This watch is much more than an accessory: it has become an extension of my being, as if, in two years, it had merged with my DNA. Time has allowed me to take a step back, and today, after two years on its wrist, I can honestly say that it has never disappointed me. You may find it hard to believe, but it has not caused me any weariness or disappointment. Like many, I was afraid to part with it, but I assure you: I still contemplate it with the same fascination as on the first day.

Its only flaw, if we can call it that, lies in changing the strap, an ordeal that is almost a feat. I ended up opting for a versatile strap, better suited to my changing desires. As for the original strap, of sublime beauty, it is so complex to remove that it has found refuge in its box, reserved for exceptional occasions.

The brand Serica was created in 2019 by J&eacute;r&ocirc;me Burget and 3 friends in Paris, France. The name Serica comes from a lost region at the end of the Far East that the Greeks and Romans named it like this. Well this is not my first watch far from it, nor my first diver, on the other hand a watch that gives me so much pleasure, this has rarely happened, and yet I love my watches ;) I will not give the specs again it is useless because you must already know them if you pass by here, on the other hand what I can tell you is that despite these 39mm on my 21.5cm wrist and well it is not at all ridiculous. it is a bodybuilder with finishes worthy of the greats. I took it with the Newton as caliber, because I have no doubt that in 30 years it will be a collector's item. ;) Otherwise it is really very pleasant to wear despite the knack that you have to take to put on the bracelet, on the other hand this bracelet is really great because depending on the heat of the cold the setting is a delight, a kind of micro adjustment. This Mi GMT MI Diver bezel is ideal for me because I set it to the time zone of my best friend in Melbourne, it's super practical. A real diver and a real brand that I think will go far.

53-03 The Purist

This is not my first watch and this Serica is by far the most technical and the most "friendly" that I have had. So yes it is not a Sub, yes it is not an SM300 but what character, everything has been thought of for efficiency and in a disconcerting simplicity!
It is possible to wear it with any type of bracelet and it adapts to almost all wrist sizes, mine being 19.5
Thanks to Serica it gives me back the joy of being an enthusiast, unlike all this market of investors .....
And to finish this deep blue enamel dial and this sea green bezel, it is an absolute beauty

Finally a return to the real tool watch

This brand had been catching my eye for a while, this mix of vintage-looking watches, combining robustness and precision, this second skin exceeds all my expectations of pleasure, no big logo or a huge name on the dial. Not forgetting the COSC certification, so if you want a watch with good value for money, this is the model! The original strap gives it this very comfortable dress watch look.

MA 5303

Gift for my 32nd birthday, this diver caught my eye when it appeared on watch forums and this desire to acquire it was amplified when I was able to try it at the Horel boutique in Bordeaux. I like its look, its hands, the color of the dial and the bezel that change color depending on the light, the fact that the brand name is not ostentatious, its screw-down crown very easy to use, its robustness, its Soprod M100 COSC caliber very well adjusted, its chamfers, ... a lot of positive points. Many watch lovers stop me at the store to look at it more closely and even try it on. I had a little more trouble with the Milanese mesh strap provided by the brand that I replaced with a sailcloth effect strap with folding clasp from the ARTEM STRAPS brand in Australia. Much quicker to put on. Perfect for this summer.

Another Serica. Another beautiful watch. Always the same lemonade from our friends at Serica, No pale copies, some inspiration here and there (Omega, Tudor, Rolex...). A host of details, always the decision not to put a date. The bracelet is still very finely adjusted (with a little time to adapt.... In short, we are starting to get the hang of them at Serica, we wonder why this micro brand did not come into the world earlier.

Has dethroned the most legendary models in my collection. The watch, the bracelet (and its comfort when worn). And its price which keeps away our wrist-cutting friends makes it the perfect watch... sporty or dressy, we wear it on any occasion. Frankly a versatile watch and an absolute must-have

The Queen Killer

Where to start and how to be concise with this piece? Come on, I'll start.
First of all, I gave myself a few months before writing this review, because I was afraid of being in a "honeymoon" with this watch and not being objective enough. 4 months later I'm still in the clouds.

