I had missed the release of this watch that I found expensive for a LIP. Passing through a jewelry store, I saw it in the window in the blue finish and I put it on my wrist. It was a little love at first sight because of its finishes (this mirror-finished chamfer <3), its movement and the click of the bezel! I was interested in its history and when I saw that this slightly vintage design is in fact totally vintage, I fell in love with this model even more. I start with the matte black dial which is simple and effective, the large indexes full of superluminova, the totally readable railroad, the 6-9-12 which is vintage but so classy and the trapezoidal date window which is not common. Then the baton hands which perfectly fill the railroad (even if it lacks precision) and which allow you to read the time very quickly even from further away. And the lolipop seconds hand (unfaithful to the original model) which is just as charming. Then this double-domed sapphire glass is really perfect in giving reflections on the sublime bevel and (without having checked) there must be a fairly strong anti-reflective treatment because the glass is really very transparent! The aluminum bezel is not without remainder. It makes such a pleasant click that it is certainly one of my favorite diving glasses. In addition it is really very precise, without any play. I continue with the Lajoux Perret G100 movement with Geneva stripes finish which is really efficient. Made in Switzerland but assembled at Humbert Droz in Besançon. Which makes the mention "Besançon France" on the dial really credible. And finally a watch at 1100€ with 68 hours of power reserve! My surprise is that the back is also in sapphire, but LIP certifies the watch with a resistance to 200m! The case is rather classic with brushed finishes everywhere except on a chamfer that runs along the entire case and reflects the light in the most beautiful way! It's one of the rare watches where I'm asked what it is! Well, everything is not perfect because the Tropic bracelet, even if it's rather good, is strictly similar to what you find for €20 on Amazon, it's a shame but the pin buckle is signed, phew! It's really a piece that I quickly became attached to and that will surely never leave my collection.
