Yema was created in 1948 by Henry Louis Belmont in Besan&ccedil;on in France. 3rd YEMA Superman, Ø39, this time with GMT function. The evocative power of the famous Pepsi color combination (or rather the colors of Superman's underwear in my opinion) with the ideal case for Superman in my eyes. Always this problem of refraction of light from the double domed glass (see photos). It is a watch that I enjoy wearing as a "24h" watch. I follow the GMT pointer throughout the day, the indexing is very readable along the dark hours & light hours; accompanied by the minute hand for more precision if necessary (we could do without the hour & second hands). I wear it on the original steel bracelet or on yellow perlon, for a slightly more festive & less ceremonious/serious look, so the 3 primary colors yellow / blue / red.

Surely one of my favorites, I like it a lot, as much its size, this touch of color of the GMT, the pie shovel hand of the seconds, the history, that caliber yema 3000 is from a French house (with which I had no personal problems), in fact I find it well made. My only complaints, the metal bracelet that I can't keep, the date that I would have liked more on the left because there it is just under the angle of the domed sapphire crystal and especially frankly in 39 they could have kept the lug spacing in 20mm, 19 is zero as a dimension. Oh and with my stupid humor it always makes me smile to say that it's a superman...batman ;)

Superman Batman 

If there is one purchase that I do not regret, it is this one. After hesitating for a long time to buy the GMT Coke, I finally set my sights on the GMT Steel. No regrets, it is magnificent. Robust and so far reliable despite the problems noted on the Yema in-house calibers. On the other hand, the original steel bracelet is a little wide for small wrists like mine (165mm circumference). In the 39mm version, the watch has a lug to lug of 48mm. This bracelet with male end link brings the lug to lug to 53mm. Too wide therefore. Surely more harmonious for larger wrists. So I brought as a substitute a beige Cordura bracelet from Avel & Men with a very beautiful effect.
