This Yema Superman accompanies me from sunrise to sunset during the week.
A very comfortable 39mm watch on my 18.5mm wrist, it nevertheless makes itself present thanks to its long lugs (48mm lug to lug) and its metal bracelet that goes all the way to the case.
A robust and comfortable watch, its "U" indexes in relief on the dial give it a dressy side, as does its domed glass and its relative finesse (10.4mm + 2.6mm domed glass).
As for the movement, it is a Sellita SW200 that runs wonderfully. Future revisions will be easy to carry out over time.
A watch that I hope will accompany me for a long time and be able to pass it on to my children in the future.

My new "daily"

Yema was created in 1948 by Henry Louis Belmont in Besan&ccedil;on in France. It became famous for its sporty and robust watches made in France and in particular the Yema Superman which in 1963 became the first French watch waterproof to 300 meters. Nothing led me to look at a French brand like Yema, which I knew little about and for which I had a negative a priori in terms of positioning and quality. And then by chance during a watchmaking stroll, in search of a little pleasure that was not too expensive, I came across this model. Seduced by this matte blue dial (I don't like sunray dials), its unique U-shaped indexes, its pretty domed sapphire crystal and its contained dimensions, 39mm, 13mm thick. All very nicely and perfectly executed. It has everything in addition to the date. Under the spell of this elegant and deliciously retro watch, which does not fall into the Rolex look alike.
