The Tudor Black Bay Ceramic is a watch that stands out for its simplicity and comfort. Comfortable to wear, it is light on the wrist, which makes it ideal for everyday use. Its discretion is one of its major assets, it does not seek to attract the eye. Unlike some watches that shine brightly, this Tudor is rather discreet and does not attract the attention of certain people outdoors. Only connoisseurs will be able to recognize it thanks to the Tudor snowflake hands, its black case and its dark dial.

The readability of the time is a crucial aspect for any watch. Thanks to its clear indexes and hands, which stand out clearly on the dark dial, it is easy to read the time at a glance.

Precision is an essential characteristic for any watch worthy of the name, and the Tudor Ceramic is no exception. METAS certified, which ensures exceptional precision among other things, it benefits from Imperial precision, only losing one second per day for the one I have. In addition, its superb black caliber is visible through a sapphire crystal caseback, offering a captivating mechanical spectacle.

It is sold with two different straps, a hybrid in rubber and leather, as well as another in fabric, giving it appreciable versatility to adapt to different styles and occasions.

However, despite its many assets, the Tudor Black Bay Ceramic is not without a few negative points. Some might regret the absence of an essential element to make it a true diver: a small luminova on the unidirectional bezel. This omission may seem strange on the part of Tudor, especially given the brand's reputation in the diving field.

Additionally, the lack of a black ceramic or black PVD steel bracelet option may be disappointing to some watch enthusiasts, who would have appreciated this option to complement the dark aesthetic of the watch.

Despite these few shortcomings, it remains a safe choice for those looking for a discreet and reliable watch from Tudor.

The Dark Side by Tudor?

I have owned this watch for 2 and a half years now, I am still so happy to have fallen for it.
It ticked all the boxes I was looking for in a first mechanical watch: "Swiss made" watch from a well-known and recognized brand, with a large power reserve (80 hours) and automatic winding, open back, reliable and precise movement with a maintenance price that will not be exorbitant, simple but elegant blue dial as well as an attractive price (less than €700 at the watchmaker thanks to a reduction before confinement).
Currently, I have nothing to say about the famous Powermatic 80 Silicium. It is still as reliable! It loses 2 seconds per day, which is more than honorable for a watch that is not COSC certified.
In summary, even after all this time I still take great pleasure in wearing it and feeling it on my wrist whether with a T-shirt or a shirt.
The only negative point is that its metal bracelet gets a lot of micro-scratches on the polished facets, even when being very careful.
I can only recommend it if it validates your search criteria.

PARADOXICAL, that's the first adjective that comes to mind when I think of this watch. 

My first experience with the watch was catastrophic, I saw it in the window and found it beautiful, but once on the wrist, my partner found it ugly and massive on its steel bracelet. 

I still liked the model despite everything, and I loved the photos where I saw it on a black leather bracelet. So I decided to buy it, an opportunity on the second-hand market pushed me to take it with the steel bracelet (which I don't like because it's a nest of scratches). 

I thought I would put the leather bracelet on it and check the box of the sporty-chic watch, take it out from time to time and take care of its magnificent mirror-polished bezel. After a year I still haven't bought this black leather, I wear it from time to time on the brown leather of my Longines, but I haven't managed to find a nice personal strap for it, the 21mm lug width doesn't help. 

Finally I got used to using this watch on the steel bracelet that I find monstrously comfortable and practical to use (I usually take my watches off my wrist about ten times a day to put them in front of me). This Tissot ended up serving me as a toolwatch that I don't hesitate to mistreat, it has taken a lot of shocks, I love its 100m water resistance which allows me to use it without any hassle. With my Khaki Field auto, it is clearly the watch that I wear the most. I ended up loving it because it never bothers me, I'm not afraid of damaging it, its magnificent blue dial never tires me, it changes from black to sunray blue and takes the light wonderfully well thanks to the superb polished faceted indexes, the hands are also very successful. The little extra, its sparkling side dazzles many people and it often earns me compliments. The big plus, its movement is exceptionally well regulated, and thanks to the 80h power reserve, I only reset it every 10 weeks or so. In summary, a good purchase that has been confirmed over time. A watch that makes you think about the use of my other watches.
