Plus Defy que Classic

I fell for this watch as soon as I saw it. The episode of small watches between friends with Elliot (S2E38) finished inking this idea in my head. It is my first titanium watch and it is clear that it is indeed particularly light which contrasts with a visual that at first glance seems sporty due to angular shapes that give an impression of robustness. Then, you put it on your wrist and everything changes, ultra light with its rubber and alligator straps if necessary (I do not have the titanium strap to know what it is) you immerse yourself in this open dial which lets you guess the mechanism more than see it 100%. The combination of polished and brushed on the case accentuates its aspect of a sports watch with touches of elegance that allow it to be worn in different circumstances. I particularly appreciate the touch of blue brought by the railway and even more the integration of the date. On this thorny subject I am rather part of the school "the date is useless and often it spoils the harmony of the dial" (which does not always prevent me from buying watches with dates). But on this one Zenith is strong. When reading the spec for the first time I was still looking for the date on the dial and today I love looking at the date disc and I find this date at 6 o'clock perfectly integrated into the general look of the watch. The hollowed-out disc moves and is superimposed on a fixed white part which lets see the date without it jumping out at you. Among the other details to appreciate, the unbalance of the second hand with its star, the star-shaped oscillating weight, the shape of the bracelet which narrows sharply towards the buckle struck with a star on the inside and the outside which gives it another touch of sportiness. This watch is therefore a perfect oxymoron, for a watch that we call Classic in my opinion it really stands out from what exists on the market.
