The SARY057 is the very first Seiko watch that entered my collection. It is not ready to leave it. This watch has won me over thanks to its simplicity and its go-with-everything side. I have had this watch for about 5 years and it always does the job when I put it on my wrist!

The Ball brand is linked to the pioneers of the railroad. This brand was born following the head-on collision between two trains in Ohio. 
In search of a watch with a white dial, I set my sights on the Fireman Victory. I must admit that I fell in love with its silvery white dial with a clou de Paris motif, it gives a lot of depth and brightness to the watch. The little detail that I prefer? Probably the counterweight representing the brand's logo on the seconds hand! 
The luminance of this watch is very effective thanks to the brand's signature technology. Micro tritium tubes present on the dauphine-type hands and indexes. Being a big fan of steel bracelets, this one is of good quality and comfortable on the wrist. 
The dimensions of the case are 40mm in diameter and 11.6 thick. This watch has a very urban character and also a dressy side which makes it a versatile piece in my opinion. 
The watch is equipped with the Ball RR1103 movement (ETA 2824-2 or SELITTA SW200-1 base). On the solid case back we can see a train engraving recalling the origins of the brand. 
Concerning the weak points of this watch the clasp which is rather agricultural in use. I can also note the low power reserve of 38 hours which is below current standards.

A watch linked to the railway industry 👨‍🚒

In addition to being a real favorite, this watch perfectly meets my expectations.

The onion-type screw-in crown, the roller bracelet, the four riders on the bezel are faithful to the original design launched in 1983 for Italian pilots. They bring charm and character.

I opted for this pretty "slate" gray dial (exclusive boutique color).

Each ray of sunlight, shadows, angles give different reflections to the dial and to this mirror-polished steel bezel, it is very attractive to look at.

The red GMT hand brings it color. I enjoy contemplating this beautiful second hand floating on the dial.

The little detail that I like a lot, the brand badge which represents a "B" applied on the dial! I also appreciate the baton-type indexes, hard to choose🤔

I have to talk about the legendary roller bracelet. In my opinion it is sublime and comfortable. Nothing to complain about, it is perfect!

The heart of the watch is powered by the Breitling Caliber 32, an ETA 2893-2 base modified by the brand and COSC certified.
This movement is not unanimous because for the price some would like a manufactured movement. Personally, it does not bother me.

This Chronomat has a sporty look and characteristics (waterproof 20 ATM, screwed crown, crown protector) but also a chic side which makes it a versatile piece.
You have understood that I adhere 100% to the model as it gives me pleasure on the wrist and emotions.

This Chronomat has eaten away my brain!

The German brand Zeppelin traces its history and origins to the construction of the first airship. The brand's logo itself represents an airship. I must admit that I am not a big fan of dress watches but I wanted to integrate one into my collection. I went for this model because the price is relatively affordable and its beige and readable dial managed to seduce me. The negative points of this timepiece are, in my opinion, the poor quality bracelet as well as the noisy movement on the wrist.

What can I say about this Tudor black bay 58? Too many things and I'm unfortunately going to forget some aha!
The dimensions of this watch are for my part perfect and can adapt to any type of wrist. This vintage and sporty dial gives it a dressy side which allows it to be worn in any type of situation. I really like the indexes circled in gold and the snowflake hands which are a true signature of the brand.
Its water resistance (20 ATM) allows you to do absolutely everything with it.
The steel bracelet is of excellent quality and super comfortable.
This watch is the most precise in my collection even if I am not a geek concerning this spec it is always pleasant.


The neo vintage par excellence

This Seiko model (SARGOO9) is for me a perfect alternative to explorer or ranger type watches with its own identity and charm. 
The design of this watch is perfectly done in my opinion. I find it very versatile and can be adapted for a casual and/or more dressy and conventional style. The cream-colored Arabic numerals on the dial are due to the most beautiful effect, the date is very well integrated. This watch is equipped with the 6R15 from Seiko, the bottom of the case is open to observe the movement. The case measures 40mm in diameter, the proportions of this Seiko are ideal and sits well on the wrist. The 10ATM water resistance is very correct. Honestly, I don't see any negative point on this watch apart from getting it because it is no longer produced by Seiko. But if you like it, go for it!

