A real 70's look this Tissot which is in clinical condition!!! Automatic and with a magnificent monobloc case. One of the prettiest in my vintage collection, super pleasant to wear with its jubilee which suits it wonderfully, moreover it is my only watch where I have never tried another strap so much it suits it wonderfully 😉😉I hope you will like it as much as I do but I have no doubts about it 😂

Tissot Seastar visiodate automatic seastar seven 70's

When we talk about Tissot Seastar, we think more of a diver than a dress watch. But just like Omega with its Seamaster range, Tissot has produced many classic Seastars. Here is a model from the early 70s that I have owned for at least 25 years. It has never let me down, despite a total lack of maintenance on my part. Mea culpa. It must be said that this small FHF ST 90-4 caliber with manual winding is of exemplary reliability, and relatively precise. The black hands, black second hand and black Roman numerals on a white dial ensure perfect readability of the time. This is one of the main reasons why I love this watch, and I wear it quite often. The 36 mm case (excluding the crown) is gold-plated, but fortunately so because the black and white of the dial could quickly become austere. While here, the Tissot has a little "classy" touch, which is highlighted by a pretty brown leather strap with a perfect patina. It therefore has its place in my collection.

An elegant Tissot Seastar

We are far from these last very interesting releases with the PRX in particular.
To travel a little more with this little bit of history that Tissot tells us with this SeaStar from the 70s. I would say that this watch is a candy from the past, with a dial that exudes decades gone by. A patina on the dial that here pulls as much on the green as on the beige or even champagne at times.
So it is certain that many here will see only an uninteresting bit of the past, and I dive into it as if to try to find out what this beauty could have lived.

Tissot SeaStar Automatic

This Tissot has become from beyond the grave, we can say, after a good overhaul as well as a little facelift, especially with the change of its "glass".
This watch had belonged to my grandfather who had given it to my father after a good overhaul I wear it with nostalgia on my wrist.
Just like the Seiko I find that it can easily change its look with a new Bracelet.
As many other watches could leave my collection, this one will remain!

Family watch

I found this magnificent vintage monobloc gold-plated watch in perfect condition. This pretty lady with a beige dial and very fine gold indexes is very chic with a diameter of 35mm. No date, and very fine hands, which reinforces its elegant side. I had been charmed by this jewel to complete my watch collection and wear it for social occasions. Failed! My wife set her sights on it…. It became her chic outing watch to match her little black dress and high heels.

I got this watch some time ago from my father's things.
He told me that it was his father's, therefore my grandfather's, whom I never knew.
With this watch I feel like I know him.

This Tissot Seastar Automatic has a contained diameter of 35 mm and is a simple three-hand watch.

I really like the Tissot "T" logo applied to the dial and the case back engraved with a sun on this watch.

It is quite damaged, scratched everywhere, a polish and a change of plexiglass would not hurt it...

I mounted a pretty two-tone nato strap on it which gives it a summery look.

In short, a pretty simple vintage watch.

Tissot Seastar1971 Cal manual 781-1. One of my first watches; bought on the bay a few years ago, it was a nice surprise for me. The watch was cosmetically very clean, the dial not pitted. Seastar obliges, screwed back and pierced horns like in the good old days, very practical for changing the straps. The watch works very well and the silver sunray dial, very classic, goes well in all circumstances. Of course I forget swimming! A good little classic that echoes my PRX: watches that give a lot without breaking the bank.