The proportions of the case (39 mm in diameter for 46.5 mm between lugs and 12.2 mm thick) are perfect, even for big wrists like me (19.5 cm) and the polished and brushed finishes, both circular or linear, especially on the lugs, are done with crazy accuracy.
The large screw-down crown and the wide double bezel (ceramic/steel insert) bring the little muscular side, which this diver needs.
And this crystalline blue, which gives its name to this watch, is magnificent. Sometimes gray, blue or green, it is resolutely modern and retro at the same time or "faded" or even "aged in the sun".
The Broad Arrow hands and the soft iron cage that makes this watch antimagnetic completely contribute to reinforcing the vintage side.
The midnight blue enamel dial is my only downside. Not that it is not beautiful, quite the contrary, it is bright and unique, but for me, it is simply not midnight blue. It is almost black and actually tends towards a deep midnight blue in the sun.
If you are specifically looking for a watch with a blue dial then this is not the one, I think it is important to say that.
I will finish by talking about the 20-16mm woven steel bracelet (it is not really a Milanese mesh for me) with "endlink" for which you have to "get the hang of it" but which is ultra-comfortable and allows a very fine adjustment that is so pleasant. The buckle, it matches the Serica logo (absent from the dial) and does it justice perfectly.

Oh, I almost forgot to say that the Soprod M100 movement is COSC certified and that the accuracy of the watch is rechecked by Serica once assembled. Mine has a drift of 1-2sec over 7 days.

I have to end with the famous quality/price/emotion ratio because having all this for €1,490 is just crazy.
And if you've gotten this far (yes, I tried to be brief) then I ask you the question I ask myself all the time when I wear this watch:
This watch with its finishes, its technical specs and the emotion it conveys would be at what price if it were from another major SwissMade brand? Double? Triple?


Serica 5303-3 COSC: Already a cult?

Very happy to present this magnificent watch that has the face of no other. I was looking for a versatile watch without copying another, it's all found with this Serica. 

Apart from its aesthetics, the strong point of this watch are its specs, COSC, antimagnetic, 300m, all in reasonable proportions even for my chicken wrist. 

It is a watch that I wear as well in a suit, casual outfit, at the pool or in the forest to pick mushrooms. 

The only slightly disappointing point is its brightness which fades quickly, but being rarely at a depth of 30m, it is not a problem on a daily basis. 
Also, the bracelet is quite complex to put on the first few days, but is very comfortable to wear. 

Serica offers the option of the crown on the left, a little extra touch of originality in addition to bringing a lot of comfort to this watch. 

This watch is, in my opinion, a great success and I can only recommend it to you.



Sexy and technical

My third big watch crush.

The inspirations that forged this design of this watch are felt, yet it does not resemble any other. A fairly recent model but which seems to have always existed. Serica are very good at that and even more so on this model.

So much fan that I think of doubling it in its blue version for a more summery look, Hawaiian shirt of circumstance!

PS: Don't be afraid to change the strap.

What else can I say about this Serica 
First of all the one-click bezel of unmatched flexibility with a steel ceramic marriage 
It can be used in GMT mode with this two-part bezel, it is finely thought out by a designer like Jérôme who has hit the nail on the head, he is strong 👍
A flattened Milanese mesh bracelet of incredible flexibility, tailored to the size, no problem for chicken wrists or more Thanos versions 
The dial which uses the same lacquer as the 4512 plus the B-road arrow hour hand, a very beautiful diver at a reasonable price which is now cosy
Only one downside is the crown which sometimes plays up a bit

Serica dives in chic fashion

I had it in mind for over a year, and after taking the time to think about it and putting aside my savings, I was able to celebrate my 35th birthday with it.
Improved compared to the first version, I was able to discover it at the Paris boutique, and there, I fell in love.
The size and finishes of the case, the color of this dual-function bezel as well as the dial with a beautiful depth made me more than convinced to fall for this watch. The discovery of the bracelet was also a nice surprise, even if I wear it regularly in the tropics, compared to my daily style. But when I put the steel back on with this tight mesh, for a more elegant moment, the effect is guaranteed.
The movement is very precise as announced which is very pleasant.
I recommend it to any diving enthusiast who wants a different style from the ordinary.


Serica 5303-3 ban

After hesitating for a long time between several models of divers (the C-1000 from ollech & wajs, the no bat from akrone, the yema superman with the manufacture movement) I finally fell for this serica 5303-3 with its "crystalline blue" ceramic bezel and its woven steel bracelet which really gives it its personality which made the difference in my final choice.
It is pleasant to wear thanks to the comfortable bracelet and is even forgotten on the wrist. It goes with many different outfits.
I have had it for less than a year but I really do not regret my choice.

