Why customers love Casio?

I present to you my Casio Duro Marlin with the marlin on the dial and on the case back, because now and for a long time it is no longer found in this configuration in France and in Europe... I have had this diver for years and apart from changing the battery every three years I have never had a problem I am very attached to it, it is solid and robust and even with the 43mm diameter with its rounded and short horns it does not shock the wrist, it has a screwed crown and its water resistance is 20 ATM

As I already said when talking about my G-Shock collection, I have been a fan for a very long time. I am proud of it because the "hype" has gradually increased, hence my feeling of having been one of the pioneers. In my circle (I am a street artist) the design of the G-Shock is even a source of inspiration and a daily companion. I can't imagine painting or graffiti with a Daytona. In short. The Mudmaster occupies a special place in my collection. It is not an entry-level model since it still costs a few hundred euros. But for this price it offers so much!! Only the Japanese can be so competitive. Sapphire crystal, ultra-resistant carbon case, infinite features, it's quite incredible. I owned a Breitling Chronospace for a few years which offered (much) less for (much) more money. I have now had the new Mudmaster model for a few months which is a step up from the old version that I also owned. In terms of design, the rendering is very qualitative. The perceived quality brings it closer to much more expensive analog / digital Swiss watches. It is light but takes up space on the wrist. Chick wrists abstain :) The G-Shock spirit is present: with this watch on your wrist you want to go and cut down trees with your bare hands. The only problem? The desire to go and see the range even higher ... Casio is really very strong!

I just bought it in January 2025 so it's going to be complicated to give you a concrete opinion. I had never had a G-Shock before and thinking about it I found it surprising and a shame especially when you've been collecting watches for 25 years now. So it was time to get the famous CasiOak for my part the bluetooth and solar version model GA-B2100-1AER. Having been used to wearing GARMIN SmartWatches since 2015, the all-plastic and connected type didn't surprise me but where G-shock makes the difference is to think that for relatively low prices you can have a watch with such impressive specifications and a robustness to all tests. This GA-B2100-1AER is really cool and comfortable to wear because it is very light, the octagonal shape gives it a slightly seventies look that I like, the sunray dial is very effective and the layout of the opening on the digital screen is harmonious. Apart from the push buttons that I find much too short for proper use, otherwise it is flawless. Now that I have fallen into it, I have made a small list of the next G-SHOCK acquisitions, I was weak and quickly fell for the DW5900-1 which appeared in 1998 in the cult film The Big Lebowski (my favorite), and on Walter's wrist who wears the famous DW-5900C-1 that I will receive soon, opinion to follow...

I have been a G-shock fan for a long time, like since 1998! As soon as I got my first job, while taking the Parisian metro, I stopped at a CASIO stand to buy myself my first G-shock. I still have it, by the way. It is in a bad state from wearing it so much. But the story was on its way, not the big story but the little personal story with watchmaking. Before that, I had a few watches, Yema watches, CASIO swatches. But there I chose something that gave me strong emotions. Since then, I have had dozens of G-shocks. At all prices, in all colors, in all shapes. And I constantly alternated between Swiss watches and G-shocks depending on the moment and the conditions. And then recently I went back to the New York and Paris G-shocks one after the other and I rediscovered the legendary 1983 model! The famous black rectangular one. And I fell for this little €100 watch that I proudly wear on my wrist! And which attracts as many comments from watch enthusiasts as a Navitimer, yes yes. In short, G-Shock is fun, it’s timeless and unwavering. It’s pure genius. I love it.

Watch bought in June 2024 I went for this model because I like the thick solar Bluetooth watch reliable unbreakable mineral glass but it doesn't matter it's costeau I like the black and orange color it matches well and it's a gavitymaster from casio that's what I wanted so perfect

Here is my Casio G-Shock reference DW-H5600MB-2ER. A smartwatch to track my sports activities yes! But not to the detriment of my watchmaking passion! So I started to learn about the different smartwatches on the market and their features. Of course, if we think only in terms of technical characteristics offered by other specialized watch brands, this G-Shock is not the model with the best value for money. However, I found these same models devoid of soul. That's why when I came across this watch whose famous design is specific to the brand, the link between watchmaking and functionality appeared. This watch mainly allows the measurement of time, distance, speed and running pace, average and proportional heart rate, sleep quality, and display of mobile notifications. The data can then be viewed on the CASIO application and can also be coupled with Strava. Little extra: the sundial allowing good autonomy, as well as the blued steel bezel that this MB-2ER model has.

