I share with you here my opinion on this Tissot chronograph. Watch enthusiasts will tell me here that there is nothing very interesting, it is an entry-level watch with a Quartz movement so nothing very exotic so far, but it is in the simplicity that lies the interest of this chronograph, and what makes it for me a perfect daily. The interest of this model is especially for me the steel bracelet which is of very good quality, the black frame gives a rather classy side and the watch has a certain character, moreover the Tissot manufacture has a very important heritage and this is what I particularly like when I see this name at the top of the dial, in short this watch always has a particular effect on me when I put it on my wrist and yet no incredible movement no handmade finish but it is a Swiss watch which for me totally fulfills its role

A must have in your collection!, for me Seiko 5, has a particular imprint in the world of Japanese watchmaking, the 4r36 movement is quite qualitative for the price, I particularly love the transparent case back which lets you see this pretty movement, the midnight blue frame and the indexes shine in the light, which makes this watch an ideal partner to accompany your daily life whether at the gym or in casual wear, it is always a pleasure to have an entry-level Seiko in your collection

Here is my Seiko 5 - Snke01k1 - with an integrated case - 60 minute bezel - equipped with an automatic caliber 7S26 - shiny black dial - applied stick indexes as well as the 5 logo. Day date black background - 36 mm brushed case - the perfect watch for summer and in tune with the times with its integrated bracelet!

I really like this Seiko 5 with a diameter of 40mm which looks a bit like a Tudor bb…it is very comfortable, I wear it quite often…its diameter for a Seiko 5 is smaller because I have other Seiko 5 sport Milanese mesh which are 42mm, it is automatic with a power reserve of 42 hours…it also exists in black dial color and its public price is 270 euros.

An atypical Seiko 5

I was lucky enough to see a two-tone watch so 80 on his wrist for a long time.
The problem with big brands is to see how much they tense up when it comes to innovating, so convinced that the public will not follow this time. So we change the color of the dial blah blah blah...
so it is sometimes useful to go back to the past.
this watch is cool, funky and so 80 (and not FFF: futile showing off...)

Vintage, tribute to my father

An incredible watch, absolutely accessible to everyone. Automatic movement with date (in English AND Arabic) and day. Integrated bracelet very comfortable to wear. I recommend this model for its UNBEATABLE quality/price ratio!! Imported from the Middle East, it is rare in Europe and I have never seen one.

SEIKO 5 ARABIC DIAL 34MM

I think every collector should have a birthday watch and Seiko by its serial numbers makes the search a lot easier.
This Seiko Actus SS from December 1976 is my birthday watch, it is in a 'time capsule' condition in the good sense of the term, almost new old stock.
SS means Second Setting, it is the 3rd Seiko model with this famous 'stop seconds' setting.
Immaculate dial, case without scratches, I just swapped the original metal bracelet, not very pleasant and very 70s, for a wine red leather with the most beautiful effect.
I wear it rarely, it is a heritage watch that I will pass on and which I hope will see the next generations.

Seiko Actus SS 'Birthday Watch'

What if this Seiko 5 was my favorite watch!? Bought for €150 2 years ago, it's crazy the pleasure it gives me and the impression - for this song - of having a watch on my wrist... precious. Of great value. The gilding that frames the indexes, the date window, the hands and even the Five logo applied just like the brand, all of this delights me as much as possible. And the sunburst metallic of the dial that adds something at little cost, I love it!!! Its small 36mm format bothered me, even disappointed me at first. Now, it's this size that I like and that I'm looking for. Yes, really, a watch that makes you rich because for this price, you can afford it much more often than reason should allow. And when you know the infinite variation of models released in the Five series, you tell yourself that you haven't finished having fun without (too much) counting.

With its vintage look from the 70s/80s, this Seiko 5 SNXS takes me back in time!
Its price is also very reasonable, around 150 euros and its mechanism, the famous 7S26, is a tractor that lasts over time!
In short, this watch is a sure bet, so much so that Seiko has just reissued it (in April 2024).

A great vintage look for a very reasonable price

Here is a very nice SEIKO 5 7009-3110 from 1982 in a full "gold" version that I have owned for a little less than 20 years. This model is nicknamed "Datejust" because of its similarity to you-know-who. However, it has the Seiko codes with the crown at 4:00 and the day / date with quick change in 2 languages (French and English). I did not buy it at all for this resemblance, but simply because I found it beautiful in the sun! The caliber is the 7009 with 17 jewels, rather good quality and quite precise. The gold coating is very resistant, because after 40 years it is still impeccable. Afterwards, the full "gold" (bracelet, case, bezel, dial, indexes and hands) will surely not please everyone, but I assume it very well, and I wear it with pleasure when I am looking for a very, very dressy watch.