A Japanese girl to go on an adventure

I vaguely knew the brand that sports a crown as a logo (they are obviously not the only ones) before I was given this quartz chronograph. Since then I have been a little interested in the brand. It is a French brand created in Paris that offers quartz and automatic models at very affordable prices. 
To be completely honest, recent designs don't speak to me much! 
What strikes me immediately with this timepiece is obviously this yellow dial that I really like and that brings pep (very nice for sunny days). The black sub-counters integrate well. 
However, the date window at 4 o'clock distorts the dial to my taste with its white color. The chronograph module unfortunately no longer works on this watch. 
Regarding the bracelet, nothing to complain about, it is not an exceptional bracelet but it clearly does the job. 
I rarely wear this watch because I find the dimensions of the case and the lug to lug too large.

A yellow dial for summer

This Herbelin Odyssée was bought in an auction room by my father for my birthday.
From the moment I put the watch on my wrist I immediately joined in, I appreciated the shape of this bezel as well as the visible screws. I was convinced by its black dial and its very comfortable steel bracelet.
I really knew nothing about the world of watchmaking at that time, neither near nor far, and I was far from imagining that I would become passionate about watches at that time.
This is a quartz model, so its finesse is very appreciable and makes it very pleasant to wear.
It is one of the watches that I have worn the most and that I continue to wear from time to time.

Later I did some research on it and I realized that the model had been sued by Audemars Piguet. Who won their case because it "imitated" a certain Royal Aok a little too closely. Consequently, the production of this watch was stopped.

The beginning of a passion!

The Cap Camarat model is the second watch from the Michel Herbelin brand to have joined my collection. Since then, I have had a real interest in this French brand. At the time I bought this one, I was looking for an affordable blue dial watch with a sporty look. I think it ticks those boxes pretty well! My only small regret with this watch is not having acquired it in an automatic version... I can only recommend this brand and more particularly the Cap Camarat model.

For a sporty French look.

This vintage watch was given to me by my father. I had absolutely no idea about the brand before receiving it, it is a brand that disappeared to reappear under the name Utinam Besançon in 1993.
I really like the general design of this watch from the 70s, especially with its cushion case of contained size. The bracelet that equips this watch is probably not original, it is made of metal and elastic, reinforcing the vintage look of the timepiece.
The watch is not in perfect condition but I find that the scars of life give it character. It is not the watch that I wear the most but it has its effect every moment on my wrist.

My first vintage

This Yonger & Bresson means a lot to me because it was given to me by a loved one. It is thanks to this watch that the world of watchmaking entered my life. I always told myself that I would have the same in Rolex, hence my 16013. Nothing more to add to this watch, but it accompanied me in all my adventures for almost 10 years, if there was only one left, I think it would be the chosen one. It is enjoying a sweet retirement in its case today, I take it out for pleasure from time to time. (The condition is still impeccable even after 10 years of wearing).

Yonger and Bresson

I am from that generation marked by the Yonger & Bresson advert that was constantly on TV. "Yonger & Bresson", watches with Swiss precision". 
However, it is a French watch with a French movement (here an FE 3612 with very average precision). 
Whoever came up with this ad campaign pulled off a brilliant move. In 15 seconds, the brand is mentioned 3 times, then a sentence: watches.........Swiss (with a strong emphasis on Swiiiisssse). 
Since I am very nostalgic, I had to have a Yonger & Bresson in my collection. I chose this one, but the brand's models are countless. The watch is of average quality, and yet it still works (which just goes to show...). 
In the same vein as the Kelton, the Yonger & Bresson allow those who have fears to enter the world of vintage without financial risk. And for the older ones, to treat themselves to a little moment of nostalgia.

The brand Ollech &amp; Wajs was created in 1956 by Joseph Ollech and Albert Wajs in Zurich, Switzerland. Albert was responsible for the design, engineering and manufacturing of the watches, while Joseph handled marketing and retail sales.
