad state from wearing it so much. But the story was on its way, not the big story but the little personal story with watchmaking. Before that, I had a few watches, Yema watches, CASIO swatches. But there I chose something that gave me strong emotions. Since then, I have had dozens of G-shocks. At all prices, in all colors, in all shapes. And I constantly alternated between Swiss watches and G-shocks depending on the moment and the conditions. And then recently I went back to the New York and Paris G-shocks one after the other and I rediscovered the legendary 1983 model! The famous black rectangular one. And I fell for this little €100 watch that I proudly wear on my wrist! And which attracts as many comments from watch enthusiasts as a Navitimer, yes yes. In short, G-Shock is fun, it’s timeless and unwavering. It’s pure genius. I love it.

Legendary for 40 years!

a great classic this explorer 36 mm. No bad taste. Sober design and legendary origin. So classy in all circumstances. Its plus: it goes super well with a feminine wrist with its 36 mm. Besides, it is she who wears it :) this explorer is simple I will never part with it because it is the very essence of Rolex! My model is from 2001, a major overhaul was necessary 2 years ago. It is like new but with this little extra soul that its 25 springs give it.

My little classic!

I had dreamed of it for a long time as a fan of diving watches and I logically ended up falling for this sub doped with hormones ... it is big, heavy, thick but I still like it with all its flaws. Obviously it is flashy and over time I stopped wearing it with suits but with jeans and a t-shirt it is cool. And then it remains a Rolex so solid and precise. 
It remains apart in their collection and it plays more in the Breitling and Panerai category in terms of proportions and rendering.

Submariner bodybuildée !

…it might be this one… I have a special affection for Omega, which I consider to be a truly exciting manufacturer with extraordinary collections. The Speed Master is the ultimate chronometer with such a recognizable design that I never get tired of. And much less flashy than the recent Daytos. The 2021 model with the 3861 module is great and the strap is incredibly comfortable! For me it’s a must-have. Right now I’m wearing it on a NATO strap, it gives it a great vintage style.

If there was only one left...

After weeks of suspense and waiting on the internet and then in store I got it !!!!!! What an incredible marketing stunt. In the end I hardly wear it ha ha 
But it's my wife who enjoys it. It's light and looks smaller than its 42 advertised diameter. Especially in black and with a tropic strap (mandatory change) 
I've had it since the launch and so far everything is fine. Apart from the scratches on the glass which is a bit cheap. The one from the swatchxblancpain has since been better made. Well nice this little moon but hey I prefer the real speed. Irreplaceable.

The biggest marketing stunt in watchmaking

I had already fallen for the Swatch x Omega collaboration and despite the less hype I admit that the collaboration with Blancpain is a notch above. The perceived quality is better, the mechanical movement visible through the back is very nice. And the rendering on the wrist is classier while remaining sporty. The range of colors is very questionable so I went for the blue first and then the black. I don't regret it. Very nice rendering. To wear to the office or on the hurdy-gurdy. Nice alternative to a Swiss watch without risking death on the street corner. Obviously, as with the moonswatch, a change of strap is necessary which will increase the budget a little more. The price remains a little high for plastic...

A collaboration that is both accessible and elitist!

The Sub green bezel is for me a little watch grail. The sub being the most emblematic diver and the most emblematic of ROLEX (even ahead of the Dayto yes yes)
I owned the Kermit that I bought in 2009 and which I had to part with. As is often the case when you part with a piece, I bitterly regretted it and so I decided to get the Cermit.
Thinner, with a more modern movement and above all a deep green very close to the ROLEX green.
I find it sporty and classy. Bright. Fun. Iconic. I love it.

You can say what you want and hate it for fun, it remains the reference. Its qualities are no longer to be demonstrated, discussing them is almost an outrage. It is the archetype of the diving watch and the one that gave a generation the desire to be interested in mechanical watchmaking again. It is the watch of superlatives as it has no flaws. Obviously there are flaws but they are rather created by our gaze. This all green version, called HULK, was given to me by my wife for a decade at the time when this configuration did not meet with great success and remained in stores at retailers who advised customers to wait a little for the black ones to come back. Fortunately she knows me well and knew that I would love this shade attached to the history of the brand. Since we like to give them nicknames, the real Wimbledon should have been this 116610LV. It’s a Queen that nowadays is most often worn as a blazer in the evening but that for my part I use on a daily basis without fear.

The Queen

Having lost a pretty 16610LV a few years earlier, I decided when my daughter was born in 2016 to treat myself to the 116610LV (the famous Hulk). This Submariner must be put into context at the time: it was criticized, few people found it desirable and its sales represented 1 LV for 8 Subs. The shift taken by watchmaking in 2017 (social networks, the growing demand from women for this type of model, etc.) has considerably reshuffled the cards to the point that the Hulks saw their demand increase until it exploded second-hand when it was replaced in 2020 by the 126610LV. It is necessary to take the characteristics of a Sub Date LN (150gr, 40mm, Oyster, mvt auto 3135 48h of power, cerachrom bezel, water resistance to 300m) with a fundamental difference, its beautiful green sunray dial and its green cerachrom bezel, the latter has become a star among divers and in particular a reference in the range of Sub.
A day will come when my daughter will inherit it.