She does not go unnoticed

A superb release from Seiko with this 5 with a 38 mm case, very comfortable.
Snoopy in every way, on the dial, on the typography of the bezel, on the crown and of course on the case back.

Seiko 5 Snke01k1 automatic, about 36 mm... boosted by 7s26, 21 jewels. No manual winding possible. Apart from the size that I now find too small, it is a very reliable watch and smells of quality. With the little use I make of it, it is worry-free. Just take it in hand and it restarts. The bezel does not turn, and I find the dial with the hands very pretty and readable.

Small, but...

Seiko five (ref: SNK809K2). This is my wife's daily. This military-style Seiko is very readable thanks to the contrast between the whiteness of the hands and the hours/minutes typography with the navy blue dial. The day and date are also very well integrated since they keep these same codes. My wife chose a fabric strap with a red border recalling the end of the second hand and which feminizes it a little more. The 37mm case includes the entry-level automatic caliber 7S26 but which remains of impeccable quality. It turns at 21600 vibrations per hour. This 7s26 has the particularity of recharging in both directions thanks to the "Magic Lever" system. Unfortunately, it is impossible to wind it manually and the power reserve of only 40 hours is a little short if you stay a day without too many activities...
However, I recommend this Seiko if you have a small budget and are looking for a simple and efficient everyday watch that goes everywhere.

Simple and incredibly effective

This watch has a sandblasted steel case that gives an aged look that is particularly pleasing to the eye. The applied indexes offer a play of light that is hard to detach from. The timepiece not only has the date, but also the day. The latter has the advantage of being in French. The dial offers two scales for the hours (a classic one from 1 to 12 and the other from 13 to 24). It is also necessary to highlight the beautiful quality of the leather strap. The hardlex glass is a little disappointing for a watch of this type, but it remains more resistant than a standard mineral glass.

All the charm of Seiko

I received this pretty little vintage Seiko 5 as a gift, the glass was shattered but the watch worked properly. Purchase of a new glass on ebay followed by a quick trip to the little watchmaker and here is a watch that gives a lot compared to its apparent simplicity. A day date "tv dial", days in English/Arabic, caliber 6309 roots (without manual winding) but ultra reliable and solid. With a small blue leather strap, it looks great on the wrist, with a polo shirt of the same color for example. These little vintage 5 models can be found for a song and there was such a variety that it is, I think, impossible not to find what you are looking for!

Pleasure for a handful of bucks!

This watch was a real surprise! Ordered online, opening the box excited me like a watch rarely does. The deep blue, the contrast of its hands, the resolutely contained but quite suitable size (37 mm) makes it a simple, relevant, easy to wear and above all pretty watch. It suits me perfectly and I always take great pleasure in wearing it. Not very thick, it slips very well under the shirt sleeve. The dial is the strong point of the watch. The movement is the famous 7S26, reliable but not very precise and without stop seconds, nor winding via the crown. It is always surprising to wind your watch by shaking it! but that is part of the charm of this watch and for the precision, it is not a few seconds per day, which will change the pleasure I have in wearing it.
Its faults are the bracelet, quite low quality, but nevertheless comfortable and the 5 logo emblazoned which looks a little dated.
For less than 80 euros this watch is definitely worth the purchase and the love at first sight!

Simple, classic, inexpensive

Uncommon Seiko SNK357 from 2015 with an ideal diameter of 37mm, discreet under the sleeve. 
Its detail that makes all the difference on this reference? A textured blue dial with the 5 of Seiko 5, an inspiration from the textured dials that can be found at Grand Seiko. Model initially reserved for the Japanese market before being available internationally. This blue varies from light blue to black depending on the light and goes perfectly with the applied indexes and an angular style that is today the strength of the higher Presage range. 


Seiko SNK357 K1, it has everything a great

I wanted a fieldwatch with character to complete my Seiko collection. I came across this Seiko5, not too expensive, rather original and which does not duplicate my Khaki Field. Its design caught me immediately, the dial is sumptuous and convinced me to buy it. I have to be honest and recognize its flaws, a very cheap strap that almost looks plastic, a 4R35 movement that is not the most noble and a hardlex glass that could take scratches. But all its flaws are quickly forgotten when I put it on a small nato, and I take pleasure in admiring the dial without any guilt about the investment each time I look at the time.
