Just a year ago, my father found his communion watch in the bottom of a drawer: an Edma Super automatic diver from the 70s, unfortunately stopped… We then undertook its restoration and my interest in this brand, relatively unknown these days, has continued to grow. I therefore became interested in its history as well as the different models marketed between 1944 and 1978 (date of cessation of activity). Today I present to you my Edma chronograph, dating from the early 70s: -40mm diameter case (excluding crown), bidirectional rotating bezel in bakelite, stainless steel case back and domed plexiglass glass. - "Reverse panda" type dial with large tritium indexes, tachymeter and telemeter scales, minute and small second sub-counters at 3 and 9 o'clock as well as the Edma and Incabloc mentions at 12 and 6 o'clock. - The whole is powered by a Landeron 248 caliber with manual winding. The precision is good and the power reserve is approximately 50 hours. I immediately fell in love with this chronograph for its resolutely vintage and balanced look. The reflections of light on the lighter and slightly hollowed sub-counters are magnificent and eye-catching. Recently arrived in my collection, I wear this watch very regularly and on all occasions.
