Why customers love Ming?

In 2019, we were already hearing about Ming, but buying a young brand from Malaysia based on a photo was a gamble. 6 years later, I don't regret buying this model, which was offered at a "reasonable" price at the time. The dial has it all: the color and the guilloche pattern that takes on beautiful reflections depending on the exposure; the solid hands, which were quite rare for the brand at the time, and the indexes. Under an apparent simplicity, this dial takes up details that are both classic and "industrial". I love the case with once again a very industrial design steel block that contrasts with very old school horns that remind me a little of historical cows, with a more pronounced curvature that ensures a perfect plating, even on a small wrist. The crown is easy to grip, but I don't find the winding the most pleasant. The bracelet is beautifully made and gives off a good cow smell when opening the leather case, well made and functional. A 38mm diameter round case, steel, a classic time display, just 2 hands, a crown at 3:00 p.m., a very classic Clou de Paris guilloché on the dial, ... nothing very original and yet nothing is conventional on this watch. Very short and concave lugs, a singular hand shape simply drawn by the luminova, indexes engraved under the glass and filled with luminova, a fairly sporty crown on a watch that could pass for dressy, a dial on two levels that gives incredible depth ... All the classics are revisited with a very assertive design. You either love it or hate it. For those who like it, it is a very versatile watch, which can be worn dressed up or as a t-shirt. The diameter / thickness proportions are perfect. A real success.

Both classic and completely modern, it is a rather atypical watch. Ming and his team have managed to create a strong identity with a very recognizable case: short and concave horns that can be reminiscent of Journe and which require bracelets with curved handles. Very recognizable hands of which only the perimeter is visible and a railroad track interspersed with indexes engraved under the glass and loaded with luminova. The dial consists of a smooth ring on a first level and a lower center magnificently guilloché. The whole gives a lot of depth. This version is distinguished by its burgundy dial with extremely changing reflections. The automatic caliber is a Sellita modified by Manufacture Schwartz-Etienne with a nice little complication: in the intermediate position of the crown, only the hour hand moves and in one-hour increments which allows you to change time zone without touching the minute hand.

This watch is unique, thanks to its 38mm neo vintage case, its rarity, its manufacturing quality, its hands which will allow you to read the time correctly. Depending on the light it offers you a wonderful spectacle as if you are traveling. This watch entered my collection thanks to this visual love at first sight and thanks to this wisdom integrated into the purity of its dial. A correct water resistance of 100 meters. 2 hands, a guilloche dial, well-crafted handles, a quality bracelet and a "railroad" on the glass... This is what we call an atypical design. The magic works very easily with this Burgundy dial which takes the sun in a remarkable way. No false note in my opinion...
