What would a collection be without a diver? What would a collection be without a toolwatch? What would a collection be without a robust watch, that can be worn every day, that can be discreet when necessary but can also be flashy? If I had to look for a watch for each category, I would be ruined and I would not know where to start… while my Tag Heuer Aquaracer succeeds in the challenge of ticking all these boxes! And much more! I am not afraid to wear it every day, I spend a certain amount of time at the sea and it accompanies me there, and, big positive point, it can change its look completely by alternating the different bracelets! The nato suits it perfectly, the tropic makes it vintage, a leather gives it an adventurer look, and on the original steel bracelet it is beautiful and simple. In short, an all-in-one watch, surely the one I wear most often, at a reasonable price, and which has more than one string to its bow!

Tag Heuer Aquaracer 300m, all in one!

I have always been a big fan of Breitling watches, the Navitimer is in my eyes one of the most iconic watches there is… but I quickly had to get used to the idea that the vast majority of Breitling productions were of a diameter far too imposing for my small wrists… I had to mourn… until I came across this little gem! A superb example from the 60s, in solid gold, with magnificent guilloché work on the cream dial, gold hands too, a Bydinator movement (one of the first rotors to be able to move freely in both directions of rotation), and, the cherry on the cake, a diameter of 34mm! It runs like a modern clock, lasts a little less than 40 hours, and dresses the wrist both discreetly due to its small size, but it has a real presence and crazy class. Old-fashioned charm. For this watch I also went through a whole range of different straps, fine leathers (16mm), others more classic in 18mm (the watch has an atypical lug width of 17mm, which leaves the possibility of playing a little with the different straps), even an old gold steel strap expandable for the Bling side to the end. In short, an exceptional piece that I have immense pleasure in wearing, and which does not fail to catch the eye of connoisseurs and neophytes alike. In the end, you can always find a shoe that fits you...

Breitling Bydinator Automatic, Golden (old) Boy 

My first Jaeger…! I have often wondered what my favorite watchmaker was… a difficult question to which I am not sure today that I can give a single and definitive answer… but for sure, and for several years, the Jaeger Lecoultre manufacture is one of those that impose themselves on me and that I carry in my heart. They know how to mix high-flying know-how and sobriety, and their pieces are as impressively poetic and classic as they are relatively discreet. The only small problem… a rather high entry ticket. And that is when, while browsing an online sale, I came across this Club Automatic DayDate. It is sober, simple, but sophisticated at the same time: the deep black background highlights the faceted brushed steel indexes, the day/date window, and contrasts perfectly with the polished case with a slightly cushion shape. The imposing Jaeger buckle gives it a touch of modernity, and it can be worn on stitched leather for a sporty look as well as on crocodile or lizard, which gives it a certain class! In short. A piece that goes everywhere and has many faces, which I have great pleasure in wearing regularly. My first Jaeger Lecoultre… but maybe not my last…?

I bought this Yema a little over 2 years ago now, found at an auction. I had wanted to add a chronograph to my collection for a long time, and when I saw this one I didn't hesitate! Its condition was still very good, the bronze case has a superb patina and gives the watch a unique touch, the light blue tachymeter scale highlights the gold hands, the worked crown adds to the chic side of the whole, the domed mineral glass emphasizes the vintage look... in short, since I have had it, this "little" gem (36mm in diameter and 18mm between the lugs) has been one of my favorites! And it runs like clockwork! With about 40 hours of power reserve once fully wound, it has never let me down! Whether it is mounted on a light suede strap, brown leather, crocodile... everything suits it perfectly! Its little extra...? An openwork sapphire crystal case back that reveals the heart of the watch: a superb Valjoux 92 hand-wound movement. And what a pleasure to hear its clicking, to see all its cogs moving… in short. Like good wine, this Yema has improved with age!

A watch from an iconic French brand that was the first one with which I really set foot in watchmaking and that I wore every day for many years. It was given to me by my grandmother in 2002 for my 26th birthday and although I don't know why it no longer works today, I still keep it in my collection.

The brand Ollech &amp; Wajs was created in 1956 by Joseph Ollech and Albert Wajs in Zurich, Switzerland.
