TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Owner Review : Sporty, chic and versatile

My first TAG Heuer and I set my sights on the Carrera Calibre heuer 01 model. I had wanted to buy it for a while, having been immediately won over by the very chic and sporty look and at the same time very contemporary of this chronograph. I hesitated for a long time with the skeleton version but I finally opted for the full black dial version, with its superb micro-perforated black rubber strap with a design that is also very modern, in addition to being incredibly comfortable, and so practical with its folding clasp. What can I say except that it is fine watchmaking made with care and without fault, the ceramic bezel is superb with the gray tachymeter scale, the 43mm case is entirely brushed except for the ends of the horns, all equipped with a domed sapphire crystal. Note that the transparent back is also made of sapphire crystal. Transparent caseback revealing the manufacture chronograph movement, the Heuer 01 caliber, equipped with a visible red column wheel, and a black oscillating weight of the most beautiful effect. Offering a comfortable power reserve of 50 hours, and equipped with a balance wheel oscillating at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), 39 jewels, this caliber is very reliable and efficient. Only small downside, the thickness of the watch which is 16 mm, I would have liked one or two millimeters less. This TAG Heuer really respects the codes of the brand, namely car racing, with this little touch of red here and there on the dial and on the chronograph hands, the whole thing is in very nice contrast with the black and steel, it is a complete visual success, for me in any case, it is everything I like in a watch.
