Why customers love Squale?

An unusual diving watch from the late 60s, early 70s, made by Squale and sold under the Oscar brand. The case is made of steel and is called C shape (round shape) and measures 40mm in diameter excluding the crown for 12mm in thickness, which brings a nice presence to the wrist. There are 2 crowns including the bottom one which operates the white internal bezel. The case could be similar to that of a supercompressor but this case was not designed by EPSA. The water resistance is given here for 20Atm. I find the watch aesthetically very beautiful, with a very nice harmony of colors typical of the 70s. The bakelite bezel is magnificent and has kept a very bright orange, The dial has a really very successful sunburst gray capable of turning from light gray to dark gray. The applied indexes are worked. The dial and hands have acquired a harmonious patina. Inside we find an ETA 2873 that beats at 21600bph as well as a fast date. An essential piece for vintage 70s aficinados…

It was supposed to be my 40th birthday present. I bought it because I wanted a watch that ticked several boxes. First, I wanted a historic micro brand. Then I wanted something that stood out from current watches that more or less followed a trend. And finally, a ceramic bezel to complete the bling-bling look but not too much. I had been watching the Squale brand for some time and I find their history really interesting for the innovations that the Von Bühren were able to develop for other brands and then their own. And the brand's legacy to loyal and respected resellers by the founders was important to me. And so I see this 1545 which remains the most affordable option I think at Squale. I had an immediate crush when I saw the white and gold so harmonious. I waited a little before receiving it and what a crazy effect it had on me when I saw it in real life. The 39 mm diameter is perfect especially with a rather massive but so qualitative bracelet. I can't find any fault with it and so many details that are perfect! The railroad indexes at 3 6 9 and 12 o'clock are a little wider and orange, magnificent. The baton indexes of 6 9 and 12 and the other round ones circled with gold PVD are very shiny at night and the brushed real also supports its technical side because it is waterproof to 300 meters! The small red seal at the base of the signed crown recalls the historical side of the brand. Oh yes, the only small fault that I would find is that the date window could have been circled in gold too ^^

The history of the Squale brand associated with this limited series of 50 pieces, make this 1521 Montredo X Squale a super endearing diver. This version brings to the 1521 a more urban and sober touch, while retaining the toolwatch DNA of the original. Very nice success !!! To wear in relaxed weekend mode 👌

Discovered by chance on YouTube, I was immediately impressed by the characteristics of this watch. Waterproof 500 meters, Swiss made, a case with a sandblasted finish of the most beautiful effect and so on, all for less than 1000 euros. I ended up cracking and I was even more surprised when I received it and I was able to realize the quality of the finishes. A great diver with a vintage look that stands out from the others and that can be worn on lots of bracelets, the pretty leather on which it is delivered (and a buckle works !!), a nato, a rubber (Orange that snaps with the needle!).

I was looking for an original diver, this Squale meets all my criteria. I wanted a diver with great readability, a Swiss movement, all with an excellent quality-price ratio. This Squale is a real pleasure to wear! The luminova is powerful, but it does not prevent you from sleeping at night, it is a good point for me. I love the orange indexes, which in my eyes, gives it a little "fun" side. In addition, the black hands are readable in the middle of the night. In the end, a superb watch...

This magnificent Squale was released in a limited edition for the brand's 60th anniversary. It is the Squale 30 ATMOS Tono-Argento. Squale was the subcontractor of many established brands for the manufacture of their cases, such as Tag Hueur, Douane, Doxa and even... Blancpain. We understand better why this 30 ATMOS looks so much like the Fifty-Fathoms. Its dial is smoked and sunrayed. Its anti-reflective sapphire crystal is domed, creating a charming visual distortion on its periphery. The hands and indexes are covered with Super-Luminova "Old Radium"... the vintage effect is very successful, at the expense of the brilliance of the luminescence which is a little dull. With its 40mm diameter (overflowing bezel) and 12mm thickness, it has contained dimensions. The bezel insert is made of sapphire crystal. The case and lugs are particularly elegant. The patinated leather strap is a total success. Water-resistant to 300 meters and equipped with an elaborate Selitta SW200-1, it is a diving watch full of charm and style. It was produced in only 75 copies and remains now impossible to find.

The 1521 ocean cosc is a concentrate of expertise and know-how in scuba diving watches. It offers all the qualities expected to be safe under blue waters. Little known although endowed with a very rich history and a glorious past, Squale Italian brand passed to Swiss Made delivers here a very beautiful diver in 40 MM, waterproof to 30 ATM, Swiss calibrated (Sellita) and all for less than 800 euros. The date is well integrated, a good big crown, a little red to brighten it all up: shall I give it to you?

Squale is a historic brand established in Switzerland that has manufactured the cases of many renowned brands: Blancpain, Tag Heuer, Doxa... This Atmos 50 1521 Onda Azzurro Black borrows the most classic case from Squale, which is characterized by a semi-hexagonal shape, a crown at 4 o'clock in the style of Seiko's Turtles, a water resistance of 500m, and a thick, slightly curved flange in which the indexes are reflected, giving the impression that the flat sapphire crystal is domed. The Onda Azzurro with black bezel is a limited series that was only available at Gnomon at a price of around €900. With its fully mirror-polished case and shiny indexes, it has an assumed bling bling side, but nevertheless attenuated by the poetry of its textured dial reproducing stylized waves in blue from the southern seas. Despite its sporty look, its 41.5 mm diameter and 13 mm thickness, it can be worn very well in any circumstance, casual or business. Equipped with an indestructible ETA 2824-2, it is one of the most beautiful pieces of my blue dial watches.

As soon as I saw it I flashed I had to have it. Beautiful like the Millsub of the 60's and then Squale has the legitimacy to pay homage. Its almost radium indexes, its sapphire dome beautiful like a chimney plexi but resistant, its polished-brushed and its chamfering like a great brand. It breathes robustness, its 2824 is worth the brand on the crown, it goes down to 200m so you can dive which I would never dare to do with a real vintage. In short it is essential especially with its aluminum bezel it remains unknown and rare because it is the ceramic that makes it sell a little afterwards. Its only flaw is to have a date but it had the good taste not to put a cyclops. I tell you it is almost perfect.