Serica 5303-3 PREVENTION 

Seeing this watch through the internet reviews I was more and more tempted to buy it. But not knowing this brand I hesitated because I must admit I am like a certain number of people unfortunately influenced by marketing .... I finally listened to my heart and I ordered it ... and what a shock! The favorite was entrusted by 1000 .... the videos do not do justice to the beauty, the originality and the quality of manufacture of the watch ... I see nothing negative to say about this timepiece except maybe just a little knack to take to put on the bracelet. Bracelet which is also very comfortable. This watch is unlike any other in the good sense of the term. For future buyers you will not be disappointed

Out of the ordinary

A balanced watch, with ideal proportions. Versatile, precise, full of details while being discreet, it refers to the past while not falling into caricature (falsely aged indexes, copy/paste design, etc.). In addition, it goes wonderfully with all kinds of bracelets to be able to vary the pleasures.

An innovative design, here in its blue version… The blue-black of the abyssal depths.

The finishes are top notch, original double graduation bezel, brushed case with large polished and plunging chamfers on the horns, fine mesh bracelet with brushed end pieces that ensure comfort when worn and beautiful integration, large crown as practical as it is aesthetic.

In short, full of details, this watch with an innovative design exudes quality and modernity, while retaining its diver's toolwatch DNA.

Serica 5303 PREVENTION

Knowing the micro brand Serica through articles and videos on the internet.
But it was while accompanying a friend who was looking for his Serica Field California on rue Turenne at the end of July 2023 that I was able to look closely and test on the wrist the different models of the Serica collection available in store, moreover we were very well received by Nicolas.
I was not specifically looking for a watch, but the Serica GMT and divers immediately seduced me, with their 39 mm diameters it is the ideal size for me.

I tested the Field, the GMT and the diver, the last two are very pretty.
At the time the Serica divers were not yet COSC certified, but I already appreciate the watch on the display. A diver different from the other divers we are used to seeing.
The model available in store was the version with black dial (5303-1).
Put on my wrist, I appreciate it enormously. There are many details that I love.

- Like the sublime double bicolor bezel with ceramic insert with a double hour/minute graduation.
- No date on the dial, it doesn't bother me at all, there is a perfect symmetry on the dial and you don't need to set the date when wearing the watch.
- Beautiful lacquered "broad arrow" hands that are very readable.
- Satellite indexes that fill the dial nicely.
- The brand name is discreetly placed at six o'clock, which is very original.
-The Milanese-style woven strap is comfortable, a grip to attach the strap is necessary 😊

Not to mention the codes of diving watches:
- A large screw-down crown,
- A rotating bezel, solid case back,
- Water-resistant to a depth of more than 200m (300m for this watch) to wash the dishes in peace 😊 )

I didn't have a diving watch in my collection and wasn't looking for one at the time either. But this Serica had mesmerized me.

I was told that the COSC version would be released in September and that I could pre-order in July.

At home I found out a little more about Serica and saw that there was the crystal blue version of the diver (5303-3) which is even prettier and more original than the black version (personal opinion of course).

After 2 weeks of thinking about it, I decided to pre-order the watch in August.
Unfortunately I missed the pre-order wave that closed at the end of July.

I had to wait until September to pre-order and receive the watch in December.

The 5-month wait is worth it because the watch received in store is magnificent

Serica 5303-3 prevents bleu crystallin

The lens of the bezel was the trigger for my purchase. I had not been able to try it before receiving it but when it arrived its details made me addicted. Its bracelet, its chamfers breathe quality. It has not left my wrist since its purchase, my other watches are jealous!

Stealthy like the S617 and as black as the black pearl, this 5303 has charm. Its atypical design is inspired by great achievements (Seamaster 300), yet it seems unique. The finish is excellent. The Soprod Newton movement is precise (-2 to -4s/d). The only downside is the handling of the crown which could be improved.

Serica 5303: From the Bold to the Black Pearl

What a slap when you open a Serica case for the first time. For me it's the second time, because I already own a field watch from the brand, the 4512. It feels like discovering a model that has existed since the 50s while being in love with modernity. The finishes are impeccable. The COSC certificate is a guarantee of technical quality even if between you and me it's the last of my worries because when I want precision, I have quartz models! The Milanese mesh is pleasant to wear, the watch is forgotten because although present on the wrist, it does not weigh too much! Comfort on the wrist, technical elegance, at a reasonable price... what more could you ask for? A classic for sure.

Instant classic

Here is my 5303 black bezel version, bought on site rue Chapon in December 2022 with a very pleasant welcome from the two founders.
The watch is for me a great success, design, proportion and the bracelet which greatly contributes to its personality.
Extremely pleasant to wear and on all occasions.
Unfortunately, a big negative point like many, I encountered a problem with the Newton soprod movement after a few months... Indeed, the power reserve was almost non-existent +/- 10 hours!!
Sent to the after-sales service and returned the watch a month later with the movement replaced...
