I already found the cocktail series really beautiful with its different dials with effects, each one cooler than the other, but I had never taken the plunge, finding the watches a bit small for me.
But this Purple Sunset literally made me succumb! The gradients and reflections they offer are sumptuous, just like the slightly pink hands and indexes, as soon as the light hits this dial, it's a feast for the eyes!
I don't regret my choice at all for the moment, to see how it behaves over time :)

I had been eyeing this Seiko for months, and I couldn't afford it, because I was a student and had a low income. Limited edition, it completely disappears from sales websites once you have the means in your pocket. It was only during a completely random detour in a shopping mall that I came across a model on display in a store, and I left with it without hesitation. The Presage Cocktail range needs no introduction, but this is the limited "Houjou" model. The dial is simply captivating: this champagne shade, decorated with gold elements on both sides, is simply sublime and I can't stop contemplating it. The leather strap is of excellent quality, very comfortable and very aesthetic. It is a dress-oriented watch, but its diameter of 40.5 on my 16.5 wrist gives it a certain versatility. Indeed, I wear it quite regularly in a "casual" way (with reserved elegance, it is not a sports watch). A change of strap allows it to have this more casual look. It is one of those that I really wanted, and so I would certainly never part with it.

Between elegance and versatility

I really like the model. Being able to see the mechanism is something I really appreciate. The watch is of good quality and it is a pleasure to have it in my collection. 
This is my second Seiko and this brand is truly a favorite. 
The shiny leather strap is unusual at first but you get used to it quickly.

Seiko Presage Cocktail Time Star Bar Limited Edition

The Seiko Presage Blue Moon (REF SRPB41J1) is an accessible and elegant watch that will suit many wrists thanks to its contained diameter of 40.5 mm and its case with a thickness of 11.8 mm. Its dial is just sublime thanks to its guilloche finish which gives it a touch of personality.

My opinion on the Seiko Presage Blue Moon

This Seiko, released in spring 2022, is a very golden "limited" series (5,500 copies) from the Presage Cocktails collection. One of the first watches in my young collection. It is elegant, simple, effective. Its champagne dial has a very worked texture as Seiko knows how to do which plays the light with soft champagne shades that are quite light or more contrasted and golden depending on the light. The very clear indexes contrast with the textured dial. I am quite satisfied with it. But I wear it a little less than the other watches, maybe it is a little too flashy without being bling-bling, or a little too big. The brown leather strap with folding clasp is very practical. It is comfortable to wear and light.

All sunshine cocktail

Already having a Seiko 5 in my collection, I had wanted for some time to upgrade to the Seiko range and the absolutely hypnotizing design of this Seiko Presage Cocktail Time Mojito convinced me immediately. Its green dial that changes color depending on the tilt of the watch and the lighting is absolutely magnificent and reminds me of the atmosphere of Japanese films from the 80s, these golden hands and indexes emphasize the vintage side of the watch, as do the format of the case and the crown. The very simple dial makes its readability extremely fluid. Its transparent background is quite appreciable, even if the movement it reveals could have better precision (+10sec/day on mine). We also appreciate the golden oscillating weight that recalls the hands and the very nice leather strap. However, I prefer to wear it on a Milanese mesh which reinforces the vintage side.

Vintage Japanese style at its best

I would never have imagined one day wearing such a flashy watch, to make matters worse, it has a diameter of 40. But strangely, I like it a lot, and especially this dial background that Seiko knows how to master so well. The only small downside that is no longer today, was its bracelet, help!!!! I quickly replaced it, the same day with a very good quality lizard bracelet.

An elegant and pleasant watch to wear. Pleasant to wear, discreet and comfortable, it is perfect to accompany a suit for work or a light outfit for aperitif dinner. Following a dazzling success in Japan, production was relaunched to address the European market. From a personal point of view, this watch makes me want to read the time every 5 minutes.

Seiko Presage Sky Diving Cocktail Collection Watch

This watch has a mirror-polished steel case. This timepiece is characterized by its superb black sunray dial. The power reserve adds a touch of complexity. The date display is relatively original. The hands respond to the indexes. The oscillating weight of the movement, gold-colored, adds an additional touch of elegance. The crown is nicely logoed. This model, however, suffers from two negative points. First of all, it is necessary to point out the inevitable hesalite glass. However, it is above all the thickness of the case that will pose a problem for some, especially for a dress watch.

Espresso - Martini

My first automatic watch. When I started my collection, I fell in love with this model in the store. It absorbs and reflects light depending on the viewing angle and the ambient light. It has its flaws: the fragile glass and its slightly cheap leather strap! But it is this watch that made me dive back into the world of beautiful watches. It will always have a special place in my heart!

