Seiko Presage Cocktail Owner Review : Fine, completed and charming

The Seiko Presage Cocktail (SRPE41J1) is a watch that has a certain reputation among us watch fans today, and for good reason. Whether it is its guilloché dial, its domed glass, or even the applied indexes, everything is aesthetically successful on this model, and the sun sublimates all these elements when you have fun with it. As for the caliber, a 4R35 powers the watch, it is neither the most renowned nor the most reliable, but it nevertheless remains solid on its supports with its 41 hours of power reserve, while allowing to offer a date indication at 3 o'clock. Of course the case back is transparent and allows to contemplate the "golden" oscillating weight, which remains in my opinion a little extra. To summarize in broad terms, this watch is superb for an original gift, although given the price compared to the integrated caliber, other models from Seiko (or competitors) will be more reliable and less capricious over time.
