After loving and wearing my Datejust II 41mm every day for 1 year, it went for servicing for a few months. When it came back, it was put back on my wrist and the confirmation of a nascent feeling from before the after-sales service was confirmed... It was too big for my wrist (the case of the DJ II is thicker/longer than the next ref, the DJ 41). The disenchantment began, and the search for a dress/sport chic began. The model from GP, this Laureato particularly appeals to me because it has a history and its design is simply perfect in my eyes. Some will say that it is a copy of the RO from Audemars Piguet, but I do not agree. This watch exists in 42mm and 38mm; and in order not to repeat the disavowal of the DJ II, I bought it on Chrono 24 in 38mm, just after having sold my Rolex. The unboxing instantly validates the choice and the feeling: the integrated bracelet is magnificent, comfortable, it tapers nicely towards the folding clasp, the indexes and hands shine in the sun, the "clous de paris" dial gives substance and the movement visible via a transparent back is richly decorated. It is a rather fragile watch, it has already gone to after-sales service once because the crown stem got stuck in the movement. So not to be worn every day, but when it is on my wrist, it never goes unnoticed! This little laureato is very classy (which is also more popular than its big 42mm sister).
