This is a first generation model. I found it on Kickstarter and I immediately subscribed to its seventies look, with a blue dial. I like simple and stripped dials, without date, enhanced by a very discreet notched crown. I wear it with a bonklip bracelet from Joseph Bonnie that I really like in summer when the wrist swells 😉

Hello A quick look back at my latest acquisition: the second-generation black BND. A watch that I owe to Stef and Sylvain (Basyl)… First of all, the origin of the brand: Vincent B became interested in watchmaking very early on and decided, when he was in his thirties, to found his own watch brand. So he created the BND brand and designed a first series of a model with three dial colors. That's when I started hearing about this new brand on different media (Fam, Facebook, etc.) Then, two years later, rather than creating a new watch, he decided to improve his first model. So, he equipped his watches with a screw-down crown, improved the water resistance from 100 to 200 m, put in a sapphire crystal, etc. Personally, I have always admired the approach of these young entrepreneurs who are launching into the design and manufacture of watches. And when Stef entered the brand, I was able to appreciate the work done on these watches. So I fell for a black BND. I find thanks to the finesse of the horns, the profile of the watch, the piercing of the horns a little bit of the feeling that I have with my 14060. So, of course we are not on equivalent watches. Of course there is no chamfer on the BND, of course the quality and the materials are not the same. But the dimensions, the finesse, the comfort, the practicality due to the pierced horns, mean that there is a little bit of that in this watch anyway. I chose the black dial because with the pierced horns, changing the strap is easy. And with a black dial, you can allow yourself all the fancies. On the dial, the brand logo and the marine anchor. Simple, sober, effective. The indexes at 3, 6, 9 and 12 o'clock are triangular, round elsewhere. All loaded with luminova. This makes the watch very readable. The crown is now screwed, but it is also signed. The bezel is unidirectional 120 clicks. I think it was 60 clicks for the first version. Always this desire to improve its product and make it a more accomplished watch that I appreciate. All the indications of the bezel are in luminova. It is both effective and aesthetic. Unless I am mistaken, the glass on the first version was a plexiglass. In this new version, it is a double-domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment. The double dome allows to keep this little vintage air. So here is a watch that offers a lot for a little more than 500 euros. It gives an impression of quality and undeniable solidity. It is versatile thanks to its pierced horns that allow a quick change of the bracelet. Its 20 lug width is standard and allows a wide choice of bracelets (so many brands make 19 or 21 lug widths and limit this choice) A little vintage side of the best effect. I hadn't taken the plunge during the first series and regretted it a little. Then, I learned through social networks that a new version, even more accomplished, was distributed among others by the Clouzeau jeweler... and I cracked! Mainly wearing large diameter watches (rarely under 42 mm), I find this "small" BND perfectly proportioned, sitting perfectly on my wrist, very present and hyper qualitative. For a very reasonable price, we access an astonishing level of finish. And the harmony of the lum of the indexes and the bezel marries wonderfully with the 3 chosen dial colors. In a pure vintage style... An essential watch (anyway, aren't they all???) and to wear in all circumstances, without worry, as it seems so solid and foolproof! Or how to treat yourself at a very low price...

I knew the brand through friends who own it, I was lucky enough to have one and I must admit that I am won over. I wear it almost every day whether I am in a suit or jeans. It is very comfortable to wear, it is beautiful and the finishes are rather good. Its diameter is ideal for me and I find that its blue is perfectly successful. A real surprise

Nice design, top quality manufacturing, plexi glass as we like, waterproof and an endearing founder, a versatility in terms of the color of the dial which changes depending on the light and the bracelet which gives it a completely different personality.
