I present to you the Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Power Reserve ref 47200/1 in 18 ct yellow gold (is it really necessary to specify?) that I acquired a little over a year ago now. What can I say? It is always an immense pleasure to contemplate it, and the more I indulge in this pleasure, the more I admire it. Everything is refinement on this watch. The textured/tapestry dial (without really being one), the finely gilded sub-counters, the delicately detailed chamfers, not to mention the majestic Maltese cross proudly enthroned in place of the XII… what magic! In short, I am a fan. Although it is made of gold, it is ultimately light and is forgotten when worn. A real pleasure to no longer think about its presence and to rediscover its beauty at every glance… Only small downside, it is not a VC “in-house” movement, but a JLC movement base. But is it really a defect?
