My first Yema, bought on Kickstarter, without having seen it "in real life". Indeed, I had been intrigued by the brand's revival for a while, and the bronze tempted me... After a few months of waiting, I was not disappointed. Perfect operation, "smoked" dial, ideal format... many very good points. Only downsides: a leather strap not up to my expectations (quickly changed), and a slight difference in color between the hands and the indexes.

Yes Bronze GMT

Being more used to wearing sports watches, I opted for this C04 in order to include a dresswatch in my collection. The good reputation of the brand, the quality of their watches and their simple and effective communication convinced me. The watch is simple, but well finished, with interesting details such as the texture of the dial or the feather hands. Its only flaw in my opinion: a crown that is not easy to handle.

Akrone C04 Phantom

This watch is a sure bet. Discreet, subtle, qualitative, with formidable precision (mine is COSC), it is elegant while being sporty, timeless and quite confidential (in France at least because it is not distributed there). For the price paid abroad (less than €500 for me), it is simply unbeatable given what it offers.

Certina DS1 powermatic COSC

A balanced watch, with ideal proportions. Versatile, precise, full of details while being discreet, it refers to the past while not falling into caricature (falsely aged indexes, copy/paste design, etc.). In addition, it goes wonderfully with all kinds of bracelets to be able to vary the pleasures.

Serica 5303-2

This watch is for me the representation of the excellence of the brand and the place it had until the end of the 60s. It is the witness of the golden age of this manufacture that will have invented so many things.
Aaah, if it could speak and tell everything it has experienced, from its manufacture in the Palente factory, the flagship of French watchmaking at the time, it will have experienced so many things on the wrists of its multiple owners…
This is my 2nd vintage and I am won over by its still valiant and fair movement, its comfort of wearing, its contained thickness and its sober but elegant lines. Its manuf movement is less than 3mm thick!
A great discovery and so much pleasure.

A watch like they used to make

Yema was created in 1948 by Henry Louis Belmont in Besan&ccedil;on in France. It became famous for its sporty and robust watches made in France and in particular the Yema Superman which in 1963 became the first French watch waterproof to 300 meters. After difficult years during the quartz crisis, Yema has regained momentum by promoting its historical heritage and offering in-house movements like its micro-rotor caliber launched in 2022.

For me this watch is the very essence of the iconic watch (reprise of the historical model from Yema) with its unique patina to each watch thanks to its Bronze case. The integration of the GMT is just perfect, as is the size of the watch (39mm) which makes it a watch that is both discreet and full of charm. The only flaw I found was the original bracelet, which I corrected by putting a superb custom bracelet made by Xamlam. Good performance in terms of precision for the in-house Yema 3000 movement (+-6 sec/day)

Iconic and unique thanks to its personal patina

The Yema Superman GMT Bronze Limited Edition automatic watch is a travel watch designed by the French company Yema, founded in 1948.
