This watch was released on the day the MoonSwatch was released. Of course, not many people noticed, the crowds were in front of the Swatch stores to consume fast-watches, pretty disposable watches galore, fewer people at Awake concept which offers a more responsible approach to watch consumption. And yet it sold out very quickly since it was a series of 50. What attracted me first was the promise of entering the world of Jules Verne, in Journey to the Center of the Earth with warm and complex colors like lava. In reality, it was simply a new color variation of the dial and case, of the "original" model. But we are not going to quibble as long as we have a more responsible approach to consumption we must avoid developing a model to simply produce 50 small watches, especially since the result is very successful. The dial is truly captivating and makes up for the fact that there are only two hands and therefore no animation. We are completely absorbed in contemplating this mineral world of the sunray dial which reacts differently depending on the lighting. There were two bracelets provided with it, a little small but very successful. The luminescent coating is very strong on the indexes and hands which makes reading very easy. I wore this watch in Naples and of course during hikes on Vesuvius. It is therefore associated in my mind with very good memories. It is a sober and light watch but captivating and with extraordinary readability, a simple glance at the wrist and we know what time it is, even in low light. The only criticism that could be made of it is that if it was really the watch of one of the Lidenbrocks in their descent underground it would need either a 24-hour dial or a day-night indication, or even a date complication because underground it is easy to lose the countdown. And we end up with an indication of the time modulo 12h without really knowing where we are. But once again the reference to Jules Verne is actually limited to the reflections of the dial. It's not like at Horizon Watches where they take inspiration from Jules Verne's characters from the beginning of the watch design. I also like the solar movement. It always gives a good excuse to sit on the terrace "to recharge my mount" when in reality 30 minutes of exposure every six months is enough to charge it. It's a very good little inexpensive watch, sober but terribly refined and endearing. Adjectives: telluric, simple, small, imaginary, romantic, volcanic, readable, solar, light, responsible,
