Why customers love Depancel?

This Depancel Allure is one of my most worn watches of 2024, notably thanks to its versatility, its casual but technical aspect, and the accessible but accomplished message it conveys. The teams behind this brand and this piece, based in Annecy, are true enthusiasts who want to make sophisticated designs accessible, and that is exactly what this Allure accomplishes. The Seagull movement is often criticized, wrongly in my opinion. For almost a year of wearing it very regularly, no reliability issues to report. It is obviously not haute horlogerie, nor even something with foolproof reliability, but it is a very good little tractor that has largely proven itself. It is also a watch that has a perceived value well above its price. I have often worn it during meetings with major collectors and other professionals in the sector (notably at Watches&Wonders), and they all estimated its price at over 2,000 euros. I find this an interesting point to note, which highlights the work of finishing, design and general coherence. For me, it is a pleasure to wear, versatile, accessible, with a real successful neo-vintage 60's identity. Nothing exceptional, just a full pleasure piece that doesn't take itself too seriously.

I have been looking for a chronograph equipped with the famous Seagull ST1901 for a long time. Depancel has made a very beautiful piece with this manual Allure Chronograph. The dial has multiple facets, a black circle with pulsometric + tachymetric scale, a second circle with circular brushing that includes the minute / hour indicators, an inner circle with vertical brushing and two deeper sub-dials with circular brushing. The choice of colors is in my opinion very good. The case mixes polished and brushed, the octagonal crown is original, and the sapphire crystal back allows you to observe this famous movement. The perforated leather strap completes the vintage racing spirit well. The watch is adjusted by a watchmaker in Depancel's premises and it arrives with a small card indicating the adjustment of its precision. It also looks very good on Nato.

I was immediately attracted by this watch and its original look. I did not know the Depancel brand but the YTB reviews were good. I like to wear it with casual outfits / jeans and the retro side goes well with my now mature age. Not too often either. Without having measured it, it still drifts a little. The date / day / month settings are nice and well arranged

The real emotion only appeared once on my wrist. I find the size well proportioned. Its amber green background plays with the rays of the sun and/or any light source to offer you a changing range of greens... The orange-yellow chrono hand stands out without ostentation while perfectly matching the whole. To read the distance traveled in 1 minute and the corresponding speed, presbyopes will need their pair of glasses... Too bad the DEPANCEL logo is permanently hidden by the chrono hand.

Passionate about F1, it was through a LucasParleF1 competition that I discovered the Depancel brand and the Pista GT. With the appearance of a sports watch, its finesse allows it to keep a classy look, associated with its sobriety and the combination of black and red make this watch a watch that can be worn every day. My story is that of a motorsport fanatic who extended his passion to watches with a Depancel Pista GT. Its design inspired by racing cars makes it a remarkable piece because it is very close to the attributes that I like in racing cars. Before choosing, I looked at a few other brands inspired by cars or racing such as BRM, Reservoir or Autodromo and I decided on the Pista GT which was the one that most resembles my aspirations: fairing look, black case like the tires and visible caliber like the linkage of an engine. Every time I wear this watch, I feel transported to the world of motor racing at Spa at Le Mans or Laguna Seca for fans of California. I find - on a very personal level - that it goes beyond the status of an accessory to become a real extension of my passion for speed and adrenaline... All at a sweet price of €1250! A lifelong watch lover, I was looking for a quality automatic to wear every day. If possible, made in France. After being exposed to the launch campaign on social media, it was in pre-order in the summer of 2021 that I was tempted by this P model, Pista GT. Delivered in bulky, slightly outdated packaging, the watch itself looks great. Despite a somewhat large-looking case, the watch on the wrist is still quite thin, very comfortable to wear. Its beautifully crafted black leather strap is perforated, stitched with red thread, and optionally equipped with a 22mm folding clasp. While many codes from motorsport adorn it (red stitching on the strap, red edging on the crown, graduation like the red zone of a rev counter), the design of the Pista GT is balanced and remains elegant. The sporty details can be appreciated by looking at it closely, which makes it less flashy than many models of the same kind. Its 42mm steel case equipped with an anti-reflective sapphire crystal is highlighted by a black PVD coated, notched outline, with the appearance of a sports tire. Within it, a skeleton dial reminiscent of a supercar rim and its brake disc. On the mechanical side, it is powered by a Swiss automatic movement (STP - caliber 6-15) with a 44-hour reserve, whose witness is judiciously placed in the location of the 'brake disc'. After a year, this Pista GT continues to proudly wear it on my wrist daily, without sparing it: as a biker, it endures the ravages of the weather.... In addition to a very good quality-price ratio, I do not regret this purchase at any time. The quality of assembly and the finishing details even impressed a friend working in Swiss precision watchmaking, a guarantee of quality. The only defect due to wear is at the level of the leather loops which are starting to split.