Radiant

I wanted to buy an affordable Japanese automatic watch. Who better than Seiko to satisfy my desires. So, I visited their site and there, it was love at first sight, the second my eyes crossed the photo of the Seiko Presage Cocktail and its green dial, its case with a sober but elegant design, its brown leather strap and its golden second hand which adds an interesting contrast to the whole.
I've been wearing it for more than two years and I'm still as captivated by the beauty of the dial that makes you look down at your wrist all the time. Besides, among the watches I own, the Presage is the one that has been complimented the most, both by my entourage and by complete strangers.

Japanese quality at a reasonable price

While I was walking quietly in Lyon, I stopped to discover the Seiko boutique, my gaze passed without emotion over the divers, when suddenly... I (re)discovered the Presage series, beyond the photos and videos on the internet: I immediately fell in love with this magnificent Seiko Cocktail "Blue Moon"! Its dial superbly catches the light, as do its polished indexes and hands; its little "bonus" that makes all its charm? The integration of the power reserve: both discreet and so readable, it is useful, practical, and brings a touch of dynamism wonderfully well integrated into the dial. Whatever the position of the watch, its readability is perfect, and it can sometimes offer a dark blue rendering, sometimes gray, sometimes black... while always offering this crazy readability. I love it!

A cocktail with the most beautiful effect

I am impressed by the value for money of this little marvel! 

It is a 3-piece box with a very simple but effective design. It has an automatic movement that can be admired through the transparent back. 

The ice-box allows a perfect view of the dial. It is engraved with shapes reminiscent of the glasses in which the "Negroni" is served. The decoration is covered with a red resin (?) which results in a gradient of intense depth. 

The even hours are represented by Arabic numerals and the odd hours by elongated trapezoids. 

Dauphine hands and a second hand with a decorated unbalance, all three steel-colored and polished, further contribute to the elegance of this timepiece. 

The strap is in dark red leatherette "which does the job", on the other hand, I love the folding clasp. At this price level, I expected a pin buckle! 

In short, a gem!

My first Seiko is a gem

This watch has a 38.5 mm mirror-polished steel case. The mix of indexes and numerals enhances the already beautifully sunburst dial, whose grainy texture I particularly appreciate. The crown is also very well crafted, which is quite rare on timepieces in this price range. Like many, I regret the mineral glass as well as the original bracelet, in Milanese mesh, but that does not detract from the beauty of this model.

Beautiful brunette

A good cocktail very often calls for a second one… and the Présage Cocktail series by Seiko is no exception to the rule.
So today I am offering you a double review, that of 2 watches as colorful and tasty as the universe they are inspired by.
A few months apart, I therefore acquired two models from the range, the SRPE43 with a blue dial and the SRPE47 with a pink dial.
Spotted as soon as their release was announced, I was definitely won over by the fitting.
First of all, the moderate dimensions (38.5 in diameter, 45 lug to lug and 12 thick) combined with a simple and rounded case provide balance and presence but also essential comfort for me.
The domed plexiglass offers superb reflections and a very particular visual warmth. The movement is a perfect proven tractor, adjustable and easily repairable.
Finally, the applied indexes and logo, the Arabic numerals font and the dauphine hands complete a delightfully retro aesthetic for my taste.
But naturally what makes this range both unique and charming are its incredibly crafted dials, available in a rich palette of colors, where everyone will find what they are looking for.
The geometric structure, formed by concentric spirals (finally something like that), is absolutely hypnotic and its realization is stunning for a watch positioned at the entry level at Seiko.
Each movement of the wrist gives rise to a play of light and reflections that is reminiscent of the kaleidoscopes of our childhood. I am under its spell.
For me, this watch is a little gem, whose exceptional dial (and I weigh my words) combined with a classic design (in the good sense of the term) make it a perfect watch that I would describe as casual chic.
So I initially fell for the blue dial, perhaps the most classic, offered by Seiko on navy blue cowhide leather equipped with a folding clasp, what more could you ask for! At 450 euros it is in my opinion one of the best offers on the market in the under 500 euro segment. A matter of taste, I quickly mounted it in a lighter leather for more contrast.
But there you go, appetite comes with eating and thirst for cocktails comes with tasting them, and a few months later, caught up in the fashion for pink/salmon dials, I finally decided to double down and acquire the limited version (5000 ex… upper limit!) inspired by Tequila Sunset.
On a Milanese strap for a summer style or on more chic brown leather, this piece now makes a wonderful duo with its little blue sister.
Without moderation, I therefore served myself a double dose of a range that I am still surprised not to see more often on the wrists, so much is its excellent quality/price ratio indisputable.

