Yema was created in 1948 by Henry Louis Belmont in Besançon in France. It became famous for its sporty and robust watches made in France and in particular the Yema Superman which in 1963 became the first French watch waterproof to 300 meters. After difficult years during the quartz crisis, Yema has regained momentum by promoting its historical heritage and offering in-house movements like its micro-rotor caliber launched in 2022.

The range includes historic models like the Yema Rallygraf, Yema Superman, Yema Meangraf or Yema Navygraf, as well as more recent models like the Yema Wristmaster Traveller, equipped with the in-house micro-rotor caliber, or the collaboration with Alpine with the Yema Rallygraf Alpine Endurance Team. The brand is also an official partner of the French Air & Space Force, the French Navy and the National Center for Space Studies (CNES).

But Yema Lagoon Blue Superman…

I present to you my YEMA Superman blue lagoon in Quartz version (vast subject ...) it is a very pretty watch but not very loved by lovers of the Yema brand? ... Yet I am one of the people who love Yema and I would never part with this watch ... it is too far from the codes of the iconic superman version of the French brand (I have two other Superman a gmt and a bronze green) ... the blue lagoon has first of all a diameter of 40 mm and its shape and its case is completely different from a classic superman ... But I personally like this watch a lot, it was delivered to me at the time with a steel bracelet but I prefer it on a blue or black Tropic type bracelet and I alternate. Its diameter is 40mm Waterproof 300m Case thickness 13mm mineral glass Price 300 euros.

Ma Superman

I had been wanting a YEMA for some time, and then I chose this model with its immaculate dial background and its superb shark bracelet. It is equipped with the YEMA 2000 4hz manufacture movement with 42 hours of power reserve, protected by a double-domed sapphire and has a diameter of 41mm It also exists in 39 mm. As for precision and comfort, I will get back to you in a few weeks...

My Yema Meangraf

I bought my Yema Meangraf Y70 2 years ago on the Yema website and I am very happy with it. This watch is with a hybrid mechanical quartz Seiko VK64 movement. This watch has a reinforced racing look for this bi-compax chronograph with its kilometer bezel and its yellow and white hands in contrast with the dark gray dial. The steel mesh bracelet of the Meangraf Y70 was made of Milanese mesh for more flexibility and finesse. The clasp is engraved with the historic YEMA logo and adjusts quickly and very easily.
