Here, I wanted a discreet and old Rolex, without the wart on the sapphire and without a date too;
I lost my parents in 2021 due to covid 19 and with the inheritance money, I was able to treat myself.
So I bought this Rolex air king precision 14000 from 1990 and I bought it from a well-known AD (Maier in Lyon) so I'm sure it's not fake. I love its champagne dial, these little stick indexes and above all it is almost all in polished steel, a size of 34 mm (I love small sizes). It is very comfortable to wear because it is quite light.

I always wanted a Yema superman, when I learned that they were going to release it with a "manufacture" movement, it told me biennial launch was on Kickstarter but as I prefer human contact I went to my AD in Lyon to order it.
Ordered mid-February and received at the end of September, a little long but hey.
Once the box was opened (the case is great but hey, it's just a box), I found it magnificent (it's true that photos are always a little misleading).
The only small flaw is perhaps the bracelet which is a little rigid.

As previously posted on another review of my vintage Yema, I found this Omega Seamaster 30 manual winding on the Belgian site Sometimes (really excellent), it is from 1964 (so my age).
It has a manual caliber 286 and the ref: 135-003. Movement ref: 21069599.
It is gold plated and has a diameter of 34 mm excluding crown.
Handmade bracelet of very good quality.
Otherwise, sorry for the photos, I lent my macro nikkor 60 mm and I took the photos with a phone.

The watch (with my Yema too) from my sixtieth birthday.

At the beginning of March, knowing that my 60th birthday was coming (August 2nd), I said to myself, why not a watch from 1964 or close to it, in short from the 60s.
So I searched on forums, internet, word of mouth for an early French watch if possible and given the production at the time, I had to find one.
So it was on a Belgian site that I found it; the site; sometimes and it's this Yema automatic with a Swiss ETA caliber.
The site, super serious, watch ordered on a Sunday, received the following Wednesday.
I opened the package, super serious and it is MAGNIFICENT .....
Then I put it aside and opened it again on August 2nd for my 60th birthday.

This LOV, what can I say, is for me a popular watch, it is one of the watches of my grandfather who was a caretaker of a public primary school in Lyon Vaise, he used it every day to work, with hyper physical activities at the time like putting into service the coal boiler of the school and it was done at the time without any machinery only with a shovel and sweat. Then it remained at least more than 30 years in a drawer and after the death of my parents, I discovered it, well damaged. I took it to my local watchmaker, a Plexiglas revision to change as well as the crown which had taken a shot and roll my hen, it left again immediately.

Sober, classic, reliable and I like all-steel watches, it's not flashy, I wanted a first Swiss watch, for me, I think I made the right choice, it's not Bing bling and can also be worn every day but hey, given my job, it's not really the case, it's a GMT not too visible not like all these GMTs with their multi-colored bezels like its sister the Black Bay GMT or its cousins from Rolex and knowing me, I keep everything, so not about to resell it, that's it, I'm not a big talker and even less a great writer.

My first Swiss

This watch is my first watch from a well-known watch brand and I don't regret it at all. It has followed me everywhere since I bought it and I have no complaints. The accuracy is excellent, I haven't had to reset my watch for over 3 months. Some people judge the thickness of the model but once on the wrist, it's not shocking at all! It fits easily under a shirt.

La daily watch par excellence

My first watch that exceeds 4000e, I had to save this time ;)! But what a pleasure to have it on my wrist, yes despite its thickness once on my wrist I forget its size.
It makes me want to wear it whatever the situation, working day and night I sometimes use this 24h mode. I look at this watch between the bezel, the dial, the crown everything is homogeneous, this yellow hand that stands out from the black dial, its Manufacture caliber MT5652 (COSC), a reliability to all tests.
With your eyes closed, you need this watch at home!!!

My TUDOR BLACK BAY PRO

The black bay pro... A watch loved when it came out, many were skeptical about its thickness, but no. So yes, it is thick, despite all the comfort on the wrist is present and its thickness disappears as you wear it.

I bought it to have the GMT function, I live in Canada while being French. Also, it closes the chapter of years of study.

I had it on his nato, a nato of good quality but not being a fan of nato, I had to buy a few other bracelets. I recommend the president bracelet from Uncle strap, very comfortable with its short links, but without T-fit.
I also recommend the port Louis bracelet from Avel and Men, the yellow is identical.

A watch full of personality

As a GMT and "tool" watch enthusiast, I was initially going for an Explorer II, and I was also able to try the 226570 at the same time as the Black Bay Pro (BB Pro)! Despite the availability of the Rolex, I only had eyes for the crown keeper.
I appreciate this BB Pro first and foremost for its bezel, whose satin finish is very beautifully crafted. This bezel highlights a matte dial that oscillates between anthracite gray and black. It highlights studs made of a kind of ceramic and well-integrated snowflake hands. Obviously, the orange-yellow GMT hand energizes the design without overdoing it. The cream shade of the studs and hands brings a slightly vintage touch. Visibility is excellent during the day and the luminova is super powerful. Everything is enhanced by a domed sapphire crystal that gives beautiful distortions.
The bracelet would have been more elegant without its rivets, but it is very comfortable! The "on the fly" adjustment system of the clasp of this BB pro is amazingly simple and effective. Besides, I like to change my strap regularly, I never considered it for this BB Pro.
It is not a thin watch, I grant you, but when worn it is not shocking, especially thanks to harmonious proportions, a contained diameter of 39mm and an oversized signed crown; finally a mirror polish on the edge and fine chamfers finish off lightening the whole. She is an adventurer, she likes military shirts with rolled up sleeves; rest assured, a simple swimsuit is enough for her because she also enjoys swimming with its 200m water resistance.
The "true GMT" caliber MT5652 (COSC) is very precise and easy to use.
Ultimately, this BB pro is an efficient and comfortable watch that makes me smile every time I see that GMT hand set to the time zone of a city where I've had so many great times.

