Longines Présence - References, Prices and Owners' Reviews

I was looking for a simple watch that took up the codes of a dress watch but that could also be worn more daily, that's when I came across this superb Longines which I think corresponds perfectly to these criteria. Roman numeral indexes, a superb railway in the center of the dial and a nicely decorated visible movement. The only flaw that I remember and which is not major, is the original bracelet very shiny and of poor quality, but this one once replaced by the superb CUT bracelet from WatchArch and everything is perfect to my taste ... What I like about this watch is that it perfectly combines elegance and discretion, formality and relaxation. Because I believe it is the very definition of true elegance, not to be noticed, to have been made with simplicity and sobriety and despite everything to have a magnificent presence!

Not the most famous reference from Longines, with a design that will not necessarily be for everyone, because "too classic, even old-fashioned" (Yes, yes, be honest!) But which has the advantage of being accessible while having interesting characteristics. Here is some information on this Longines: Reference: L4.821.2 Dial: White Size: 34.5mm Auto movement: L.888.3 (ETA A31L02) Nivachoc system Power reserve: 65h! Sapphire crystal Thickness: 6/7mm Between lugs: 18mm (curved lugs) Not bad, right? The movement is the same as the Hydroconquest model, except for the power reserve which is announced at 72 hours. The base in both cases is an ETA 2892-A2. This watch, very classic, is very suitable for both special occasions and days off with jeans. Even if it has recently been removed from the Longines catalog, it is still possible to find its models with often a nice discount. In addition, the 5-year warranty also applies to these models, the date of purchase being authentic. This is the case for mine, which allows it to live more serenely. Personally, I don't think I'll keep mine, not because I don't like it (otherwise why did I buy this watch), but simply because it exists in an 18K Gold version and that's something that's missing from my collection. In short, someone who wants a simple, branded watch, in auto, a good power reserve and to wear at the office, but also near the fireplace with a glass of whisky (in moderation of course), it does the job!