• If you like worked cases
• If a basic movement bores you

The twin sisters

This watch is the one that is closest to my heart in my collection! It is not the most expensive, it is not the rarest but it is mine! 
Before being passionate about watchmaking, I was passionate about the Japanese world. Manga, anime, and many other things. However, over time, this passion faded until it became almost absent in my life. Why? Because the passion for watchmaking came to replace it! 
But I had to pay a last tribute to my old passion that followed me from primary school to high school...so what could be better than a Seiko that also comes from Japan!

My Seiko Cocktail Time is unique in my eyes

The Seiko Presage Cocktail (SRPE41J1) is a watch that has a certain reputation among us watch fans today, and for good reason.
Whether it is its guilloché dial, its domed glass, or even the applied indexes, everything is aesthetically successful on this model, and the sun sublimates all these elements when you have fun with it.
As for the caliber, a 4R35 powers the watch, it is neither the most renowned nor the most reliable, but it nevertheless remains solid on its supports with its 41 hours of power reserve, while allowing to offer a date indication at 3 o'clock.
Of course the case back is transparent and allows to contemplate the "golden" oscillating weight, which remains in my opinion a little extra.

To summarize in broad terms, this watch is superb for an original gift, although given the price compared to the integrated caliber, other models from Seiko (or competitors) will be more reliable and less capricious over time.

A surprising cocktail!

This watch was my first and I still wear it with the same pleasure and regularity as at the beginning. This Seiko has everything of an extraordinary watch: a brand with a history, a historical range, a movement specific to the brand. Not to mention its incredible aesthetics: thanks to its diameter for all wrists (40), a thin case, an adaptation as a dress watch or daily and what to say about its splendid sunray dial. This watch is extraordinary because of its quality/price ratio and deserves to be in every collection

Avis Seiko blue Moon cocktail 

This Seiko Presage Coktail is dressed in a sunburst sky blue background and a black leather strap enhanced with blue stitching.
It is equipped with a 6RI5C movement.
I have owned it for about 10 years. It is elegant and very discreet. Small point to note, it seems that the new identical Presage Coktails no longer have the same movement, they have a 4R35 movement and the inscription on the dial "Présage automatic" has replaced the inscription "automatic 23 jewels".



Un Blue Lagoon svp

It was with her that I took my first steps in mechanical watchmaking, and it was she who gave me watch fever. She is sumptuous! Sometimes dark, sometimes bright, after 2 years of ownership I cannot describe the color precisely as it changes depending on the light. The polished faceted indexes are sublime, particularly when it is dark and a few rays of light come to make them shine in the middle of a midnight blue or even abyssal smoked dial. Let's quickly move on to the flaws that are quickly forgotten, the hardlex glass which is unfortunately scratchable and the 4r35 movement which is neither the noblest nor the most precise of movements but which has the advantage of being extremely easy to maintain. Let's get back to the good points with the date which is superbly well integrated into the dial, the proportions of the case 40.3mm in diameter and 11.2mm in thickness measured, perfect proposals for a beginner who wants a chic watch that has a nice presence on the wrist without being ostentatious. The mirror-polished case and the domed glass accentuate the dressy side of this timepiece. The bracelet is sober and elegant in addition to being of acceptable quality and comfort. The crown marked with the Seiko S logo is pretty and easy to handle. For this price, this little Seiko Presage Cocktail Bluemoon is the perfect solution for maximum emotion!!

I never get the blues with my Bluemoon

This SEIKO Presage Blue Moon was, when it came out, a watch that I immediately liked with its beautiful dial. But, there was something that stopped me from buying it, without knowing exactly what. Buying a watch just for a dial......!! At €419, I always found better in the vintage market, and so I always put off buying it until later. And then one day, last year, a jewelry store in my city was selling off all its watches because it was closed for renovations. And there was a Blue Moon displayed at €249. Well, fate being against me, I bought the SEIKO, the investment being very measured. And it was when I got home that I understood what had made me hesitate in the past. There, I was no longer in the euphoria of the purchase, but in reflection mode. And I realized that I found this watch too big for a dress-watch. 40.5 cm in diameter seems standard, but the crown is too thick, a lack of harmony for my taste..... Anyway, it leaves me wanting more. Too bad, because the dial is beautiful, the finishes are correct, the precision is average, and the bracelet is comfortable (but also very big: it hardly tapers at the buckle). As a result, I have only worn this watch twice. I am keeping it because I do not sell my watches, but it is not my favorite SEIKO in my collection.