A GMT armed for adventure!

Another desire for a second time zone but which does not look like a GMT Master. I appreciate the hyper readability and warmth of this dial, with this very light and subtle patina of the ceramic indexes. The snowflake yellow GMT hand tipped the balance. Color is life! A watch with a very nice presence on the wrist even if it is a little plump, it must be admitted. 1mm or 2mm less thickness would have been welcome. But it's okay... The sunray brushed finish of the 24-hour bezel is remarkable. A diameter of 39mm, nicely chamfered horns, a nicely sized crown and a Manufacture MT5652 COSC caliber complete the whole thing. Another nice move from Tudor with a well-positioned price. Something you can't find in its big sister anymore.

I have long wanted a Rolex Explorer II, but this watch has all the qualities in my opinion, and I am always happy to wear it.
I bought it with a well-finished metal bracelet, but whose rivets I did not like too much, and which I replaced with a Nato which I find suits it very well.
It is a watch that can follow you everywhere, in town as well as on a walk, and that I often take on the weekend when I need a versatile watch that can withstand bad treatment...

The perfect day watch

Being young and practicing a lot of sports, sometimes extreme, and a fan of traveling, I needed a robust, precise, discreet watch with a GMT function. From there, in a budget of about €10,000 I had three watches in mind: the Rolex Explorer II ref. 216570, the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M GMT in 43.5mm, then the outsider, this famous Tudor Black Bay Pro. So I left, at the time for the first time at Harits1870. I was 16 years old and despite the shorts and the t-shirt I was extremely well received, the Speedmaster that I had on my wrist had caught the eye of the saleswoman... The three watches were in stock, and the first to be eliminated was the Omega, much too big for me. The second was the Rolex, its 100m of waterproofness seemed insufficient to me, in fact, I was going to practice water sports with my watch. So, to my great surprise, I turned to this Tudor which was worth half the price of the other two. On the wrist it was a revelation.
Since then, this watch follows me almost daily, arousing the jealousy of my other watches which remain in the safe. And suffice to say that I do not make life easy for it, it follows me on every sports session: trail, sometimes extreme hikes, road biking, bodybuilding, swimming, diving, a few impromptu rugby matches with friends, etc... Although it is really not the best for a mechanical watch, and its case has quite a few scars, it does wonderfully. Its precision is still as good as the first day (it remains within the COSC standards on the chrono-comparator!), it just seems to me that the rotor bearing dedicated to winding the watch is a little tired, but it doesn't shock me, it's even normal given what I put it through (but it's a professional watch after all). So I planned this year, after 3 years of extreme use to take it for servicing (but not polishing!), remains to be seen the verdict. 
Despite being one of the least expensive, it is without a doubt my favorite watch in my collection as it has followed me everywhere, and given the number of memories I have with it (I'm thinking of this big scratch on the bezel due to a stone it ate on an off-road rally!). This is the last watch in my collection that I will sell. I must admit, however, that the thinness of the Explorer II still catches my eye, it is its big flaw in this BB Pro, its thickness. It also has the lack of a quick date as a flaw, but given how often I reset the watch (never), it is a minor flaw. From a comfort point of view, despite being a bit heavy, it is rather positive. But I still recommend taking the NATO (of rare quality) in addition to the steel bracelet. The latter is one of the best on the market, the quick adjustment is great! However, I find that these fake rivets are too much, Tudor customers have been reporting it for years, but despite this they continue to put them... Finally, the flaw of this watch is that they tried to pay homage to the Rolex 1655 when it was not necessary. But despite everything, if you have a taste for adventure, this is THE watch you need. Its few flaws are minor compared to the quality and robustness of this one; you will go to the ends of the earth with this watch on your wrist!

La Toolwatch ultime.

One day I had this crazy idea that I could end up stranded on a desert island while I was enjoying a beautiful cruise on a dream liner. The ship sank in a few minutes, I was the only survivor and I floated and drifted for several days on a lifeboat to end up on a desert island.
What watch should you have on your wrist in this kind of situation?.... Typically, this BB Pro!
Waterproof and robust to withstand this shipwreck, precise and reliable to be able to count on it in difficult survival conditions, dual time zone to evaluate its position on the globe by comparing itself to the sun (second time zone - yellow hand - set to the departure location to know what time it is at home and main time zone set to the arrival location to have the local time once there).
A particularly appreciable comfort when worn as in terms of readability day and night, impeccable finishes, a real perceived quality, a very appreciable sobriety that makes it discreet, it is always appreciable in these times.
Everything is designed in this watch to offer the owner a durable product that can be trusted everywhere and all the time. And what's more, it is beautiful!
Its only flaw I find, for a watch that does everything, the lack of protection of the crown. Will the evolutions of this model equip it with a crown protector without distorting the TUDOR Black Bay style?....

What if I had to keep just one?...