This Casio MTP-1302PD-2AV embodies pragmatism in its purest form. Bought new for €45, it perfectly fulfills its specifications. Its sunray dial adds the touch of depth it needs. Dated at 3 o'clock and dotted with a fine minute track on the indexes, the dial is equipped with a quartz caliber. Its fluted bezel is reminiscent of the Datejust, its bracelet being rather inspired by Oyster (brushed/polished). Its sporty design makes it my favorite watch in summer, unlike leather bracelets. Down with quartz snobbery!

I hadn't worn a Casio for a long time, but this G-shock with its hexagonal metal bezel caught my attention. It's not a consensual G-shock, not at all, but it has undeniable assets. First of all, it's extremely readable, the negative screen is quite large, you can vary the amount of information displayed to have the time more or less large. And above all, the contrast is very high, there is always an angle under which even in low light, the additional light is useless even if you just have to press the front button to trigger it. The time is really very readable. Then, it's the color of the prominent bracelet that fascinates me, I can't define it, it's a mixture of light blue and gray, something at the same time joyful, wild, cold and energetic. It intrigues me and I still don't know why I like it. This color reminds me of a painting by Pierre Bonnard, an impression of a comfortable atmosphere, a bright house open to nature, the passage from interior intimacy to the wild immensity of the sea under the blinding light of the sun. It is a watch from the G-shock Glide series designed for board sports and as such it displays lunar and solar information, sunrise and sunset, tide time and height. Above all, the screen displays a graph that allows you to see exactly where you are on the tide profile. That's really good because in practice I always lose my tide calendar and a graph is always faster to read than low and high sea times and a tide coefficient. Afterwards, the other features, including the stopwatch, seem very poorly designed with this stupid screen that displays "activity data? -continue - save -delete" then the interminable "please wait". Even in the twentieth century, watches didn't have such annoying menus for their users and "please wait" screens that take ages. It's surreal. Also, the Bluetooth connection is not the most practical, nor very useful (at least for me). But it doesn't bother me too much, there is a lot of information on the basic screens and it's not really necessary to use the stopwatch and all the advanced functions. The soundtrack to accompany such a watch would in my opinion be the L.A. band Weezer with "Surf Wax America", the energy and youth seem to go perfectly with this surfer's watch (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tG9CjNEjBuQ ) or a band from the French West Coast like "La Femme" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v3rMJ6BOMRA ). The GW-5000U is designed in the spirit of the first G-Shocks - that's how I like them - but it has modern features like solar charging or multi-band. A more high-end version than the 5600s, it is made in Japan; it benefits from a high-quality resin and a very appreciable screwed back. The famous "shock resist" logo underlined in red gives it that little retro side of the first G-Shocks. Comfort is there but you will need nails or sharp fingers to manipulate the pushers. The contrast is excellent (even with polarized glasses) and the LED lighting is very effective. It is a purist's G-Shock that will accompany me everywhere that the other watches in my collection cannot accompany me without fear.

It was time to have a G-Shock and the opportunity came during a vacation in Malaysia... For months, friends had been bugging me about the absence of a G-Shock in my watch collection... It's true after all, who doesn't have their G-Shock? Although this is not my personal trajectory, the holiday atmosphere and the opportunity to also offer one to my son seduced me. I hesitated between a yellow one - my son's - and this one, the GLX5600 reference displaying the tide times... Sparkling and tangy, it's exactly what I needed to go fishing or boating. Ivan, one of the guests of the Dialicious YouTube channel convinced me of the relevance of the history model with its unique design... 40% off for less than €60 and good memories, isn't that - also - what we look for in a watch... Of course, it is neither radio-controlled, nor solar, nor Bluetooth... but it gives me the tide of my favorite fishing spot allowing me to escape for a moment ;-) How long will the romance last? One thing is for sure, my son and I both have a watch in common with the holiday memories that go with it... and that is priceless 👍
