The work on the case, especially the gadroons, is remarkable because they capture the light, allowing the eye to naturally rest on the center of the dial to read the time. The drilling work on the stretcher really brings an extra soul when you turn the case over.
A side with a silver dial and small seconds for traditional use and a black side with a second time zone if you travel or for more discretion.
The pusher at 2 o'clock brings a break in symmetry which gives the watch a little extra twist.
I changed the pin buckle for a folding clasp.
Chic without being ostentatious, this is a watch that will be passed on and will retain its timeless character.

I wanted to buy a diver with its own identity, no homage watch etc. all with a contained budget. This watch quickly met my specifications, sapphire crystal, quality movement (2 seconds of daily drift), affordable financially (bought for 250 euros) with flawless day and night readability. I added a steel bracelet of the same brand so that I could wear it on any occasion. This watch follows me everywhere, there is no need to pay special attention to it. A good tool watch for my needs.

The titanium of this watch really seduced me, the comfort it induces due to its lightness on the wrist is fantastic
The color of the bezel gives it a maritime and vintage look, the brightness of the dial and the combination of the silver of the indexes and the blue itself varying from more or less dark depending on the brightness and another obvious asset of this watch
Really a very good surprise at a price defying all competition on titanium of this quality

And two! barely recovered from the summer joy and pleasure that my Fujitsubo promaster gave me
Here I am just after the meet up in La Baule falling for a great opportunity with this promaster the more classic look but with a more worked bracelet and a navy sunray dial and a black bezel makes this watch strong and elegant
I am only a few days into wearing it but it has already amazed me with its lightness and elegance and its face of an adventurer of the abyss

I decided to celebrate summer by purchasing this Promaster.
I chose it because I wanted a robust, versatile and iconic watch. And yes, this watch is the more recent version of the ny0040 used for several years by the Italian Navy. Add to that my love for divers and here it is on my wrist

Citizen Promaster Titan

I present to you my Citizen Promaster divers Full Lume NY0040-50W ... When looking for a reliable and solid watch at a reasonable price, we inevitably think of Japan and Seiko and perhaps its divers like the SKX007 or the Seiko 5 Sports range. However, another Japanese manufacturer should not be forgotten! This is Citizen, with in particular one of the best cheap automatic diving watches on the market, namely the Citizen Promaster Diver Automatic.

It is one of the most famous watches from the Japanese manufacturer, in particular thanks to its classic and original look, but above all thanks to its resistance and durability. In this price range, it is one of the best possible choices. The full Lume is excellent. Diameter 42mm water resist 200m price 230 euros.

This is a very beautiful Citizen.

This watch has a beautiful story, which I must say weighed in the balance when I was looking for my first diving watch.

It is a reissue of a 1977 model, the Challenge Diver.

The story goes that it was found in 1983 on a beach in Australia by a diver. It had remained in the water, lost by its owner. We do not know how long but on the other hand, it was found covered in shells. This is where its nickname Fujitsubo comes from, "shell" in Japanese.

I fell for this diver for its history but also for its specs, in particular the fact that it is made of titanium. So very light and resistant, thanks to Citizen's duratect.
For the technical side, it is 41mm in diameter, caliber 9051 with 42 hours of power reserve and antimagnetic, please. For the precision it is very correct because by my use it oscillates between -5/+10 sec per day. It is water-resistant to 200m, beveled sapphire crystal which gives character to the watch. I also love its 60-click bezel and this beautiful aluminum insert which plays with the light just like the indexes loaded with luminova. 
It remains quite thin with 12.3 mm thickness, the bracelet is also excellent and it has an extension which is very practical in summer, which means that it sits perfectly well on my 17cm wrist. 
These have become my everyday watch!

Citizen Fujitsubo

I wanted to share my review of my Citizen Promaster Diver Automatic watch, reference NY0084-89E.

This watch is incredible value for money and I bought it new for only €160.

It is truly designed for diving and has a real history, given that a similar model was used by the Italian Navy.

The look of this watch is extremely aggressive, which I really like. In addition, the arrangement of the crown on the left adds a touch of originality. The bezel is very precise and the luminosity of this watch is exceptional, which makes it very easy to read even in dark environments.

However, the weak point of this watch is the metal bracelet that comes with it. I found it uncomfortable and it also made noise, which was quite annoying. I solved this problem by replacing the strap with a nice nato that matches the bezel. Not only did this solve the comfort problem, but it also gave the watch an even sportier look.

Overall, this is a watch that I particularly enjoy wearing during the summer. It is water resistant and can withstand my summer adventures.

I recommend this watch to those looking for a reliable, robust and inexpensive diver.

A robust watch full of history!

Until now, I had never had a Japanese watch. I came across this "Fujisubo" model by chance and I found that it had a beautiful story. Indeed, it is a reinterpretation of a watch that had been found in 1983 on a beach in Australia that was covered in small crustaceans and that was still working. This new version is even more interesting because it is made of titanium. I think it was Citizen who launched titanium on their watches. It is therefore very light and Citizen powered it with their caliber 9051 which is a good caliber. Unfortunately for me, I had bought it on the web and had not tried it before. Personally, I find that it does not fit my wrist. The result is therefore mixed. It is magnificent, light and its movement is very correct. I keep it and wear it from time to time to remind myself that it is essential to try before buying it.

Here is a watch to get started with divers, a watch that seems very robust, for barely 200 euros. This is a feat that is too rarely achieved. This watch can be your faithful adventurer when you feel that you are going to damage your more precious watches. Do not hesitate, it will surprise you. Some elements may seem a little cheap.... But hey, the quality/price ratio is unbeatable.
