The collection Perrelet Turbine, launched in 2009, embodies the innovation and audacity of the Swiss watch brand. Inspired by the concept of the double rotor, this line is distinguished by a dynamic dial equipped with moving blades, evoking airplane turbines, thus offering a unique visual experience. This collection has become one of the most recognizable watches on the market and a phenomenal success for the brand.
In 1995, Perrelet patented the “Double Rotor”, an automatic winding mechanism with two rotors: one visible on the dial side and the other on the movement side. This concept served as the basis for the creation of the Turbine collection in 2009. Turbine watches feature a dial with 12 moving blades which rotate during wrist movements, creating a striking visual effect.
Since its launch, the Perrelet Turbine collection has evolved with several notable models:
Introduced in 2010, this version sports a 50mm case, accentuating the presence on the wrist and the visual impact of the rotating blades.
Designed for diving enthusiasts, this watch combines the distinctive aesthetic of the Turbine with diving-friendly features, including increased water resistance to 300 meters in particular.
Launched in 2014, this variant incorporates aviation-inspired elements, such as a circular slide rule, while retaining the iconic design of the Turbine, still anchored in the world of pilots.
In 2019, to celebrate the collection's 10th anniversary, Perrelet unveiled the Turbine Evo, featuring a redesigned 44mm case and the COSC-certified P-331-MH caliber.
Introduced in 2023 during Geneva Watch Days, this version features a 41mm titanium case, offering a more compact and lightweight alternative, suitable for a variety of wrists.
Perrelet also launched limited editions of the Turbine, highlighting specific themes. Perrelet Turbine Poker : This model incorporates playing cards on the dial, paying homage to the world of poker. Perrelet Turbine Skull : Limited edition of 99 pieces, this watch features a skull motif, inspired by the Memento Mori theme.
The watches in the Turbine collection are equipped with the automatic manufacture caliber P-331-MH, COSC certified, guaranteeing optimal precision. The cases, available in stainless steel, carbon or titanium, offer water resistance of up to 5 ATM. The anti-reflective sapphire crystal protects the dial, ensuring clear readability, allowing you to admire the magic of the rotor kinetics.
The Turbine collection has strengthened Perrelet's position as an innovative brand, combining watchmaking tradition and contemporary design. Fans and collectors particularly appreciate the bold aesthetics and technical know-how of these watches.
Since its introduction in 2009, Perrelet's Turbine collection has evolved and adapted, offering varied models that combine innovation, performance and distinctive design. It remains an essential reference for watch enthusiasts looking for a watch combining originality and Swiss excellence.
