Another chronograph with this Breitling Navitimer B01 in 46mm! It's a fully analog dashboard for the pilot that I am not. It fits perfectly into my collection, especially alongside my Omega Speedmaster Mark III. Much more modern and imposing at 46mm, it is paradoxically not as big as it seems due to its rather short lugs. Without being visually too thick, the proportions make it a comfortable watch to wear every day. Its sunburst blue dial is magnificent and sparkles with a thousand colors depending on the angle of the sun. Precision and reliability are present, and ultimately, that's what we expect from a recent watch at the very least. I chose it with the blue rubber strap to give it an even sportier look than on exotic leather. The genuine Breitling steel bracelet, on the other hand, gave it a too shiny look that made it slide towards an ostentatious watch! Love it!

A must-have in a collection, the Navitimer needs no introduction. When I was still a novice, only 2 luxury watch brands came to mind: Rolex and Breitling, the second perhaps because of the 3 brothers for forty-somethings who have the reference :-) And for me Breitling, it was the Navitimer. I had a friend who owned one about fifteen years ago, and I found it magnificent at the time. As I became more interested in watches over time, the Navitimer had completely disappeared from my mind. I saw it regularly but no longer really had any interest in it, I found it too busy and unsightly. At the dawn of my 40th birthday, I was looking for a new acquisition with the only criterion, an icon. My choice fell on a Moonwatch, which I looked at for hours on Youtube. I finally decided to try it on and on this occasion, well, nothing happened at all. What a disappointment! I didn't have any other model in mind at the time. A friend told me about the new version of the Navitimer but I wasn't that interested in it. I let time pass, I tried other models and the Speed again, but still nothing. And still surfing, I came across the new Navitimer released at the end of 2022. I talked about it again with my friend who replied: you're stupid, I've been talking to you about it for 2 months! Well, I hadn't noticed... So here I am back in the store for a test and there, the magic happened. My choice fell on a Navitimer Chronograph B01 43mm sunray silver background. I bought it on a steel bracelet, with the addition of the black crocodile and a rubber that also suit it very well. I'll take the opportunity to rant: good God Breitling, make us quick-change bracelets! I know it's complicated on steel but honestly on soft ones it's super simple. This would prevent budding watchmakers like me from accidentally scratching their beauties... Well what a beauty this Navitimer is! Despite the theoretical diameter, its 43mm are not too imposing and fit my 17.5cm wrist very well. What is fascinating about this watch is the incalculable number of extremely well-made details: its domed glass and the absence of flange and bezel give it an incredible dial opening. Its polished indexes and hands, its slide rule, the different angles of the sub-counters, the perfectly integrated date, the polished and brushed pushers, the chamfers, the beauty of the movement highlighted by the sapphire crystal back, the historic logo, the red details... And so on and so forth. There is a lot of information, but it is not at all overloaded like the previous models. The designers managed to integrate all the DNA of the Navitimer but with an unmatched finesse and poetry that you can spend hours contemplating as there are so many details. It's crazy, everything is different and yet I would be incapable of listing the changes. The designers really worked hard, it's a feat! This is just my opinion but I find that the light dials (and especially mine :-)) do it much more honor than the original black that I like much less. Frankly it is not cheap but I think you get what you pay for. I have had it for almost a year now and I have worn it on various occasions and on its 3 bracelets. It is very easy to wear and goes with a lot of styles. It is simply not the one I would choose for a ceremony or in an ultra chic context but frankly it is to nitpick, and maybe also because I have some that are more suitable for these occasions! If I have to sum up, go and try it and you will be able to contemplate the finesse of its details and the quality of the realization of the most legendary of aviator watches.

My Navitimer 43 is my little wrist computer, wrapped in a ceremonial suit. I love its features and design, even if I use it more often to calculate a tip than to estimate my fuel level! Breitling has managed to make a very cluttered dial and yet make it very readable. The contrast of the panda sub-dials and the touches of color make it a small marvel of clarity and a unique experience on the wrist. I love the beautifully executed indices and hands. A small detail that matters, I chose an older model with the gold winged Breitling logo, which enhances the dial and adds a touch of color to the center, which elevates the watch in my view. On the wrist, Breitling gives us a lesson in ergonomics with an incredibly comfortable strap, but this case also pairs very well with leather. The look on the strap is iconic though and the comfort makes it an ideal choice for everyday wear.

Equipped with a manufactured Mvt and COSC, a quality of finish ++ with a contained diameter of 41mm, a bracelet with a style known at Breitling but not very practical when it is necessary to remove or add a link, I regret the lack of readability of the dial depending on the reflections (why does Breitling insist on offering so few colors in this diameter?? 3 since its release in early 2022) despite the date well integrated into the counter at 6 o'clock and a water resistance that does the minimum, too bad! This is a beautiful iconic piece, which gives a serious nod to the Navitimers of the past.

I dreamed of having a Breitling Navitimer. I chose a new model because I wanted to have this 70-hour power reserve. I had the opportunity thanks to Godechot Pauliet to acquire this model. My choice was oriented towards the Breitling Navitimer B01 in 43 mm. It is equipped with a high-quality mechanical movement with automatic winding, the Breitling Caliber 01, which is entirely developed and manufactured by Breitling. This column chronograph movement is a guarantee of precision and reliability. This reliability is confirmed by a watchmaker that I follow on Instagram. The indexes, the hands with the luminova, the micro grooves in the sub-dials and the meticulousness of the calculation rules are all elements that give this watch a luxurious appearance. I love the B at the end of the red second hand on the chronograph and I am crazy about the black dial which sometimes has electric blue reflections. Note that it does not like water (3 atm) and on the other hand it is precise +1 to +2s per day. This design is more than 70 years old and this watch was a tool used for airline pilots. Beyond that, this watch is the favorite of my loved ones. A masterpiece !!!

We no longer present the Breitling Navitimer which must be one or even the flagship model of the brand. It has known many different models. With this 2022 chronograph, we find in addition to a manufacture caliber, the history of the first Navitimer with the AOPA logo. The measuring tools are perfectly set up. Even if the first Navitimers were in 46. This model 41 fits perfectly on small wrists and all the details are there!
